Be lucky if theyoffer you Pane or Vino! 4/2/2008

First off..... Im in the food and bev business, so I know what should happen at the table. Im not super picky but I do expect good service! \r Went in on a Wednesday night around 7 PM with a friend and was told to seat yourself and a server would be with us. There were about 5 tables including ours. We ordered within about 7 minutes of being seated. We ordered an appetizer, salad , entree, and a stromboli. It took around 25 minutes for a salad to arrive. We still hadnt gotten our appetizer. When we asked our server about the app. he said it was ""comming now"". When he returned with dinner we still had no app. At that point I said forget the app. and he said ""its almost ready"" and then within 2 minutes appeared with it. No appology or explanation was ever offered while he stood at the table holding the plate staring at us.\r Completely inept service!! Beverage refills only offered when we were completely empty and if we asked. No dessert offered.\r The owners of PaneVino should start planning their retirement very soon. With servers like ours, they wont be in business very long! Pros: No pros come to mind Cons: SERVICE!!!! more

Terrible Service 3/19/2008

My husband and I received a gift card for this restaurant and had visited once and loved it. Their food was great, so we thought we'd have another night out. We order a pizza to share between us and our daughter. After waiting for over 20 minutes after ordering, the waitress came and asked which type pizza we ordered. She wouldn't admit it, but it seemed she got the order wrong and they were going to have to start over. She came back 10 minutes later and asked what size. We were very frustrated and hungry by this point and trying to appease our daughter who was very hungry and getting close to bedtime. The waitress did fill our waters once, but never offered more bread or admitted what was really happening. She kept saying It will be out in 2 minutes, I promise. We kept seeing her walk around, but she did not come back to our table. My husband checked his watch once more and we had been there for an hour with no sign of food! We just got up and left. It was a terrible experience. We love Italian and last time their food was great. We could have been regular customers, but now we will not be dining there again! Cons: Never got our food! more

Name's great, the food isn't... 12/13/2007

I heard about this place from a friend, so I'm always looking for a good authentic pizza pie.\r I placed an order to go right at the counter and the man said it would be 15 minutes, and, it was only 15 minutes.\r A red flag went up immediately, because what I ordered was a medium pizza with fresh garlic and tomatoes.\r Typically, a GOOD homemade authentic pie is going to be at least 25 minutes or more to make and bake.\r There was just something really lacking with the pizza. It just didn't seem fresh or flavorful in any sense of the word. I really couldn't even taste the garlic, even though I could see it, so I guess it was cut days ago and the flavor was gone. The sauce and dough was something one could buy at a grocery store and put together at home.\r I also ordered a Caesar salad and Bruschetta.\r The Bruschetta was fabulous in flavor and consistancy. The bread rounds were served separate and a hearty container of the topping was given to me. This was nice so that when I got home, the bread rounds were not soggy.\r The Caesar salad was pathetic to say the least. A very small styrofoam container held the lettuce, store bought croutons and grated parmasean cheese. I expect fresh homemade croutons and shredded parmasean cheese and salad dressing made with real anchovies and garlic and not paste from a tube.\r Everything cost me $21.75\r I won't be going back. more
