Great Class 9/12/2011

I have to say Ive been around dog's all my life ,and I have learned more in a few classes with Jeff than I ever dreamed I could! I took my little teacup Yorkie Ziggy to level one puppy training at Pet Lodge. The first class we learned all about trust and respect ,which is the most important aspect in any relationship. Jeff is easy to understand and has the answers for almost any question. Def would recommend going to one of his classes and checking it out for yourself! Your relationship with your dog will never be the same and you will have a happier life because of it!! Ziggy completed level one training with Straight A's......Now he is off to level 2 puppy training :) more

I needed a lot of help with training my puppy so I called Pet Lodge and their prices were way cheaper than this other place I called. They did a really great job of helping me. My dog actually behaves and listens to me now. Thank you! more

Sophia loves it here at the Pet Lodge. She has a bunch of friends as well. She is more excited then myself at times. The staff are all very helpful and polite taking great care of all the animals here. I love the Pet lodge you guys rock ! more

Friendly faces 8/2/2011

The Pet Lodge staff are the most caring and thoughtful custodians for pets. I am a client for over 10 years and each time we visit my pet is welcomed by friendly faces, playful attitudes, and plenty of petting! Thank you for the care and love you provide my pets when we are apart. There is no other resort I trust more to care for them than Pet Lodge, Ken, and the entire staff of talented caretakers. Better than Ruffhouse 7/17/2011

Pet Lodge has wonderful staff and a clean facility. When I left my dog I did not have any worries because I knew he would be well tended too. When I went to pick him up, I could tell he had had a blast. His tail was waging and he just looked happy. I agree with another reviewer who said her dog was treated like a queen. My pup was treated like the king he is. Unlike a previous experience at a "kennel" more like dog hell called Ruffhouse. My baby boy came home a wreck. I do not know what went on during his stay, but he will never go there and continue to stay at pet lodge. I would not trust my dog to anyone else! Say no to ruffhouse and others and yes to pet lodge!!! more

"HOME AWAY FROM HOME" 10/10/2010

"Run don't walk" to Pet Lodge! It's the ONLY place to take your pet. My son and I left our five pound poodle at Pet Lodge while we were on vacation. We had a great time knowing that Ginger (our poodle) was in good hands. We have used Pet Lodge for years and would not leave the smallest member of our family anywhere else. She always has a great time! She loves everyone there and is treated like she's the little queen that she is. I cannot say enough good things about Pet Lodge. The place is ALWAYS clean and friendly! They really do put their guest first! more

Will definitely use again! 6/26/2010

We have an older golden retriever who needs special care. So it was important to us for her to be in a separate suite with our other dog. They loved it! The suite was clean and quiet. The staff were friendly and helpful and when we picked up our dogs after a 1 week stay, they looked happy and well cared for. \r Pet Lodge had been referred to us through friends and we'll definitely use them again. We feel comfortable knowing our dogs were well taken care of. more

My dog lost 27 pounds before they even noticed! 5/14/2010

My 2 German Shepherds were boarded here long-term while I tried to re-home them. On 4/12, after 2 months in their care, I was called and told that my male had started vomiting that morning and appeared to have lost weight. They were 'offering him yummy foods' but her was still vomiting. They said he had no diarrhea, was definitely not bloated and had just became sick that morning. I am a registered vet tech with 25 years experience, so I told them they should NOT be feeding a vomiting dog, and to withhold food for the rest of the day. If he was still sick in the morning they were to call me at work and I would come immediately to get him and take him to my vet. The following morning, I had not heard from them by 10:30 am, so I called and was told 'he couldn't stand up this morning so we took him to our vet' after they apparently called and left a message on my cell ophone, not the work number I had specifically told them to use. My dogs truly enjoy their experiences with this place. Love the property and all the time outside that my dogs get, unlike a lot of places that just offer concrete pens or tiny metal cages. Have recommened this place for years and will continue to do so! more

My birds go to Pet Lodge. 1/28/2010

I leave my 2 african greys at Pet Lodge Pet Resort and it's the best place to take care of my birds. There is a guy in the bird room who really knows his stuff and how to take care of birds. There is a certain amount of care that my birds need and they receive it at Pet Lodge. I have even called when I was in a bind and they got me right in to board with 2 of their bird cages. They truly were lifesavers in my situation and in my time of need. Wouldn't go anywhere else. :) more

Friendly and caring place 1/21/2010

I would recomend this facilty to anyone. Pet Lodge seems to offer more than any other place in the area. We choose this place for our babies because of the property size and the loving care each of our dogs recieve. Our labs love swimtime and seem to love their long nature walks, they are always worn out when we pick them up. All in all a great place. more

  • Pet Lodge Pet Resort has been lovingly caring for pets since 1979.  I'm the owner, Ken Miller, and I've been training dogs for 50 years.  My manager, Jeff Hoehn has been with me for 27 years and is our training director as well.  We feature obedience training, pampereddog boarding in a pet resort atmosphere, cat boarding in comfortable Kitty Condos, professional dog grooming, caring for small aged animals and birds, and a popular daycare program, and have a nice variety of activities that our guests always enjoy if requested, including swim times in our shallow but large bone-shaped, crystal clear swimming pool, nature walks among our 13 state park-like acreage, and both group and private play times.  We also offer the option of all day swims and/or play times.
