Pep Boys

Scammers...I went it to buy 4 new tires and the guy behind the counter goes out to look at the tires. Tells me he needs to install new shocks and alignment or he wont warranty the tires. I had the car state inspected just 2 weeks before and the mechanic at the dealership told me everything was fine, except I might need new tires soon. This sales guy at Pep boys told me the shocks were bad. I called the Toyota dealership that inspected my car and stopped by on my way to work to have them look at the shocks. They told me they were OK and seems Pep Boys was just trying to inflate the bill. Bottom line...they are scammers. AVOID! more

I took my car in for an oil change and a battery check. They talked me into getting my tires rotated since it was free. Their logo is an oil change in 29min but it took way longer than that. Perhaps it was for the battery check and tire rotation, I really don't know. I took my car there at 8:30 am, waited for a 1hr and half and left. They called me at 12:30pm to tell me my car was ready. I arrived to find out that they didn't even check my car battery, I asked before I left and they never checked it. So I had to wait for that. It was finally done at 1:30pm. I was so frustrated and disappointed it the wait and service. When I got into my car they didn't even reset my oil service indicator. I didn't even bother to go back in to tell them, it would likely be another hour wait. So I took my car to Jiffy Lube and they reset it in a minute. I will never go back to Manassas Pep Boys. The only reason I went there because my father in law recommends the Annandale Pep Boys to check my battery bu more

I would not recommend this business to anyone. I took my car to be service there for a window repair. It took them 5 days to fix a window. After the 3rd day or them having my car they called and needed an additonal $100 for labor. After I pick-up my car. The door they worked on started to fall apart. The door would not lock. The handle console was broken (would not stay in place). The service tech told me not to pull on the handle hard. Now they lock button is broken. They told me that my car was old and that is why it is fallen apart. They did not honor the demages done to my car due to there repair. more

I would not recommend this place for your automobile. The couple times I have been there i feel that they try to overcharge you and get more money out of you. more
