I can't say enough nice things about Pettyjohns from the initial telephone call with a live polite person with knowledge of the service and process I was going to experience to the teamwork to meet my "emergency" needs to the fastidious delivery and reinstallation of my rugs. They were on their hands and knees making sure the rug was perfectly placed and smooth and then even placed my furniture back on it. And all very affordable. Not to mention the cleaning process and out come. I know I sound like a family member but I had never met any of them before...but you would never know it. I sent three more back with them- two extra fragile and one not so much. They are kind, polite, respectful people to boot Well worth the experience! They are awesome more

absolutly the best 1/16/2014

I came from out of town (2hrs) to have Pettyjohns clean my Flokati. Up until I found them I had been unable to locate anyone to clean this type of rug. Pettyjohns professionals did not give up on my rug! The rug came to them with pet urine and other stains...frankly, I had given up on the rug ever being cleaned. To my amazement the Flokati is now stain and odor free...it is amazing! Thank you for your above and beyond customer service, professionalism and never giving up!! more

Top of the line. A great company. 12/23/2013

I was converting my office into a lease space and had Pettyjohn's Cleaning come and restore some carpets. There were some stain lines where the furniture was, so I had them clean it up. These were distinctive lines, and the cleaner tried several times to take them out. He tried several things and stuck with it until it wasn't visible. Everything looks great! I'm happy with the service. more

Our experience with Pettyjohn's was one that we won't soon forget! It was obvious from the beginning that Robert and his crew not only knew what they were doing when it comes to cleaning rugs, but they went the extra mile by making us feel so comfortable handing over our prized possessions! The office staff was also very professional, courteous and followed up when they said they would. I will never take my rugs anywhere else - we knew they needed cleaning, but they came back better than new! Pettyjohn's proves that shopping with your small, local business' give you such a high quality of service that the National Chain stores only wish they could! more

Caring and enthusiastic about every single rug they wash 12/3/2013

Thank You Mr. Pettyjohn for caring so much about my two throw rugs. Although they are not expensive, you treated them as if they were one of the most important rugs in your shop. I have had them for years. They are the perfect color and size for the area in my home, so I keep cleaning them instead of replacing them. Your staff is enthusiastic and caring about each and every rug that comes in. You and Karen are a joy to be around. Thanks more

Outstanding service! 11/26/2013

We have used Pettyjohn's for many years to clean our rugs. Our aging dog has given them some big challenges - cleaning, deodorizing, restoring - and they have always exceeded expectations. This was no exception. Pettyjohn's cleaned our leather couches and cushions after years of wear and tear, neutralizing tough pet odors and renewing their surfaces. We will continue to use these comfy pieces for years to come. more

The rug was green! 10/15/2013

I took my rug to Pettyjohn's to be cleaned. I bought this rug in Jordan pre-9/11, and I wasn't going to trust it to just any cleaner. after I got the rug back, it was just like new--with the color restored to its vibrant greens and browns. Apparently letting my son sit on the rug to take off his sand- filled shoes had not been a good idea. But Pettyjohn's took care of it with great customer service. I can't recommend them enough. more

Been back time and time again with several expensive carpets from the middle east. Not only a great cleaning job, very customer oriented and I received an education about the cleaning process and care for my carpets. more

Pettyjohn's Rug Care are always here when they say they will be. They always do a great job, too. I feel I can trust the people they hire, and I absolutely know I can trust the Pettyjonhs. They always call back after the service to make sure it was done okay. When there have been times that something like moving my furniture wasn't actually discussed, they were willing to do it anyway. They constantly go above and beyond what's expected. They are very professional, and they clearly know what they're doing. Although the price is higher than anyone else, I know for sure that I won't get that level of service with any other company. In fact, the Pettyjohns have been cleaning my SAME carpet for 27 years. I've had kids and animals on it, and people can't believe it's the same one! more

I hired Pettyjohn's Rug Care for a commercial building. They provided me with wall to wall carpeting cleaning, and they far exceeded all of my expectations. They were able to analyze the problem and provide me with different options for cleaning solutions. They got the job done beautifully. I have already used them a couple of times and will continue doing business with them. They deserve the best ratings. Based on value for dollars spent, no one is better. more

Pettyjohn's has earned an excellent reputation because they know what process to use to clean in home carpets as well as oriental rugs. They also do a wonderful job repairing oriental rugs. My rugs always come back in a timely manner and look fabulous. Their delivery team is neat, polite and does a great job moving your furniture and making sure everything is where the customer wants it to be placed. more

The service and work on my carpets was excellent. I took Pettijohn's two wool area rugs for cleaning. One needed a new backer as it had rotted away while in storage. Both were returned to me like new. If you are like me and love to do business with nice people this place is for you!! more
