Very Good sushi 7/4/2011

I've been eating here for years. I know what good sushi is and I'm not saying peters is perfect. I don't get sushi anywhere else in Nashville. I've tried them all. It's the most consistent sushi experience in town. Now and then I try one of the others but it never stands up to peters. Seattle Washington serves the best sushi I've ever experienced. more

Decent sushi 1/10/2011

This is place always busy, so you'd think this place serves great sushi. It does not. Its sushi is decent, but quality varies from day to day. I think the insane popularity of this place demonstrates that many folks here can't tell the difference between excellent and merely OK sushi. more

Sour servers, pretty good food 1/9/2011

New Owners-Big Changes 10/15/2010

I sent a review earlier and have continued to go with my husband to Peter's. We were out of town on vacation but coming back, we wonder if the original owners have sold. The atmosphere has changed along with the food. Our sushi rolls were below average and then we noticed the two key sushi chefs are gone along with some of the staff. Only the skinny man is left and he seems to be focused on flirting and not making sushi. Our Thai food was not the same so also wonder if they took their cook and chefs to a new location? The restaurant itself seems cold and loud. I guess that is because the new owner installed a loud tile floor. I read the other reviews and agree it is gettting more like a McDonalds (fast food) instead of a good family restaurant. Given all this we are looking for another place that is like what Peter's was like before they sold and changed everything. Any ideas would be appreciated. We won't be going back. more

Great Food but Concern 9/20/2010

Have been a fan weekly and used to go to their old restauant prior to new one.Food outstanding as well as friendly service by the most the regular staffing. I have had couple of issues with a new girl that does not speak English so have had the wrong order. She is not friendly and not like the rest of the staff. Also, there is an older staff member who always wears a cap. Have concern when she serves me as seems her eye has been infected for the past 60 days. Also she has VERY STRONG DIRTY BODY SMELL. I really do not want these two staff members waiting on me as unpleasant. I kind of stopped coming sometimes due to these individuals. But I miss the food and if the other wait staff takes care of me, all is perfect. I hope that ownership can correct these two individuals and make the dinning a pleasure once again. All the other wait staff smile, are friendly and are a pleasure to have you serve them. Keep up the good food experience.! more

Wow. I'm very impressed with Peters. I have gone about 10 times, each time ... WOW! Simply stated. The only bad thing is their hours. Very weird hours. I have found myself circling the parking lot, sad and confused on where to go since Peters was closed. more

I've been quite a regular customer at Peter's SushiThai. We usually get food to go because we have small kids. Last Saturday I went in to get my order, there is a new waitress that I never see before. I said Hi to her try to let her know that I waiting on my to-go order. She is just completely ignore and walk away. I've never seen anybody in the service industry that treat their customer that way. Luckily not long after that another girl walk passed by and take care of me. Pros: good food Cons: new waitress more

heard good things about it 1/21/2010

Well, this was the worst sushi lunch that I ever had. Talking about destroying my favorite food. Tuna tataki- cold and soggy, rice wet and to acidy, sauces bland, fat content high, crab nonexistent, spicy tuna aweful and so on. My wife and I could not believe it. We have heard all the best about the restaurant and decided to try it. I guess if Hardy's starts making sushi you are going to have a tough competition in Brentwood. Sadly i think those who have given bad ratings is because they think sushi is fast food. Its an art and Peter's is the best place to go. I have been going there since I was a child and now my 2 year old eats anything peter makes for her. Pros: Sushi more

I am a big fan of peter.. he always make my sushi..but now when i come there, these new trainee make my sushi look like crab.. they dont know what they doin. i hope peter find somes more better sushi chef or train thems 10 more years. Cons: There is no more peter more

Lousy Customer Service 7/23/2009

I've been a customer (and huge fan) of Peter's since they first opened, but I will not go back anytime soon. Customer service has never been a strength, and it continues to go down hill. The employees aren't rude, they just act as if you are invisible. You will not be greeted upon entering. Placing a take out order in person is almost impossible (I finally phoned mine in even though I was physically in the restaurant). This restaurant has gotten fat and happy, and makes no pretense of valuing customers. When the shine is off, and a different restaurant is the Brentwood darling, I may consider returning, but not until then. Pros: Decent sushi Cons: Overcrowded more

Best Sushi in the WORLD! 5/18/2009

We came across this place rather out of the blue one day before the renovations and full instantly in love. Their sushi is so tasty and fresh that it's no wonder it is a fav. amongst all the celebs in this town. We always come across someone since we go once a week for lunch. Last week was Sheryl Crow and the week before was Brad Paisley. Great food for the price! You HAVE to check this place out if you like sushi. Pros: Sushi Cons: Wait time. more

Service lacking with new expansion 4/25/2009

Service has gone downhill, tables are sticky, windows are dirty, floor is dirty and friendliness has disappeared! Peter, what has happened to you? I used to love coming there.....now, I don't have time to wait an hour before someone even says hello! Sushi tastes old sometimes, too. I am disappointed! We go to Peters atleast once a week. Bathroom smelled fine to me, I mean, you know, it smelled like a bathroom. Our food was fabulous as always and for as busy as they were, our service was great. Peters is honestly our favorite place to eat sushi. If you haven't tried it yet, I think you should! Pros: great sushi!! Cons: not a very big establishment, tends to be a wait. more

Rude Service and Dirty Restroom (smells bad) 12/29/2008

In past enjoyed the good food and folks at Peters. Over the holidays, I took my two adult daughters to Peters for dinner. We were served by an older Thailand woman who was very rude. She did not bring our order until it was cold, and we had to ask her several times to get refills on our drinks. She made a face at us when we told her that the food was all cold, and her comments back to us were on the mean side. My daughters went to the restroom and report that it smells bad and needed a deep cleaning. Made us wonder if something has changed at Peters. In the past we always had good friendly service, but this time it was really rude. Couple that to the bathroom situation, we will be looking for another place.
