Best kept secret 11/4/2011

My parents use to go to the first restaurant (Flamenco-Golden Gate) that the owners had and we have been frequenting the Pavilion ever since we discovered it in the mid 80's. The food is all homemade (down to the dressings) and it is wonderful! The value is superb and you would be hard pressed to cook at home for any cheaper. I often pick up food on my way home from work to feed my family. This is the best kept secret in Greensboro. \r \r Many times I run into family members from Burlington that come all the way to enjoy the fantastic Prime rib on weekends. My favorite dishes are the flaming shish-k-bob and the shrimp cacciatori. They have authentic Greek and Italian dishes and everything I have ever tried has been great. \r \r The staff is friendly and at least one the three generations of family members is always on hand. I cannot say enough about the great food and value at the Pavilion. If you haven't tried it, it will quickly become your favorite. more

Rude 10/29/2010

I called to inquire about one of the items on their menu. I asked the lady who answered the phone if the shrimp parmigiana is fried or grilled or broiled or what. She responded, "I don't know and there's not even anyone here to ask." It's 6pm. Do you not have a kitchen? Is there really not anyone in the kitchen? At dinner time? There aren't any waiters or waitresses walking about? I find this hard to believe and she was just being rude and lazy. I have never eaten at this restaurant and now I never will. more

Pavilion is fabulous! 7/28/2009

Pavilion is one of my favorite local places to eat. Great italian & greek specialties. They have lunch specials during the week that can't be beat. If you like salads, try the Julienne. It's delish and quite filling! more

Great Spaghetti! 1/7/2009

Pavilion has a little more of a "mom and pop" feel to it and it usually pretty busy. I really like their spaghetti and salads. The service is always friendly and accomodating. It is a noisy, family-friendly, casual place to eat fabulous Italian! more

Best Chips 2/17/2008

Pavilion is a family-oriented restaurant that serves mainly Greek and Italian food. They have lunch specials that are very economical and the best hot chips in town, bar none. I enjoy the salad and a cup of soup for lunch and my friends and I split an order of chips. There's plenty for lunch and we practically roll out of there. They have a pretty good lunch crowd, so don't go at noon unless you have some time. more

some good eatin' 3/6/2006

This is a favorite restaurant of my family's. It is very comfortable feeling. The salad that comes with the entrees is really good. It is thinkly shredded iceberg lettuce and is cold and crisp. Their own Italian dressing is excellent. The Greek soup is excellent and their braised potatoes wonderful. Perfect place to seek "comfort food." PROS: Very good, reasonable priced food CONS: traffic problem trying to get to rest rooms! more

good, not fancy 12/23/2005

Pavilion is typical of "Italian" restaurants owned by families of Greek descent. Their menu features the usual Italian dishes and a sampling of Greek specialties, many priced under $10 and all prepared with care. The family is very involved with daily operation, which is almost always a good sign. The hostess who seats you may be the granddaughter of the founders! This is my wife's favorite place to eat, she loves their grilled chicken breast with the Greek seasoning they use. Pavillion is definitely recommended for those who like Italian and Greek dishes. PROS: good food, good value CONS: not fancy more
