Pet Boutique

I went to this business for about 30 years to have my dogs groomed. The majority of the time all was done right and the prices were very reasonable compared to other places. What I wrote in a review 6 years ago was an honest review of what I experienced in the last year or so of going there. If I am a "coward" for writing an honest review than I guess the millions of people who write reviews for every business they comment on are also "cowards" which is ridiculous to say the least. I didn't mention that the owner of the business and the only groomer there at the time and every time I went there for three decades, was very rough with my little ten pound dog and hurt her leg and her shoulder by grabbing her and yanking her front leg to make her stand still. After canceling several appointments at the last minute with me and having her boyfriend call the last few times to do so, she called me herself and said she didn't want to groom my dog anymore. At that point, NO great loss. It had become stressful for me to wonder if she was going to keep the appointment or cancel an hour before I was to leave my house to go there. Anything I would have to say on this subject is an honest review/opinion and everyone is entitled to an opinion. more

I brought my CockerSpaniel puppy to the Pet Boutique. I asked for a puppy cut. Picked my dog up and she was shaved down to a quarter inch of fur.Brought my dog back a second time and said I like the cut...just not so short this time.Picked my dog up and she was shaved down just as short as the first time. Will be bringing my dog somewhere else the next time she needs to be groomed.The 1st time I brought my dog I didn't know what to expect. But this time I told the groomer I did not want her as short as the first time. The groomer said she would not shave her down but when I picked my puppy up she was shaved down again. Just very upset she did not do what she said she would do.and now it is $25 to have your dog shaved down. Not happy. more

Good: the owner she has made my pet look great.I moved here form out west. Tryed to find someone that could make my pet feel not scared and come out looking great.My dog was wagging her tail and gave her a kiss when leaving.. Never seen that before.. Bad: Her prices should be higher. Improvements: none. Other: she might not have a new high class place but she is great and cares. more

Well, Ms.Jacqueline, I just read your nasty review and am here to tell you that Charlene and her staff have been grooming my dogs for years....I found her by accident and I have moved, in between, to other states and am now in NC and I miss Charlene sorely. I have been forced to find a groomer here, and so far, nobody comes close to being as loving and caring as Charlene...she loves all the dogs, is kind to them, is thorough in her grooming....they come out squeaky clean and meticulously clipped, unlike any other groomer I have ever had! And she is attentive to ANY signs of problems! For example, she told me to keep an eye on Rosie's ears, they looked like they may be getting infected.....she was right! Always right! She undercharges! For what she does, the $18.00 is not enough! I had my dogs groomed here in NC because I had no choice - all four of them - Yorkies and a Bichon - and they came out looking dull and their faces were still stinky...and I paid $40 per dog!!!! I miss Charlene....you fail to see what a beautiful person she is....you fail to see that there is nobody out there who can even hold a candle to her at The Pet Boutique. She is the cream of the crop!!!! You WILL find out yourself when you try to find another groomer! What goes around comes around, Ms Jacqueline......there is always payback in this universe, for someone who deliberately hurts someone else. You are spreading venom! That is your modus operandi because you are a coward..... You must also be a mean person...because you have actively sought out a venue on the internet to post your worthless crap! ..Charlene is better off without a customer like you! I only feel sorry for your dogs! So for you, Ms Jacqueline, to be so nasty, simply because Charlene is trying to manage her health and also honor her customers and also pay her bills, is unconscionable. SHAME ON YOU! more

Pet Boutique USED TO BE a good place to bring your pets to be groomed. As of lately, the owner, Charlene, has had a few health problems, has cancelled many appointments over and over again but has always told her clients that she would reschedule and be able to groom their dogs. That is not the case. She continues to cancel right up to the last minute, calling clients a half hour or so before they are suppose to bring their pets in, her excuse is, she's too tired and maybe the next time she'll be able to do the job....maybe. I suggest that people find a good groomer elsewhere or....take a class or two in grooming and groom your pets yourself. Charlene is cheap but has become unreliable. You cannot run a business and be unreliable. more

When you drive up to the Pet Boutique, you might be taken back by what you see. The house that the groomer is located in looks neglected. But don't let that fool you. The groomers are wonderful, they care about the animals and my dog has never looked better. I prefer it over any other groomer in the area! Getting my dog a bath, grooming and nails clipped cost me all of $18.00. more
