I don't recommend buying fish at the Gresham location. Three of the four I purchased died. When I brought back the body of the third the old broad who helped me was rude. Because I didn't bring a water sample of my tank. Implying I might be to blame, When I have eight other fish of the same type not from Petco that are doing fine...\r \r The topper of my experience at this store was when she fail to give me correct change. WATCH THEIR SCALES!! 1/12/2010

Weighed out just shy of 1/4 pound of rawhide treats, as they were $2.49 per quarter pound. Didn't pay attention when checking out. Got home, gave the dog two of the treats. THEN decided to look at the receipt. What weighed at 1/4 pound where I chose the treats turned out to be .44 pounds when checking out. I paid almost twice what I had intended. Just answer me this: why do mistakes, malfunctions, and technical difficulties NEVER error on the side of the customer? Just wondering. Pros: Store is easy to navigate Cons: Inaccurate scales more

I DO NOT recommend buying any living creatures here! 1/8/2010

EVERY animal I have bought from Petco turns out to be sick! First we bought fish...they were ill and spread disease to the rest of the tank. Recently my daughter bought 2 juvenile leopard geckos whom also both turned out to be sick. That is not the worst part....the staff at the store seemed totally non-caring and un-knowledgeable about the Leopard Geckos both when I purchased them, and when I had to bring them back! I had done research on Leopard Geckos and noticed that Petco's tank was totally dirty....old dead food (millworms) piled up in the bowl with a few living crickets jumping around! Unlike another big petstore I know (and usually go to) Petco gave no effort to try to "healthen" these little guys up before they sold them! It was heart-wrenching trying to get these little guys to thrive within the 15 days alotted to see if they would survive! My daughter was in tears. Will I EVER buy a living creature from Petco again? I do NOT recommend the groomer! 7/13/2005

The store itself is fine, but I DO NOT RECOMMEND the grooming. My husband took our little 8lb miniture pincher to have his nails clipped. The groomer made my husband hold our dog and when he was finished my husbands arms looked like Freddy Kruger had attacked him. I am wondering why they did not offer my husband the gloves that they wear at least. I was disgusted by there terrible service, not to mention she missed 2 nails out of 8 and did not cut them nearly short enough! Save yourself the headache and go to the vet for nail clipping our do it yourself! more
