Best

Great food even better than what we get in California! Can be a little expensive but the portions are huge! My husband and I go there at least once a month and the food quality is...

Worst

Do not go to the Persian Room since the food is bad and they are known for cheating customers on the bill. Go to Pars instead since the good Persian Room cooks went there.

Best Place to eat Kabob 6/20/2010

I lived in Scottsdale for 8 years and for 8 years I went to Persian room over and over, always the same quality, best food ever. some say that it's over priced but I will tell you for the quality and the size of the dish it's really not at all. his single dish is good for 2. so sharing is better. Pros: Great food Cons: nothing more

Best persian restaurant in USA 9/30/2008

I visited the Persian Room over the weekend with my wife. I called the restaurant and made a reservation for two of us. We enjoyed the best dinner and took advantage of their persian ice cream, the houmous and eggplant, the kabab barg fillet tender, served with the rice and salad was amazing and delicious. My wife and I enjoyed the persian ice cream very much. Our server was extremely friendly and professional. He did answer all of our questions about the food and to our amazement history of persia!\r I would recommend this restaurant to anyone. Pros: very elegant more

if you've never had persian, come here 9/14/2008

Persian Room is a great place to eat! The atmosphere is nice and can be romantic yet also fun for dancing, going out with friends. My friend who is persian goes all the time and I never went, but i did and it was not disappointing. The food is pretty tasty. Best persian food I've had so far in Scottsdale! But persian food is hard to come by. Great thing aboout persian food is its slightly different from other meditterranean dishes. Has different spices, and to me, more variety. Its actually nothing like greek food either like another person said, so I don't know if that person just has never been to Greece or just thinks that all Middle Eastern countries and cultures are the same--maybe to Americans, but to the rest of the world--they're not. more

Best Persian food at good price with excellent service in a refined establishment 9/5/2008

I visited The Persian Room with my wife and were a little apprehensive since we never had Persian food. The manager greeted us in a professional and friendly manner and escorted us to the table. The building is decorated in a very refined taste. The service was friendly and professional. There were plenty of dishes to choose from and the prices were reasonable. The waiter offered friendly information in explaining the dishes to us. The food arrived in reasonable time. Well, the food was exquisite and there was so much of it that we took the uneaten portions home and had a second meal. In short this was one of the best dinning experiences we had in the ten years we have been in Scottsdale and we recommend it to everyone. We have been back two more times and had a repeat of our excellent dinning experience. Pros: Ambiance, friendly service best food quality more

Not the place to go!!!! 4/6/2008

?Persian Room,? in Scottsdale Arizona; if you like soggy, under cooked chicken, wet filet mignon, topped with below McDonald?s standards in customer service, then the Persian Room is defiantly the place for you. My sister recommended this place to me, commending then on having a great atmosphere, good food, and last but certainly not least, phenomenal prices. It took a grand total of twenty five minutes after being seated for someone (NICK/TIM) to greet us. He proceeded to ask us what we wanted to drink. But by that time, we already knew what we were interested in ordering. We ordered the drinks, appetizers (Humus), and the main course, which was the Persian Room Special. By the time the humus was brought to the table we were out of the pita bread . We tried ordering more bread. The pita bread was brought out only after the disaster of the main course was presented to us. The chicken was undercooked and drenched in water. The filet mignon was cooked properly but was also wet. The only thing the cooks at the Persian Room managed to make right is the Koobideh Kebab. We complained to the waiter. (I don?t recall his name. He took the tray and came back a few minutes later; the chicken was still not prepared properly. When the check came, I was outraged. Included in the $139 total, was Gratuity (Gratuity!!! For $19) Gratuity, Gratuity for what?? For the crappy service or for the horrible food?? I went to whom I assumed was the manager and explained to him everything that we experienced in his restaurant??.. NO APOLOGY, NO NOTHING. He proceeded to take off the GRATUITY and commented that they were under staffed. (THATS REALLY NOT MY PROBLEM) If your thing about visiting this place, (DON?T) . From the looks of this place from the outside you?d think you were royalty walking into a palace, but be careful. YOUR BETTER OFF GOING TO ?MY BIG FAT GREEK RESTAURANT? more

Sadly horrible 9/8/2006

I heard about this restaraunt and thought I'd give it a try. I was extremely disappointed. This restaraunt is as ""Persian"" as Burger King. As I waited for my dish to be served I laughed inside as they brought frozen Indian grocery store bread to my table! Persian ""Naan"" is made fresh in a clay oven and I guess they decided to waste money on decor rather than actually making authentic food. I ordered ""Barg"" which is a Filet Mignon sliced, skewered and grilled. I literally twiddled my thumbs for nearly 15 minutes waiting for it. When it came to my table it was ICE COLD and you could actually SEE the marinade rub on the meat. I try not to be a complainer so I went ahead and ate it. It was disgusting and cold and you could taste the strong uncooked marinade rub. Halfway through I couldn't take anymore so I told my waiter, ""Do you realize this is ice cold?"" and he insisted it was taken right off of the skewer. Riiiight. He kept saying ""I'm sorry"", yet, offered me nothing else other than his apology. You couldn't bring me out a 3 cent bowl of sweet or something? Just some kind of gesture. To add insult to injury I leaned over to take a final sip of my drink and saw there was something reddish in the ice cubes. I was too scared that it was an insect so I didn't even look closely enough because I was afraid the disgusting uncooked meat I force-fed myself combined with a critter in my drink would make me totally hurl. I showed it to the waiter and he laughed and said, ""Man, everything is just going wrong isn't it?"" Smaaart. He just kept saying sorry, so I paid, gave him a more than fair tip, and just left. I will never return. Pros: Decent decor. Might be good for a party if the FOOD CAME FROM SOMEWHERE ELSE. Cons: Awful food. Undercooked. Possible health violations? Inadequate Service. more

Not bad 5/13/2004

...but not great either. I had the lamb kabob, which is pretty hard to screw upits grilled meat and vegetablesbut it wasnt as exciting as Ive had other places. The thing that bugged me the most is their wine list was inadequate. In the group I was with, I was the sole wine drinker, so obviously Im not going to order a whole bottle for myself. They have a very limited number of wines you can order by the glass. One thing they do very well though is baklava. Order this, even if youre not hungry anymore. Theres always room for baklava. Pros: Baklava more
