Terrible Tuna 5/29/2008

Unfortunately for Nashville, there are only 1 or 2 decent sushi venues. And this is definitely not one of them. I have traveled all over and have experienced some of the best sushi available and so maybe my expectations for sushi are a tad more sophisticated than the average customer, but Peter's sushi is NOT good. Their tuna is terrible. And the other rolls are lacking any sort of creativity or personality. One look at any of the fish, and you can see that it is not fresh-hence the greyish film. I will not be revisiting this restaurant and I cannot believe it is still in business. I guess that's due to the lack of options in Brentwood. Lucky for them.... Best sushi in town! 5/27/2008

Someone introduced us to Peters about 4 months ago and we have loved it ever since then. The staff is wonderful and the food is always fresh. I would recommend this place hands down. We love the Volcano, Spicy Tuna, and Crunchy Shrimp Rolls. Pros: Food, Service Cons: Sometime there is a wait more

The sushi here is great! It is always prepared and tastes so fresh. I got the dragon roll and the crunchy shrimp roll and my husband got the tuna roll and nigiri. I have also had the egg rolls, crab wontons, and the teryaki chicken before. All of it was tasty. The service is always friendly and alert. It's a great local sushi bar with a lot more to offer than just sushi. They are moving next door to a bigger space and it looks like it will be finished soon. But we went on a Friday night and only had to wait about 15 mnutes. more

Excellent Sushi 5/23/2008

Peter's Sushi is above all consistent. The Sushi is great, always fresh and perfectly rolled. The atmoshere is energetic due to the crowded space and during peak lunch and dinner hours be prepared for a wait. If you are a local, take out orders are the way to go. this is one of my favorite sushi spots in the franklin/nashville area. the sushi rolls and nigiri sushi are always fresh and great. there is a good variety as well. the miso is rich and is a must-have. sometimes you have to wait awhile to be seated and to get your food but it is well worth the wait! Perfect Sushi 2/22/2008

This place has become a weekly tradition for my family. We love the owners and all of the staff. They will go out of their way to make you happy. The sushi is the freshest and best in the Nashville area. If you don't like sushi, they have wonderful cooked Asian cuisine. The Thai dishes are the best. The chefs are so amazing that I just tell them to cook me whatever they want! You will not regret eating here, just be careful, it is like an addiction! Pros: Best staff and food ever! Best Sushi in the Nashville area 1/31/2008

Peter's, or as we say Pete's, is by far the best sushi in the area. The only thing lacking is the atmosphere but that can easily be overlooked upon your first taste of unagi shrimp roll. Oh, and the ginger dressing, the best anywhere in the world! Pros: Sushi, that's what you are there for. Cons: Can't think of any except the ambience, but no one cares about that at Pete's more

Great Sushi! 8/30/2007

I was anxious to eat at Peter's Sushi-Thai because of all the good reviews I had read....and it's true their sushi is really good. They have a great selection of sushi rolls and great prices. However, the place is small and the ambience is rather lacking, but who cares if the food is great. They also had a rather large Thai menu for those who don't like sushi and a huge parking lot since they are located in a shopping area. If you like sushi I would definitly recommend this place. I will definitly be back. Pros: Variety of sushi, parking, and prices. Cons: Ambience and size. more

since visiting Japan i have become quite a sushi snob. peter is by far the best sushi chef in nashville and some of the best sushi that i have had in the US. the staff is very friendly and always remembers us. they are always more than happy to make any special requests that we have. i drive across town for this sushi. and it's also fun to see keith urban and nicole kidman on occasion. the only con is that they are closed on sundays. Unique sushi and great service 11/3/2006

After reading in US magazine that Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman dined at this strip mall establishment I thought my buddy and I would try it out. I was pleasantly surprised by the sushi and menu that provided variety. Maybe a better sake menu is in order, but that is the only fault I could find. Great service and we will definitely be back! We went to Pete's for the first time this weekend on the recommendation of someone who goes every week. It was fantastic!! It's great for a sushi lover and those who aren't. Peter, Bam, Tanya, et.al. do a fine job serving the best sushi in Nashville. Sit at the sushi bar or at a table, either way the meal will be wonderful. If you are ordering sushi, a salad and soup come with the meal. The sushi is fresh and the presentation is gorgeous. The prices are very reasonable for sushi, as well. Consistently the Best Sushi in Nashville!! 6/7/2006

This is by far the best Sushi I have had in Nashville. It is consistently top-notch in presentation, freshness, and taste. I always sit at the bar just to watch Peter (and the other chefs). The tuna & salmon nigiri is oh-so-wonderful, and my favorite roll is the tuna-avocado-cucumber. The Florida roll is wonderful too!! Please, please give this place a try! If you are looking for good sushi at a reasonable price, Pete's is the place you want to go. After trying many different places Peter's is by far my favorite. The restraunt is tight so don't go there looking for a nice quiet secluded evening meal. The service is terrific and the sushi is even better. more

Our favorite! 11/10/2005

Peter's is great. The sushi is excellent and always the freshest I've had. When we decide to eat sushi, nothing else will do since we've discovered Peter's. Even the ginger dressing on the salad is better than other places we've been. Kid's like the ""not sushi"" food that's available too. The atmosphere is very down-home, similar to Miyako. Everyone is friendly, there is no loud music, and the space is small and tastefully decorated. It's a bit bright, and the space is tight, so don't expect romantic moments. My personal favorites are the deep fried sushi that Peter prepares. Pros: Great food, friendly/local, not crowded (yet) more

Great sushi without the hype! 5/15/2005

If you are looking for good food without the noise and techno music, Peter's is the place! It is hands down the best place for sushi in Metro Nashville. I guarantee it! Great fish, great service! And with the Thai menu, there's plenty for even the non-sushi eaters. more
