I remember when I was young walking into the Hyatt Regency for the first time and thinking to myself that I had never seen anything so beautiful and elegant. The staff and service was tremendous and the food was truly exceptional. I always wanted to return to a Hyatt Regency one day again. Well, based on this, we did. My new husband and I planned for months to attend New Year's Eve 2012/2013 to ring in the New Year at the Hyatt Regency Atlanta at the Downtown Countdown. We bought clothes just for the evening only to find we were over dressed. The dinner was either noodles or rice dishes that are the buffet style served on styrofoam saucers. If you want a beverage of any kind, get it early otherwise you will wait in line for at least an hour and then it will be well watered down. They did serve breakfast after midnight if you consider a variety of danishes to be breakfast. They did have 3 different local bands and they did have comedians that were amateur as advertised, however, The only thing that was tremendous about the night was the price. You pay a lot and you get very little. It sounds wonderful and looks great in the pictures, but not worth the price by any means. more

From the look of the hotel and the great valet service I think I would have given this Hyatt 4 - 5 stars. But, that all went out the window the moment I was told that the room I booked over a month ago was sold to someone else. So you all know I am a beyond loyal Hyatt guest. My wife and I had our wedding at a Hyatt, I had my wedding shower at a Hyatt, and more business events than I can count. In addition when I travel on business (which is all the time) I will go out of my way and pay more to stay with Hyatt. Out of the hundreds of Hyatt's or any other hotel in my life, this was the most unforgivable thing ever done. Hyatt you better come up with something big for me to forgive you for this. 12am and you kick me out of your location and put me into some 2nd rate, off the beaten path hotel. Thanks Hyatt!\r \r I really hope that manager gets transferred to some horrible Hyatt in Alaska or something so I never have to deal with his greed screwing up my stay again!!! more

We went to the Hyatt Regency tonight for a dance competition. The service was unbeatable. We did not stay at the hotel because we live in town, but the staff was most helpful with any requests or questions we had. more

I stay in a lot of hotels around the world and this is by far the friendliess staff around. As they pass they acknowlege you, if you need anything they let you know they are available, no matter what floor you are on. I've never had so many conversations in my life. It seems as if the employees enjoy working here. I haven't had any problems, it was easy check-in, easy check-out. Would stay here again in a heartbeat. for the money, which is nominal compared to other luxury hotels in the area, this Hyatt gives you value, luxury, and location in the buckhead district. great for family vacations so that you are near all of the buckhead amenities such as shopping, dining, entertainment, as well as great for couples wanting an adult atmosphere in the heart of Atlanta sophistication. The service is great. My family and I stayed at this hotel when they were visiting Atlanta. It has reasonable prices for its well known location. The hotel staff is helpful and approachable. Our rooms were basic, but they were clean. We received A+ service for the standard room. This is the kind of treatment you would expect from someone staying in a suite. We had a comfortable stay, and I would go back again. more

We had a convention at Hyatt Regency Atlanta last year and they catered the dinner. I was surprised how good the food was. Hyatt had always been my favorite since then. When my husband plans a special dinner, he always takes me to Hyatt Regency Atlanta restaurant because he knows that I really like the place and the food. more

Called for special anniversery weekend. Paid extra for an ungraded room. Arrived, only had 2 doubles available (On an Anni?) Anyways, even more nightmare they charged my card twice. I love Hyatt in the downtown area. You can get great deals on priceline.com for under $50 a night usually. The hotel is contacted to a small mall and has 3 different restaurant and a nice bar inside. They have very fast check in and check out. This is just my favorite hotel for downtown. You do have to pay for parking i think it is $20 a day. more

We stayed on the Regency Club floor. What a dump! Trays with old food routinely sat outside the doors all day. The carpeting is smelly and badly stained. Public walkways smell of mold!
