Flag Cleaning . 6/27/2013

The misplaced flag from my father's funeral in1966 was recently located. I wanted to get it cleaned and restored if possible. After a brief on line search I found the wonderful people at Pettyjohn's who offered to clean the flag at no cost. I think it speaks volumes about what type of people are running this company. Excellent job on both area rugs and wall to wall cleaning. David did good job with wall to walls at home and very helpful in placing area rugs that were cleaned off site. more

Above and beyond service 6/6/2013

Pettyjohn's Rug Care is great. I had bought rugs years ago in Europe and I was nervous to have someone clean them, but I brought them to Pettyjohn's because I had heard good things about them. I gave them 3 rugs, two of which were cleaned perfectly and one of which was damaged in the cleaning process. The fringe had been damaged and part of the rug unraveled but Pettyjohn's insisted on fixing it. They fixed the fringe and it looks just great, phenomenal. It took about a month but they were willing to do anything to get it right. I met some nice people there too! more

Fantastic service -- hands down best I have ever used 5/18/2013

New to the Raleigh-Durham area, a year ago I searched for a good shop to clean our oriental rugs. I tried a sample at a couple of places -- and wasn't really thrilled. I then expanded my research and found PettyJohn's. I called and talked to Robert to get a sense of his knowledge and experience and the process they used. Satisfied, we took a couple of rugs to him for cleaning -- original orientals that hadn't been cleaned in 25-30 years. They came back PERFECT. Since that experience 1 1/5 years ago we have had all of our rugs cleaned there, as well as buying some new pads. Totally satisfied with their service. Highly recommended. more

Simply the Best 5/4/2013

I have researched professional rug washers in the area and consistently hear there is only one company to use in the Raleigh/Durham area. I had the honor of visiting Robert and Karens facility this week and now I am in complete agreement, they are the place to go for honest service with the highest of values. We are really pleased with the result for all 3 rugs. One American made wool Oriental style,one Persian about 25 years old and one very old Oriental of unknown exact origin. They are clean,soft,and the colors are wonderful once again. I feel I am living with really clean rugs underfoot. more

stain guard a rug 3/16/2013

I purchased a rug from Green Front in Raleigh. The gentleman there suggest I have it stain guard for protection. It's a runner and lives in the kitchen so we definately thought it was a good idea. Dropped it off, picked it up...everything is good. more

Uncompromising Attention To Getting it Right 3/8/2013

I am a regular and most satisfied customer of Pettyjohns and last week I sent them what could only be described as an impossible job. I have two 20 year old (but much loved) upholstered chairs covered in a high quaity WHITE fabric. The chairs are in a not often used room in the upstairs of my house so when my cats decided they made a better litter box than the one downstairs I didn't know until it appeared the chairs were destroyed beyond repair -- even for the miracle workers at Pettyjohn's. Instead they came to my house, took them back to their plant and proceeded to wash, treat and let them dry over and over again until every trace of the horrible odor and stains were gone! I truly appreciate them for not giving up. Other cleaning companies do not have such state of the art equiptment, cleaning techniques, this kind of dedication to excellent results, and such an intense desire for customer satisfaction. I love Pettyjohns! more

THE Best Carpet Cleaning Around 3/6/2013

First let me start off with, I very rarely (meaning never) write reviews. But I need to commend Pettyjohn's for there rare quality of customer service and service. I've used them before and was blown away last time, and this time was no different. I called wanting last minute carpet cleaning and they were able to schedule me right in around a schedule that worked for me! The technician, Thomas, arrived on time, and after discussing everything I wanted, he double checked everything making sure I was getting the best price. He explained what it would look like when he was done and walked through the house letting me show him the areas I wanted him to spot treat. He was a pleasure to have working in my home. He was courteous, polite, prompt and did a wonderful job. If you want your carpets to get the cleanest they possibly can be, then this is the company to call!! We will use them again in the future! Pettyjohn's save me!! 2/24/2013

I spilled red wax allll over a brand new wall-to-wall rug. They fit me into their schedule and sent two wonderful technicians who worked magic to remove all evidence of the spill. I can't thank them enough for their professional approach to business. Very refreshing!! more

I am very pleased with Pettyjohn's. They are very professional and great to work with. The individual who cleaned the carpets took the time to listen to my concerns about problem stains and to thoroughly explain the process. He also explained what to do as far as drying time and repositioning furniture. I will definitely use them again. more

Great carpet & upholstery cleaning, thorough, efficient & well priced 2/1/2013

Our whole experience with Pettyjohns was great, from the initial visit to quote for the work, accommodating our needs, punctuality & efficiency. Our upholstery, rugs & carpets all looked great afterwards, tough stains were dealt with, the technician really knew what he was doing & best of all, offered to come back to touch up anything that came back through. Everyone was courteous, overall a great service. more
