My husbandpaid for a pool opening in March. When we called to schedule they were booked for 2 weeks. When they called to come we were not at home. Left 5 messages, never return...

Good company 9/14/2011

We had Pates order and install a new liner for our inground pool this past spring, as well as change the sand in the filter, install a new pump, and paint the coping. They completed the work in one day, finishing at 11:30 pm. Jim, the owner, returned immediately after calling when we indicated that we were going to need liner lock installed in a couple of places around the pool. The installers were friendly and efficient and worked through a cold, rainy day. more

Love Pate's! 4/12/2011

First of all to tdeak... who doesn't know that liquid chlorine has to be kept upright?! I mean, really?\r We've been dealing with Pates for about 15 yrs. We've had them open and close our pool many times. We've purchased lots of supplies from them. One time our pool heater was broken and they told my husband how to fix it, then came out and checked it for him and didn't charge us a thing! Best customer service, and the owner, Jim, is an honest, upstanding guy. more

Went to Pates for a gasket for a skimmer. They were very helpful and answered all my questions about installing the gasket. This is NOT the first tie I had been there!!!! Everytime I have ben treated fairly,had any and all conserns wiped away, and treated with respect no matter how stupid some of my questions were. I will continue to go there as long as I receive this type of treatment!!!! more

Very disappointed in company 6/11/2010

My husbandpaid for a pool opening in March. When we called to schedule they were booked for 2 weeks. When they called to come we were not at home. Left 5 messages, never returned any of them. I finally got a hold of service. They came out left. Said needed part. Never came back 2 days. Called was told they would be back in 2 days to finish. Then proceeded to tell me I would have to schedule sweeping, only paid for "mechanical opening" $216. I've owned a pool for over 30 years. First for me. Of course, they are booked and can't do the sweeping. I have a filthy pool, over a month now. I would never, I repeat never use this company again. more

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! 10/5/2007

DO NOT SHOP AT THIS STORE!!! I bought some chlorine last night and the store employee loaded the chlorine in my trunk. Unfortunately, one of the bottles of chlorine fell over and the entire contents spilled on my trunk mat, bleaching out parts of the carpet. At no time was I told by the employee that the chlorine needed to be kept upright. Had I been told that, I would have had him load it in the back of the car. I spoke with the owner, Jim, this morning and he refuses to refund me the money for the chlorine or pay for the damages to my car. I will NEVER shop at this store again!!! Pros: NONE Cons: TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE more
