Michael and his realty team have been a pleasure to rent from. All complaints regarding the normal weathering of these old Philadelphia rentals are always attended to immediately and professionally. He is kind and patient. I highly recommend his property. Pros: Great locations more

I've had the misfortune of renting from slumlords before, and Pine Realty definitely are not that. I had read the negative reviews online but I did my own due diligence - I figured there would be much more than one or two bad reviews on the internet if they were really that bad. And while I've only been renting for a few months from them, I've found everything to be fine. The apartment and building are nice and the location is unbeatable. Michael Sher has always picked up the phone and addressed any questions or concerns we have had. Granted it's only been a few months but, so far so good. The apartment is a great deal and I'm hoping to stay here for quite a while. So far so good. Pros: Good location, great value Cons: None so far more

Michael Sher was very kind to my family and I when we came to Philadelphia. My father and I came to him with a very troubling situation and he was able to help us out. He waived the security deposit so we could move in and have a place to stay. We lived at 1504 Pine Street and enjoyed the time we spent there. Right downtown, it was very useful to us to be so close to public transportation. If something was broken, he got it fixed. He also helped us resolve a problem with noisy neighbors. I read the reviews that were written and thought I had to add something because they seem very inaccurate. It is possible to say that this guy has a unique sense of humor, but to say that he is a slumlord or unfair couldn't be further from the truth. I also referred a friend to him and she lived at 1326 Spruce Street and was extremely happy with her stay. I believe he actually had to fix a problem in the building at 2 a.m. and it was addressed that same night. Just my two cents. more

TOTAL SLUMLORD. I can't emphasize this enough. He does not take care of any of the buildings he owns and/or manages. Do not rent or sign a lease from this individual. The lease documents are extremely restrictive and border on illegal. Cons: Big thumbs down. Slumlord of the highest order. more

Michael Sher personally owns these buildings that he claims to just ""manage"". It is a DISGRACE. He is an absolute slum lord. Locks are missing on windows and doors. There is a terrible rodent and insect probelm. It's totally filthy. And we constantly deal with horrible water/plumbing emergencies. We call and email and he does NOTHING. NEVER RENT FROM THIS GUY. Total nightmare of an experience. Can't wait for the lease to end. more
