Nobody aint got nothin' on Pizza Papalis 10/15/2002

I do have to say that I just love Pizza Papalis! I think it is the best thing about Greek Town. But to me it's not really a pizza, its like a lasagna with dough instead of pasta. The dough is like none other! Wonderful, fantastic, super, great...etc! Pros: excellent food, worth the drive more

Perfect pizza 9/25/2002

Best Pizza I ever had. I love the seafood pizza. You have to try it. more

Good Stuff but Pricey 8/29/2002

For a city that ""invented"" pizza (little C, domino), the guys here serve up a good pie. The only downside is the price which too me is very pricy for a pizza. You've gotta try this place. Pros: Fresh, Great Taste more

Here's the Real Papa of Pizza 8/24/2002

I have had pizza all over the US including numerous places that I have been told are the best. This includes numerous people bragging about the best deep dish pizzas in Chicago, Houston and New York. Every time, bar none, every person has agreed that Pizza Papalis is the best deep dish pizza. Pizza Papalis in Greektown is the ultimate! more

Veggies are Good 8/16/2002

Pizza Paplis has the best Spinach pizza I have ever had. I was leary at first ordering such a veggie on my pizza but it is wonderful! Also, the atmosphere in and out of the restaurant cannot be beat. It is located in the heart of Greektown, and there is always a party going on there! On a side note, since the pizzas are cooked in a brick oven, note that it takes a good 45 minutes after you order for your pizza to come. But they have great Salad and Breadsticks in the meantime! Pros: Ambience, Food Cons: Parking, Long Wait for Food more

PIZZA PERFECTION 8/13/2002

This is without a doubt the best pizza I have ever had. I love the Seafood pizza and the Meatlovers the most, but you cannot make a bad choice - they're all good! The location is good (get your free parking in the Casino deck - validate your ticket on the way back to the car), and it's great for work parties or dates. more

Yum 8/8/2002

Great deep-dish pizza - worth the wait when the restaurant gets busy. more

It's not Lou's, but it will do for me. 8/8/2002

Coming from Chicago, enjoying the pizza of Lou Malnati's for many years, it's been tough to find a pie worthy of my heart. That said, Pizza Papalis has become my favorite area pizza, for the last 4+ years. Trying them ALL, I go with Pizza Papalis, every chance I get. When in Chicago, eat at Lou Malnati's. When in Detroit, eat at Pizza Papalis. more

I LOVE PIZZA 8/8/2002

The best pizza I ever tasted was in Chigaco and PP rates a very close second. My brothers never had it so I took them and now they are hooked for life! Well worth the 45 min wait! more

7 8/7/2002

Large place with great amount of food to eat for the money. Pizza close to the Chicago original. Parmason cheese for the pizza you have to use a spoon. Drinks somewhat pricey. Pros: plenty to eat Cons: not many locations more

Jake Rogers 7/29/2002

Have you ever smelled this place. I took my mother there to celebrate her 80th birthday and I would of sworn she took lessons from the Yak lady at the carnival. Then I relized it was the stink permiating from the greek pizza next to us. The people with the pizza were all smiles as everyone at our table were discusted. We walked out. This place stinks.......LITTERALLY! Pros: In greek town, near casino Cons: Stink, Stunk, Sour more

#1 A+++++ 7/23/2002
