I had taken my daughter there and purchased 2 hampsters. They died within a couple days. Since then I only purchase pet supplies for her other pets because it is close to where I work. I would not recommend this establishment for live pets. more

Not the best pet store around but not too bad either. This branch is a bit small with a half decent selection. I have to admit that I am disappointed with how much the section for cats (especially toys) has dwindled. The place is always a bit on the disorganized side as well. Their prices are on the high side and their sales are so-so. They also have low cost vaccinations on certain days but I haven't used them as I am not to sure how much I trust it. I have heard many bad stories about their poor treatment of animals and the sick pets they sell. Not a good way to do business. more

Terrible! 8/16/2005

I don't love Petco in general, but of all the Petcos I have been to this is by far the worst location. I work with animals professionally and am well aware of the challenges created by live animals, but that in no way excuses the poor care of animals in stock and the high number of sick animals they sell to customers. While they never question a vet visit (vets are very familiar with Petco and their sick animals) and they always pay the bills, there is still something terribly wrong when so many animals need veterinary intervention so soon after being sold. In addition I have seen more than one manager be incredibly rude, and have heard staff give astoundingly incorrect information about both animal care and product use. With such a consistant lack of quality at most locations, and particularly at this location, one has to assume that the problem stems from a corporate culture what I no longer support even if it means an inconvenient trip to another store. Worst Customer Service Around 6/22/2005

Petcos in general don't do it for me, but this place is the worst. They must pay their employees really poorly or something because these people hate their job. Your lucky if you can get help with anything here. I'd pass it by and go to an indie joint. more
