I don't love Petco in general, but of all the Petcos I have been to this is by far the worst location.
I work with animals professionally and am well aware of the challenges created by live animals, but that in no way excuses the poor care of animals in stock and the high number of sick animals they sell to customers. While they never question a vet visit (vets are very familiar with Petco and their sick animals) and they always pay the bills, there is still something terribly wrong when so many animals need veterinary intervention so soon after being sold.
In addition I have seen more than one manager be incredibly rude, and have heard staff give astoundingly incorrect information about both animal care and product use.
With such a consistant lack of quality at most locations, and particularly at this location, one has to assume that the problem stems from a corporate culture what I no longer support even if it means an inconvenient trip to another store.
