A lot of fun 5/18/2011

A lot of fun, but expect to get involved, all but one of the 6 people we had with us got involved. Go in a good mood and make sure you get there for the preshow for the appetizers, drinks and story line. The singing was good, and the acrobatics are awesome. The food was good enough. I wouldn't go all the time, but it's fun when you have people in from out of town. I like it better than Medieval Times, more to watch and more interesting. more

We loved this show 5/16/2011

We loved this show! My hubby (then boyfriend) took me there for a surprise. I'd never been to this kind of dinner with a show before, everything was very joyful for me. The pre-show before the real show was very fun, with parrot and pirates jumped on the table, screaming and fighting. We were laughing so hard, and I think our drinks and beer plus the free appetizers (sausages, meatballs, etc.) must've helped to make everything look funnier. The show was fine, the part that we cheered for our green pirate was more fun. The food however, to my surprise, was very yummy, big portion and very tasty. I had two free rounds of red wine (but I don't think they offer that anymore,) which was very nice! The servers there work really hard, so remember to tip them well. more

More fun than Medieval Times 5/9/2011

More fun than Medieval Times There is a lot more crowd participation in this show, which makes it awesome for kids. Everyone seemed to have a great time taking part in the show. The story didn't really matter so much to me. It was entertaining anyway with all of the acrobatics and seeing all the kids volunteering. more

It was perfect 5/5/2011

It was perfect! I loved the show. My kids got involved and loved it too. I would definitely come again. more

My fiance loved the BBQ pork 4/29/2011

Me and my fiance went to Pirates Dinner Adventure for our 3rd anniversary and we loved it. The vegetarian lasagna dish was the best I have ever tasted. My fiance loved the BBQ pork. The show was really good too. We will definately be going back with the kids. more

Our server made it fun 4/27/2011

Thanks for including the kids! Made it for them! Our server helped make this a lot. She was GREAT. We appreciate her! She worked hard and politely. more

Anyone who goes will have a good time 4/26/2011

We went to Pirate Adventure for my son's 10th birthday. Our family of four was pleasantly surprised. The show was action packed, entertaining, and the singing was good, too. The food was perfectly cooked. (Though I do agree with another reviewer that it is hard to eat chicken off the bone in the dark.) Our server, Steve, was wonderful and attentive. He made sure both our kids got in the show and paid special attention to the birthday boy. I purchased the upgraded seats. We sat in the first row of the purple section. When we sat down, I was a bit disappointed because there were some ropes directly in front of us that I thought would obstruct our view. It was really not a problem, though. The only let down was that I paid $10 more for a birthday announcement and it was pretty lame. They ask anyone with birthdays to stand up anyway. I would skip that the next time. I think anyone who goes and is willing to just go along with the hokeyness of the show will have a good time. more

All of our kids want to come back 3/23/2011

Using the kids in the show is genius!! They all want to come back. more

The show was pretty interesting 3/10/2011

How fun is this?! So ive never been here and my friend and I decided that since we got an email for admission at the price of $20.09 instead of over $50 for the next week or so, we said hey lets do it! So yesterday i met up around 6pm with my friend and her mom for the show. I walk in and they're standin there, pimp cups in hand, wanting to take a picture with the pirate guy standing there. One of the workers dressed in all black [[meant to be another pirate im thinking]] came over and said, """"now those are some hot wenches! you dont even need him in the picture"""" haha. then when we were done taking the picture, he lined us up and gave our booties a smack. """"hey i like this place!"""" i thought. The preshow had barely started and they were serving appetizers on the other side of the large room. I went to the bar and got a pimp cup full of alcohol myself [[pink of course]] and made my rounds to the food table. They had a stuffed ravioli station [[beef or spinach w/ marinara sauce]]. You only get one of each on your plate, but you can come back for more. They had a meat station with turkey [[i think it was turkey]] and that was really good. They also had a cheese/ham and crackers station and a veggie station. I enjoyed my little appetizers and pre dinner show. They seat you by the color of your ticket and we got orange. The inside of this place where the actual show occurs was really nice. Its not too big inside so wherever row you sit [[which is also already picked by whats on your ticket]] has a nice view. So as people were coming in to sit, our server passed around salad. So im gettin ready to eat it and i look up and our pirate, Andre, goes """"HEY! come here!"""" """"Huh? Me?"""" """"What?"""" I point to my friend HOPING he was looking at her..... NOPE, he just picked me to be a part of the show! """"ahhhh crap!"""" is what i think as Im walking down to the front.... i just wanted to eat and watch the show. He tells me that I'm going to be in the 4th competition, which is a tie breaker. That told me ok, so even though you just picked six people to participate in four competitions, we already know a winner..... The show starts and its pretty entertaining. You have to be a kid at heart to enjoy this or you're going to think it's super corny and it was a waste of money. My friend said the head pirate looked like a member of KISS. He did so I couldnt take him seriously as a pirate haha. You may lose your voice if you get into the show because you're constantly rooting for your color/pirate and booing the rest. When it came time for my competition, I was actually the first to attach my flag to the rope and pull it up. But thats irrelevant because we werent gonna win anways. Because of the lightning at certain times, it was hard to eat because you couldnt see your food. I also had a hard time because I was nervous I was gonna miss my queue to go down and participate. I chose to eat the chicken and shrimp. I read alot of reviews that the beef didnt look right, looked like dog food, etc. I thought the food was good and so was the service. At the end of the meal, the waiter tells you it is encouraged to give a $5 tip per person. I dont know if they should be saying that because of how much it normally is. I honestly would come back again but only if I get that $30 discount again. Alot of fun but I dont think it's worth paying full price more

Was cute how they get the kids involved 3/8/2011

i thought that this show was really good. went with a couple of my friends. they had good cheeses and appetizers before the actual show. and we had really good seats, so that was good. it was so entertaining. and there was so much food. you pretty much had to eat with your hands though. kind of going along with the motif. it's cute how they really get the kids involved. more

I very much enjoyed the entire experience 3/4/2011

My boyfriend took me to the Pirates Dinner for my birthday and I very much enjoyed the entire experience. After you pay for admissions, you are given a pirate head band to tie over your head and a few mardi gras beads. You are also presented a team, whom you cheer for during the show. You are greeted by all you can eat appetizers including fruits, celery and carrot sticks, cheese and crackers, and buffalo wings before the show and once the show start, you are stuffed with another 3 course meal! I have to say, it was worth the price, and trust me if you walk out hungry, there had to be something wrong! And the waiter was nice enough to give us free wine and beer! more

Very entertaining 2/28/2011

You will love this attraction. I took my european family to the Pirate Adventure Dinner Show in Orlando and we all absolutely loved it. The Pre-Dinner show was very entertaining and the appetizers (i.e. salmon on cracker, steamed veggies, sauces and dips, roast beef, salads) absolutely yummi and filling in itself. The main show and dinner/dessert with 2 rounds of beer and wine. All was well worth the price we paid. Our server was very attentive and friendly. We did not purchase tickets directly from the official website. We got discount tickets, something you may want to explore. Overall, a wonderful experience I would recommend to anyone. more

Had a great experience 2/25/2011

When you first get there, you really don't know what to expect. It's right next to Medieval times and looks like an old Victorian type building with a un-pirately shade of pink/lavender. Medieval Times is a castle, shouldn't Pirate's Adventure be a pirate ship? I got there late, so I wasn't able to see the pre-show or have any of the appetizers. And one of the workers greeted us with a, ""you just got here? oh man, the appetizers are even better than the food you get during the show."" The inside of the building just feels a bit uninspired. It almost felt like this was a cheap knockoff of another Pirate Dinner Adventure show. When you get into the main room, you feel small in scale due to the rows and rows of kids, and this boat in the middle room. The boat itself was a bit disappointing. It was smaller than I thought, and it was basically a grand version of a raft. The room is loud. Kids are talking and laughing with excitement. I went with a group of 15 twenty two year olds. You could imagine how out of place we felt. When you find your seat, an unpleasant looking salad is waiting for you at your table. It looks like it's been there for half an hour or so. I eat it. The room is divided into different sections according to color. And each section had their own pirate. While you're eating your salad the pirates try to rally the section and get everyone excited for the show. The waiters gladly get you beer and soda. This is probably the only time they'll be glad to get you anything. I think I was only able to get two cups of beer. The actual dinner was bleh. Not bad, but not that good. You have the choice of chicken and seafood, or chicken and beef. I had the seafood, I think it was the riskier, but better of the two. I did enjoy the dessert - warm apple pie and ice cream. The show itself made no sense. There's something about love in there, people are singing, some out of place competitions, and some cirque de soleil type of acrobat that seemed to be thrown in for no reason. Even the interactive events had no cause or effect on the story of the show. Although it sounds like I'm at the point where I hate this place. I don't. I had one of most fun times in my life. When the show started my friends and I decided that the only way to make this enjoyable was to put our all into interacting with the show and supporting our pirate and section. And that made it one hell of a time. Most of us almost lost our voices from yelling so much. Five of us got to participate and carry fake treasure chests past the stage. Just being open made this a great experience. So to throw caution in the wind - if you're a shy person, or not someone willing to put himself/ herself out there, you'll probably have a bad time. Conclusion: Get there early for the appetizers, they're better than the dinner. Be open to the experience or else it'll suck. And yell like crazy. more

The show was nice, a lot of action 2/22/2011

For $60 dollars you get dinner and a show. You have a choice of Chicken with Beef, or Chicken with Shrimp. You also get two rounds of beer too! The show was nice, a lot of action. I even got to be in the show! They pulled me out of the audience to be in the show. The waiters were also very friendly. more

WOW this place was cheesy AND fun! 2/16/2011

WOW was this place cheesy; but it was fun too. If you have kids in the 5-10 yr range they will love it, but don't expect much as far as the food goes. They can be flowing with the free beer, depending on your server, so getting drunk and yelling loud makes it fun if you lack the little ones. So in short, bring your little kids or your thirst and you will be fine. more

My entire party had a blast 2/10/2011
