You must come here for your hair! Anita is amazing! I've been getting my hair cut with her since 2002! She just started doing the brazilian treatment on my hair and I received SO many compliments. Anita knows what looks good on people but also listens to what you want. She is truly THE BEST! You also have to see Julie for hair color. I've been seeing Julie for just about as long and you can't go wrong. I've always loved my hair color and never have had any damage. She is very knowledgable and does a fantastic job!! I also have to comment on the receptionist, Shannon. She is so friendly and sweet and is also very efficient at her job. She's fast at making appointments & is truly a pleasure to work. Overall, an AMAZING & OUTSTANDING team!! more

This is the letter I just sent them: Attn: Angie Angie, I have received 5 laser hair removal treatments from you, originally purchasing 6 via a groupon, and pre-paid an additional $225+ for the bikini area. I missed my appointment last time, but I did call and let you know I couldn't make it because traffic was really bad. Today I spaced our reschedule, and I apologize for wasting your time. However, I tip you well and treat you with respect, and I do not appreciate the fact that I am now stuck with hair on my cho-cha and an unsupportive esthetician. I can take some responsibility here, but what irks me is the fact that I won't be reimbursed and I feel I was very fair on gratuity. If the $20-$30 I gave you each session plus the pre-payment, plus the groupon expense, I should get another chance. But now I don't want to come to your salon or recommend people there at all. Have a Very Merry Christmas! (see the irony?) more

Best Laser Hair Removal 9/28/2011

I have wanted to have the Laser Hair Removal for a very long time but I was a bit nervous. When I met with Angie she was patient and explained everything to me. She let me know it would take 6 to 8 treatments and let me know what to expect. She was awesome and the result is amazing. I cant believe I waited so long! I would highly recommend Angie! \r more

I have been to a variety of salons but Angie was excellent. I've had the 3M Facial, Laser Hair Removal, Skin Tightening & the Obagi NuDerm System! Angie took her time to talk to me, explaining the process thoroughly, and made me feel very comfortable! more

Great Laser Tech 9/26/2011

Three Genesis Laser facials, Obagi NuDerm Transformation System and four and half months later, for the first time in my life , I am receiving compliments on my skin. One co-worker even said my skin looked brighter, youthful, & clear! Thank You Angie!\r more

Awful Laser technique 4/10/2011

I bought the laser hair removal groupon and decided to have the ""Brazilian"" done. Angie misses huge areas and is not thorough at all. The last time I went, I timed it and it took her less than 6 minutes to do the whole brazilian area or I guess what she considers the whole area.\r I'm just glad I didn't spend much. more

Worst brazilian Ever 11/11/2010

I got a ""Brazilian"" from Angie this afternoon and it was the absolute worst experience I have ever had at a salon. The woman was fumbling with the wax and strips.. she was putting the wax on WAY too hot, and she was RE-waxing spots that had been done, while spilling wax on me along the way.. on top of it all it took her 45 minutes and she only did the top and the sides- and still charged $55. I should have known how bad it was when she handed me the wax-off and left the room. more

I love this salon so much. Not only will Ruel give you the best head massage ever he will also make you look beautiful!! Every time I go to Picasso I feel welcomed and happy to be there. Everyone is warm and I always walk away happy. I recommend this salon and Ruel to everyone in Portland!!! Pros: Great style, good prices, and nice people more

Worth the trip to LO! 2/8/2009

After moving to the Portland area a few years ago from Vegas, I was so disappointed with the amount of style not only in clothing, but in hair stylists!!! That is until I found Picasso's and Rachel! Wow! Finally, a place that reminds me that there is high quality in the Northwest! Not only do they give you the personal attention that is always found in a high class salon, they still are able to be themselves and are not uptight in the least amount! Rachel is amazing! I am someone that is constantly changing my cut, color, etc... and she is so accomodating and hits it on the spot EVERY time! Pros: Professional Upscale Salon with FABULOUS staff! Cons: NONE! more

Just moved to Lake O, and was looking through citysearch for a good salon, and luckily I found one! Love the salon, is very cute, but most importantly my hair stylist Rachel was fabulous! I told her an idea of what I wanted, and she gave me a great cut and full highlights that actually turned out really pretty (i have dark brown hair and have struggled to find a stylist that could give me the highlights i wanted). I used to go to Toni and Guys in the mall, but for one reason, Anita. Anita in my opinion is the best stylist there. I've only ever been happy there. When Anita moved to Picasso, I followed her. I highly recommend her as a stylist. The price for a haircut is CHEAP! Only $60. I get my hair colored by Cherrie, who I also very highly recommend. She is also a really good stylist, so if Anita isn't in, (She is pregnant, you know) I schedule my hair appointment with her. They know what looks good with your complexion, and your face shape. Color for my hair costs around $110 dollars. This salon is very professional and worth every penny. Overall, highly recommended. BEST SALON IN PORTLAND! 3/12/2008

Worth the drive to Lake Oswego to have Louise or Anita do your hair! They take the time to really do an amazing job and the whole process feels so pampering and relaxing. I've been going for 3 years and have always been incredibly impressed with their work and the environment that Picasso creates.\r \r I also had my wedding hair done here by Anita. The salon accomodated my 11 bridesmaids plus moms. We were all in and out in under 3 hours and everyone looked flawless. I can't say enough good things! Lovely salon, friendly staff, reasonable prices 1/29/2008

I see Louise for cut & color. They also have an estetician on staff that I plan on seeing one day. Louise is wonderful - roots color is about $50, cut & roots was around $85. Cheaper than I paid in dowtown PDX, and she's better! Pros: cute, clean, stylish & relaxing salon more

LOVE the results of my laser facial! 12/6/2007

Okay, so I was very nervous about getting lasered but all my friends are doing it and it looks really good. So I decided to do it. I freaked out a little because I thought I could smell burning hair! Well the lady that did my face was so nice. She stopped, explained that this is normal and waited until I calmed down before continuing. After the treatment, I noticed an immediate glow to my face! It's now a week later and my skin is even better. This is my first post to citysearch ever but I loved the results enough to be motivated to recommend it highly to everyone! Oh and by the way. I chose this salon after getting 5 price quotes from 5 med spas and chose this salon because it was the best pricing by far! Pros: Results and Value Cons: A little bit of discomfort but worth it. more

The best customer service!! 10/11/2007

this salon has amazing customer service. My stylist Ruel was so awesome, ready to take my vision and make it work for my hair!! So not rushed, he took his time to make sure I was happy. He also does the best massage while washing hair!! He did fabulous color as well as cut. Ruel rocks and I will stay with him! I would recommend this salon to everone! Paul's the man 10/8/2007

Paul at Picasso is an artist. He can color your hair to be the perfect shade you could never quite get anyplace else, while leaving it soft, silky, and shiny. Also, he has a great personality, and makes it fun and interesting to spend the time it takes to get your hair done. After I had seen him a few times, I took the plunge and had the long hair I have had for over 20 years cut short, with fabulous results. I am a faithful fan and client! It is obvious he is doing what he loves, with humor and interest both in the hair and the client. more

Great Hair - CRAPPY PHONE SERVICE!!! 1/17/2007

Picasso Salon has a very talented group of people working for them however, the phone customer service is REDICULOUS!!! You can NEVER reach a person on the phone - it goes to voicemail and believe its a true hinderance on their facility. IF they want to continue growing and be service oriented HIRE A RECEPTIONIST who's main job is to handle that phone. Talent alone does not make a business. You have some amazing talented hair stylists at your salon its unfortunate to not be able to reach anyone on the telephone OR get a prompt call back. My business (great hair or not) is going elsewhere to a more service oriented place. The age of the internet and voicemail is great for some things but haircare and salons is not one of them. Your voicemail system is TRULY TRULY hurting your business. I don't care how busy you may be or are....because of the lack of phone service and availability - I'd rate the salon a 1 for that alone. more

Great Hair! 4/28/2004

Before Picasso, I was very disappointed. I was new to the area and looking for a good stylist. I saw Danny Green for my hair and Daniela for my eyebrow wax. Both are superior in their field. Danny fixed my bad haircut and I left very relieved. Both listened to what I wanted and I ended up looking great! The others that I saw and spoke with were just as professional and helpful.
