DO NOT RENT FROM THESE PEOPLE! Look them up on Yelp and you will see that i am not the only one saying this. In fact it is all over the Annual lease renewals are always the maximum amount they can charge by law. Mine just went up $120 after the first year regardless of the fact that my shower and hot water has not worked properly since i moved in almost a year ago. A homeless man sleeps on the inside stairwell near my apartment. I have to step over him in the mornings. People leave their garbage outside their front door in the hallway all night because they are too lazy to go the basement to dispose of it. The super, property manager and landlord know and don't care. In this 100 degree weather we will soon have rodents, insects and i am sure you can imagine how nice the smell is. The inside of the apartment is just as bad. Paint splatters everywhere... and i mean huge thick drips. Doors are painted over so many times they don't fit in the door frames properly anymore. Electric sockets painted over so there are not unusable (and probably a safety hazard). I complained of mold in the bathroom and they came in and partially tiled over it. And i mean partially. There's a deep window ledge and they put two tiles where it should have been 4 to even it out. They basically tiled over the mold on the edges and now we have a half tiled ledge. It's the laziest work i have ever seen. The bathroom hand towel rail is embedded into the wall and honestly drops by over an inch on one side. It looks like a drunk person installed it. A friend lives in one of their newer buildings. They were told by the landlord that if they went on to Yelp and wrote them a good review, then they would ""take care"" of their lease renewal as a thank you. My friend did as she was asked and her first years rent went up by $120 a month regardless. This is why i do not believe any of the positive reviews on here. No doubt other people were offered the same deal. Everything i have read online about Pistilli is that they are slum landlords. I unfortunately learned how true this was the hard way. I have complained so many times about my shower and hot water situation. They could care less. I have basically been told by our so called Property Manager (who is honestly a building maintenance person at best) that the Landlord doesn't want to spend the money to repair anything. Nice to know that my hefty rent payment each month just goes straight in his pocket. more

RUN FARTHER THAN THE HILLS.\r \r Pistilli is quite possibly the worst company I have every worked with. Not just realty. Like literally anything ever. They will sign in a contract that they dont have bed bugs, and you'll find out from neighbors that ""oh yea sure this building always has bed bugs"".\r \r All scum. more

I wanted an apartment in a safe area, that was suitable for a young family, and they found me the perfect 2 bedroom in a safe neighborhood for an affordable price. I can't complain! more

Just rented an apartment through Pistilli and had a very good experience. They all seemed very professional and helpful and responded in a timely manner to my emails and voice mails. I would recommend them to anyone first and foremost because of their customer service. more

Got my apartment at a excellent price and on top of that they are always checking on me to see if everything is going good with the apt. more

I just signed the lease for are apartment that was supposed to be "" completely renovated"" even after I read the reviews here. I was introduced to this management company through the Halstead Properties Agent, so I thought they will do "" renovations"" as promise, but at the lease signing the property manager said that renovations of certain areas will be just partial. In hope this management company deliver what they promise. I will update my review as soon I see some advance in the work. more

I rented and currently live in an apartment for over 3 years.. and counting. I agree not everything is perfect, but with time things truly get done lately. I recently just had my whole place painted and I can say I'm happy with the work, I even had my furniture moved for me. So far I am having a pleasent experience but I can't speak for everyone........ My super is responsive and helps when I have a little problem and I also have an office to reach out in case of any problem. Angela from Peter Munit more

I rented from them for 3yrs and after I moved out they refused to return some of the security stating walls needed to be repainted even though they never painted prior to me moving in. I called the management co. repeated and was told most former tenants only get a portion of security back. DO Not rent from the management co. Trust me, I am a NY native and have dealt with many management companies bf with no problem but this company takes your security and fixes building on your dime. Pros: Nada Cons: Everything..buildings old and only want rent more

I had this misfortunte of dealing with the Pistilli Realty Company. They are dishonest, rude, and delinquent. I not only had the grave misfortunte of living in one of their ""luxury"" homes which are a real piece of work. 1) the flooring had regular gaps that were never filled in 2) there was an awful smell coming from the bathrooms during the summer months 3) the super only responded to requests to fix things if we brought up our rights as tenants to withhold rent 4) when the ceiling caved in from water damage we found that that part of the ceiling was held up with duck tape 5) rats 6) cockroaches 7) no heat 8) never repaired a/c heat 9) the management office told us we would get our security deposit back and i did the walkthrough with the super- ROBERT and one of the managers, Mike, who agreed their was no damage. Then they turned around and said there was damage upon reexamining the place. we had pictures to prove that they were trying to scam us out of our damage deposit. so they go back on their word which is opportunistic and deceitful. 10) they moved my bike, didn't tell me, then blamed me when it couldnt be recovered. 11) 3/4 door had large 2 inch gaps on the floor, so there was decreased safety/privacy and not as asthetically pleasing, not to mention less safe if there was a fire/gas leak 12) they used the cheapest of quality and skimped on every detail in their cabinets (no shelves) 13) no fan above the stove (who knew to look underneath for a fan, should be there!) 14) 3/4 fridge, 15) akward layouts 16) pain in the ass to move in and out (think about walking 2 city aves to move out) because hallways are long and windy 17) regular breakdowns of elevators Pros: ZERO Cons: dishonest, rude, conniving, greedy, unfair, lazy, unethical more
