For my prom, my friends and I rented one of their H2 limos. The original price we were supposed to pay was about $960 for 7 hours-- but we discovered that though the customer service rep told us many things, the majority of them were incorrect. "Misunderstandings," they told us. These "misunderstandings" were not in our favor-- a large group of high school kids, the majority of which don't have jobs, and the company attempted to rip us off by charging extra "garage-to-garage" time fees. Though in their policy it clearly states that "the final receipt will be calculated after" the event, we do not receive this information when we actually reserved the limo with the customer service rep. After asking the rep countless amounts of time about the final price, the rep continually said it was $960. If she had told us before hand that we would have been charged for two extra hours, we certainly would not have used this company, simply because, we are high school students WITHOUT an income. After calling and emailing them, they finally replied to us and said the first receipt was a mistake. They proceeded to charge us an extra $200 for the extra two hours; I called the company, and I talked to who I believed was a manager. He said the charge would be dropped because it was already included in the price. Yet, a day later, the other manager calls us back and says that it's another mistake, and says that we HAVE to pay a higher price, but she'd lower the extra price to $62. Granted, this was nice of her and her company, it would have been better if the customer service rep told us about the extra charges in the beginning. Though they only charged us an extra $62, if we had not said anything or argued, we would still be paying over 1.1k. We had to pay it, no matter what, because we were not allowed to cancel our reservation--which is also stated in their fine print on their trip confirmations. This was very deceiving to us because since we were not allowed to cancel, they took the opportunity to charge us anyway. Overall, the experience we had with Paramount was definitely far from good, but does not deserve 1 star because the managers were kind enough to lower the extra charge we didn't know about.
