Hi I go to this place because it is my local pet store. They are a somewhat reliable pet store. I purched 2 hamsters there and one bunny. the hamsters are still alive, but the bun...

Editorial review from Citysearch 8/15/2013

We have been going to pets plus for over 8 years. My In-laws bought their dog their 15 years ago. we have fish, 2 cats and a bunny that we have purchased in the last 8years. Yesterday we were in the area and decided to stop in and let my son look at the animals. We came a crossed the baby Iguanna's. I have always wanted one. I don't know to much about them but If it wasn't for Shaun we wouldn't of took her home. I wanted to thank Shaun for taking the time and giving us tips on how to feed and take care of her. She is very happy and we are so happy we decided to take her. Thanks Shaun!!!!!! I have to say we will not shop at any other pet store! Every animal has been healthy and perfect! Best Pet Store around. We will travel the 1/2hr before we buy anywhere else! thanks again more

Excellent reptile selection. By far the largest in the area. They have many hard to find lizards, and sell them for a fraction of the cost of the Rochester stores. more

I can't say anything bad about Pet's 6/5/2012

I can't say anything bad about Pet's Plus. It is where I bought my baby, Neill, who was the first pug I ever owned. I stop in there often to admire the puppies and kittens they have for sale. I definitely see a Bengal kitten in my future. Aside from the pug, I have also bought fish, lizards, snakes, guinea pigs, hamsters, bunnies, and a Siamese cat. I have always been happy with my purchase. I have bought the best pets from Pet Plus! Some of the items can be purchased cheaper elsewhere, such as piddle pads, but they have a unique variety of animal greeting cards and cookies as well as medical supplies such as ear cleaning solutions. What separates Pets Plus from other pet stores is their service. When you buy a pet, you want it to be from someone you trust. And I absolutely trust Pet Plus. more

I cant say enough about Pets Plus! The 5/30/2012

I cant say enough about Pets Plus! The have dogs and cats and birds and ginnie pigs and hamsters and some long animal and fish and bunnies and cats! I dont want to have to drive all the way to the Buffalo zoo and pay for it, so I take my kid's here instead of going to the zoo. more

Unhappy to say the least 5/1/2012

This place is terrible. Their animals die after a few days or maybe if you are lucky a week. Their animals are diseased and it's not worth the disappointment to a child to go there to buy an animal to just have it die a week later. My child bought a guinea pig here and she dies within 5 days, of course we burried her because that's what my 6 year old wanted to do. I asked the owner if it was necessary to bring in the dead animal or just the receipt and was told it wasn't necessary to bring in the dead animal. Upon arrival the girl behind the counter did nothing but roll her eyes at me and my 6 year old. Terrible, terrible, terrible place! Do NOT go here. Upon leaving this place my daugher said, ""Mom, lets go somewhere else. I do not want to dig up my guinea pig, that isn't right."" It's worth the drive to go somewhere else! more

Happy customer 2/26/2012

I've shopped at pets plus multiple times, all animals i have purchased being a Chinese water dragon and a white lined gecko are still alive and healthy. The place may have some dead animals, but find me a pet store that their animals don't die! All you need to do is bring it up with an employee, and they will take care of it a.s.a.p.about the smell, obviously the place is going to have a stench, there are thousands of animals get over it! Overall the store is a reliable place to buy animals. more

Sad But True 9/28/2011

My boyfriend and I went in once. There was a wild house mouse on one of the shelves (not in any cage). I imagine it happens in many pet stores with all of the food and whatnot, no big deal. Figured it had gotten in to some poison. He was lethargic and obviously ill. I told the woman at the counter. I followed her as she walked back, grabbed the brown mouse by the tail, and plopped it into the tank of white feeder mice. Why on earth would she do that? He was obviously sick if you could hand catch him like that. And to drop him into a tank of other mice where he could infect them? I have snakes, and thankfully I only feed frozen, but I found it disturbing to watch her blatantly poison all of the other mice, for what? An extra two dollars? Ridiculous. Oh, and I don't care what designer breed you have. It's a mutt. Unless it has an actual pedigree, it's a mutt. You breed to keep the health, quality and temperment of an animal in prime condition. If you throw two dogs together because their puppies are cute or you *might* avoid health problems, it's a mutt with a 50/50 chance at a healthy life. Ugh, really people? more
