Best

i love bringing Joon here---she is so loved and I know she is cared for!!!! Makes me not "feel bad" to leave her!!! Thanks to all the staff for taking such good care of my little ...

Worst

We used this facility for about 4-5 years, spent plenty to board, at one time, four pets. In 2010 we left our older pet there with specific instructions to NOT take her beds to be...

No place like home 10/11/2009

I have taken my yorkie there for 4 years and enjoy the care the staff provides for him. I would not trust him anywhere else because they treat him like family. I am able to call and check on my dog daily and the staff is always very nice...and understands how precious my dog is to me. Thank you for the wonderful staff. I love Pet Lodge. Pros: Wonderful Staff, flexible hours, Clean facilities more

Maybe there is someplace like home 10/7/2009

I have worked with dozens of dogs and horses over the years raising and training them. Pet Lodge is the only place I have ever found where I can take my dogs and know they are taken care of as well as I would do myself. When I first toured the facility, I expected most of it to be good with a couple of exceptions. Every other facility I had ever toured was that way. Not with Pet Lodge. I went through the whole place and was very impressed all along the way. The people there are very knowledgeable and helpful too which makes it a pleasure to take my animals there. To top it all off, if you need training, Jeff there is the best trainer I have ever worked with. His understanding of animal behaviour is second to none. What he was able to accomplish with Lexi, a dog of mine who had spent 6 months running with a pack of dogs in the wild before we got her, was nothing short of amazing. I couldn't be more pleased with my decision to both train and board my animals there. Pros: Clean roomy areas, friendly, knowledgeable, & capable staff more

Best place we've ever used 10/1/2009

We had boarded our dog at a few different places and hadn't been too happy with the results until we found Pet Lodge. Yes, it's more expensive than crating the dog up at the vet's office, but he gets a large run, daily walks or swimming time (disclaimer--these are optional and an extra charge), and a bath before we pick him up. The staff have always been cheerful, helpful, and very willing to work out any confusion or issues. Our dog LOVES to go there and trots right off when a staff member comes to take him to his room. I recommend PL to everyone I know with a dog. Pros: Great care for my pets, helpful staff, CLEAN environment Cons: A little pricey and very busy on holidays--but WORTH IT more

Best by Far 9/18/2009

We love pet lodge pet resort! The staff is always so friendly and helpful and you can tell that they truely love what they do! My dogs always have a great time, and it's great because we never have to feel guilty about going on vacation and leaving them! It's like a vacation for them as well when they get to stay and swim in the dog bone shaped swimming pool! very cool place! Pros: Very friendly animal loving staff! Cons: book early or they will be filled up! more

Never would go elsewhere 9/17/2009

We have been coming to Pet Lodge for 11 years and have always been very happy with them. :) You just have to make sure to book early for holidays because they do book up. Pros: Best dog kennel around more

Pet Lodge Pet Resort is ok 9/3/2009

This place is ok. We took our unrulely dog to group training. They taught the normal commands. The showed you how to do them. Let you practice a little. However, our dog was so out of control and when we went up to him after class he just answered short. He didn't really seem interested in helping us at all. So for the money not sure it is worth it. more

Do Not Take Your Animals Here! 5/6/2009

This place is such a scam! They look amazing and talk a good game, but when it comes down to it, your animal gets terrible treatment at this facility. Our cat died while under their care and they didn't bother calling until she was too far gone to save. Save your animals and take them somewhere else. more

Nice place 12/9/2008

We brought our dog and our cat over Thanksgiving and they were really busy! It seemed as though we got in and out pretty fast. When we came back to get our pets, they were extremely happy to see us. We got them home and they slept and weren't mad at us at all. We are bringing them back for Christmas and hope to get the same service. Pros: friendly staff and clean place more

Tricky, are we? 10/20/2008

Obviously the ''5 star'' ratings are made by the owners themselves. If you read reviews from other sites, they have different usernames, but almost exactly same reviews. Some slight details changed, but the phrasing is exactly the same. You can tell by the wording these posts are phonies. Nice try, guys. more

I drive 1 1/2 hours to take my dogs to Pet Lodge! Need I say more? 7/7/2008

My husband and I first heard about the resort in 2000 when we had to leave our sweet Lab, Haley for Christmas travel. We researched many facilities in the Atlanta area and this one came highly recommended. Actually it was rated as one of the top 10 in America. We were thrilled from day 1 and have since boarded our dogs there. They have swim and play times, they are groomed and bathed upon pick up and they are fed their own food and given any required Medications. I can count on the Pet Lodge to accommodate our pets. On one particular occasion in 2004, our Christmas reservation got mixed up and we found ourselves without one. We had already booked our flights and they were non-refundable. After speaking with Ken, the owner, he promised that if he couldn't find room for them, he would personally take them home with him. I knew they would be safe. Our dogs love the resort do much you can't even say "Pet Resort" without them going wild. They love it and when they return home to us, they are exhausted from all their playtime. I couldn't ask for a better place and I look forward to their next visit in a week. Yes, it costs more than boarding, but that is because it is more than boarding. They have activities and interaction. And they have security, plus the manager lives on site. I feel blessed and I know my girls are safe there. more

Best Pet Boarding around! 6/27/2008

I have been using Pet Lodge for years and love it. Everytime I board I receive exceptional service and the office girls are so sweet. They know my dog and love my dog. My dog loves to swim in the pool and loves the group plays. I wouldn't dream of going anywhere else. Pros: Great service! more

Tremendously disapointed. Do not take your dog here. 6/11/2008

I took my dog here while I was away for two weeks, as the facility looked nice and there was a vacation training program. Money was not object, I just wanted the best for my dog. However when I received him back he was hopelessly matted. His beautiful fur was a wreck. I was forced to cut his hair as they were too dense to remove with a comb. Pet Lodge claims they give your dog personal care. Do not be deceived. Then, when called and confronted about this, they denied it had happened, and said "They did not notice". Do not go here. more

Good first impression, tremendous let down. 6/11/2008

Very Disapointing 4/25/2008

My husband and I have been loyal to the establishment for the past 2 years or so. We have two dogs, and we recently toured your facility to make sure our dogs (our babies) will be comfortable during our two weeks away in Europe. I have to say that I wasn't the least bit happy with the conditions. The indoor run is very smelly and there were a lot of dogs crammed into one side of the area instead of having them spread out among the open available indoor area. The indoor-outdoor run smelled even worse, and one dog had threw up in the run, and no one had cleaned it up. I had dried up in the run, and made for an awful smell. Not to mention there were several carpenter bees that made homes in the same structure that the dogs would be in. I was very disappointed by this for many reasons. The first being how unclean and smelly everything was. The second was how expensive it was for two weeks, and there was no "special packages" available that included nature walks and group plays for a two week stay. I understand that there are the Platinum packages, and the monthly rate, but there wasn't anything if you wanted to stay for two weeks with only about 6 activities during the stay. I know that this is a business to make money, but the price along with the unclean establishment, doesn't make for a good deal at all. I wanted to pass along to everyone as a warning. Hopefully this will improve in the future and result in Pros: Offers activities Cons: Not clean, and over priced more

Best Place to leave your dog! 7/16/2005

We had problems with kennels until we came here. They are a beautiful facility that cares about the well being of its guests. They take them on nature walks and play dates. They even have a pool shaped like a bone.! You can get lots of extra stufflike treats and personal play daily. The even have large doggie suites available. They always make us feel like our dog is well cared for and loved! PROS: take great care of pets. clean CONS: a little pricey but worth it more

Grateful pet owners! 9/5/2002

After visiting several "pet hotels" around town, my husband and I decided to leave our 3-yr-old Shar Pei at Pet Lodge over a four day period for his FIRST kennel experience. I called three times in fours days and each time was pleased to hear the voice on the other end re-assure me that my dog was doing just fine. I'm almost ashamed to admit it, but our dog looked better when we picked him up then when we dropped him off! Shar Peis are very high-maintenance and not always welcomed by Vets and kennel staff, but the people at the lodge seemed to enjoy having our pet there as much as he seemed to enjoy being there! THANKS PET LODGE!! Pros: Great service, Clean facility, Flexible hrs. more
