STAY AWAY FROM PIONEER GAS!!\r
\r
1.) THEY DO NOT OPEN ON TIME. \r
-I mean how many times do you really need to call your gas company? Not often. But when you do, it's usually an emergency. And most of the time, it's when they're closed. So you wait until they open at 8:30am to call, but nobody gets there to turn the phones on and start the business day until 8:50-9:00am... that's bad business. \r
\r
2.) THEY'RE RUDE AND CONDESCENDING. \r
-Being in the business of providing gas to families to HEAT their homes, you should ALWAYS be polite and understanding with the customer. ""It is incidentally YOUR customer Pioneer!"" So having rude people work for and represent the company... that's bad business. \r
\r
3.) THEY CHARGE $223 FOR EMERGENCY TRIPS. \r
-Pay attention... this is important. Pioneer claims that their prices are so cheap because they're only in your town ONCE a week! ""WHAT?!?!"" So if you EVER need them to come out on ANY other day than the ONE day they come to your town, you'll be charged. That's not only ridiculous, but not fair to the customer... that's bad business. \r
\r
4.) THEY LIED... TWICE!!!\r
-By far, my biggest reason for switching. This time, I was told that the closest driver to my town was far away, and that I had to PREPAY the emergency fee to have them come right away. They opened late that day as usual, so this was shortly after 9am. I paid in advance and asked for them to come as soon as possible. I STILL DIDN'T HAVE HEAT WHEN I GOT HOME AT 6:30pm!!! I called the answering service (because the office was now closed) and they sent a guy out right away. He was there within 20 minutes. The driver was very apologetic. He said, ""I wish I knew... I was in the NEXT TOWN OVER ALL DAY!"" \r
\r
So I pre-paid their exorbitant fee AND I pre-paid for 100 gallons of fuel, and they never sent anyone... that's bad business!!!\r
\r
I bought my house with a tank from Pioneer already on the property, so I had no chance to choose a company... but I DO NOW. \r
\r
EVERYONE in my life has told me to go with RURAL GAS. So again...\r
\r
...STAY AWAY FROM PIONEER GAS!!
