Good lord, this place is an absolute mess. I cannot tell you how many times they misplaced or lost my records. Highly unorganized staff. The wait is ridiculous! My dog is a rescue with a plethora of health problems, and I could not get these people on the phone about 80% of the time. If you ever want to contact them via their website, forget it. Dr. Kerwin insinuated that my dog had chronic KCS because I was not administering drops properly; I went to Dr. Hacker in El Cerrito (highly recommended, by the way) and discovered that this was just not the case, and extra medication did the trick. I had an appointment and had to wait literally hours before being seen! It would be nice if they were more professional. The customer service is very poor to say the least.The place is too hot in the summer, and the animals suffer in the heat due to the heat and the extended wait. I submitted an online request for an appointment at the Pleasant Hill Veterinary Hospital's website, but never received a call from them. So, I called and made an appointment. I came to my appointment, and waited 45 minutes....this was too long so I rescheduled with the front desk. On my next appointment, I waited 60 minutes before I was shown to a waiting room. Well, the doctor was nice enough. She did a urinalysis for my dog ($140 for visit including antibiotics and urinalysis for a UTI of my dog), and said she'd call the next day. Never heard from them, so I called them and asked for the results.....never heard from them.....ever. This place lacks communication and organization.
