I Took my VW beetle to them for an oil change and filter. I asked for the best oil " Mobile One" and a good filter. Come to find out from the dealership that the wrong oil filter...

I Took my VW beetle to them for an oil change and filter. I asked for the best oil " Mobile One" and a good filter. Come to find out from the dealership that the wrong oil filter was used and was doing a considerable amount of damage to my vehicle. Good thing I found out before it was too late. The mechanics are not trained properly in service nor in tire changes. I've also had trouble with tire rotation and mounting as well. Would never use again. Waist of time and MONEY!They did charge more for an oil change than anywhere else for what I don't know. Obviously not their knowledge. more

PEP Boys - Stay away 6/30/2010

They tried to charge me $100.00 to plug a code reader to my vehicle and tell me why a light was on - AutoZone did it for FREE. All of them do!!! more

Tonight we were saved from a Batteries Plus nightmare. We took our car to Batteries Plus to get a new battery. They said it wasn't a battery issue. Our tow truck driver suggested we take the car to PEP Boys and they quickly diagnosed that the battery had a dead cell and replaced it while we got dinner at the restaurant near by. By the time we got back it was ready to go. Thanks PEP Boys!!! more
