The lot in the back is owned by Pizza Palace, who rents the space to City of Elmhurst so they can generate revenue by issuing tickets. When the City of Elmhurst did not want to pay a higher rate from their 1960s rent price, the owner did pay people to stand outside and tell anyone that parked there that they could not park there unless they were customers. It lasted only a short time, and the City of Elmhurst paid the higher rent. Pizza Palace now has designated spots for their patrons. more

Not worth the bother 5/30/2008

I cannot, in good conscience, encourage anyone to patronize the Pizza Palace in Elmhurst. As a long time Elmhurst resident, I have eaten there from time to time. The pizza has always been satisfactory. If my most recent visit had unfolded as my previous visits had, I suspect that I would have given this restaurant a good rating. This visit was different. Go for the pizza, but you just have to order Onion Rings for starters. You won't get frozen processed onion rings here, these HEFTY babies were sliced, battered and deep fried when you ordered them! Pros: Family comfortable, Great value, and of coarse PIZZA Cons: Can't think of any! more
