Worst

My parents are in the older generation and can not get out much with my father having diabetes. They had received several pappas dining cards and thought it would be wonderful to ...

Sorry to see you geaux 4/6/2011

This was my favorite cajun seafood restaurant until it was damaged so much by Hurricane Ike in September '08 that it had to be torn down. We really hope that it will be rebuilt soon at either this location or nearby. more

just the right touch 11/22/2005

been to most all the pappadeaux in houston area.BUT...You just got to be near the water, the boats and the sunset to get the full effect. The regular menu items I found A bit pricey,Although if you've never had fondue.Ther's nothing to beat theirs.!10.50 or so and it fills up two people.Crawfish, blackened oysters, and shrimp with mushrooms and spinach in a perfectly heavenly cheese.I'm surprised I've never been arrested for making such 'sounds' while eating a meal.If you never try any thing else there try the fondeaux.Just try topping it off with the sweet potatoe pecan pie topped with ice cream and a bourbon sauce to die for..Diet, my@!#!@*&$ can't wait to go again!imapro, take my word Pros: atmosphere, not too crowded Cons: price more

Bad Experience 6/12/2005

I ordered a fillet of snapper with sauce on the side. When my meal arrived the fillet was slathered in sauce. I told the server I didnt want sauce. They took my plate, kept if for about a half hour and only scraped the sauce off the fish, giving me back the same fillet. I would never go there again. THere are much better choices in Houston. Pros: Its usually open, They have parking, Its on the water Cons: Overpriced, Atmosphere, Poor quality service more

Wonderful Experience! 6/1/2005

Reviewer with "aweful experience" must have been having a terrible day...we had a wonderful time and the view of the Kemah Boardwalk is really cool, specially as the sun set. Food was great and the service was accomodating (we requested a table with a view). Will return whenever we go to Kemah!!! And definately beats the waits and food in the Kemah Boardwalk restaurants. more

Great place 5/7/2004

This is a GREAT place to bring clients as well as special dates. It's fun, cheery and the best service near the water. If you have to wait (rarely) they have a nice place to site and great music playing. Two thumbs up, all the way. Pros: Service, Food, food, food, Specials, etc. Cons: , crowded Fri & Sat more

A restaurant I'll never forget 1/25/2003

The waitstaff and management staff is more than accomodating. The food is uncomparable to any other restaurant alike. See Mr. Gardner the manager he'll bend over backwards to make your evening a memorable one! more

  • In Short
The Cajun and seafood staples here are darn good. The seafood-and-andouille gumbo is a hearty broth flecked with sausage, shrimp and crab. Blackened catfish filets are delicious, nicely spiced, charred and moist. Other standbys include versions of étouffée, po' boy sandwiches and fried, broiled and grilled seafood dishes. Crawfish appear in countless forms, from steamed to fried and beyond.
