Awesome Brazilian Food! 4/1/2010

From the Valley to Downtown, the Farmer?s Market on Fairfax and 3rd, is by far one of the best outdoor places to be for a little ?take care of me? time. Looking at the beautiful architecture, the water fountain show, the occasional outdoor band, theatres, shops, markets, and the enormous variety of restaurants available in this little treasure box, just taking half a day to walk around and enjoy the beautiful weather that is coming our way is just perfect. The area is family and animal friendly. Pros: everything Cons: nothing more

REAL Brazilain food 8/28/2009

Being Brazilian, I speak from experience when I say that this is the most authentic Brazilian food in the city. Straight out of my Grandmother's kitchen. I've eaten at a lot of so called Brazilian restaurants in this city, but this one is the real deal. FANTASTIC! Pros: Most authentic Brazilian food in L.A. Cons: A little pricy more

I don't get this place. 1/16/2009

I don't get this place. There's always a huge line. The food in the buffet is always soggy, lukewarm, and flavorless. The meats are always charred, overcooked, and dry. I ask for medium-rare and the server scoffs at me, slicing off little hockey-pucks of tough, low quality meat. Also the buffet line bottlenecks at the carving area, so all of your side dishes gets cold while some yokel tourist asks the server endless questions. And the cost? A decent sized portion will set you back at least $14 after tax. Ridiculous. Stay away. Pros: At least they offer 25% mon-thurs before 11:30am (if you make it through the slow line). Cons: Tough dry beef, lukewarm buffet food, expensive, parking. more

The BEST food at the Farmer's Market! 5/27/2008

The food here will make you a churrascaria lover! All the meat is good... the tastiest are the garlic beef and the garlic chicken. Delicious with the black beans and perfectly cooked plantains. If you're watching your budget, skip the salad bar and go just for the meat... the guys are friendly and you can explain that you want to try just a little piece of each and they gladly accomodate you. Oh! A bonus ladies! The all-male staff is friendly and defnitely easy-on-the-eyes! Pros: Food, service, staff Cons: Not one closer to where I live! more

A Quick Fix For Your Brasilian Appetite 10/5/2007

In Brasil, there are restaurants where you pay for each kilogram of food you place on your plate. It's a very cool concept, since you pay for what you will eat. Pampas Grill has brought that same concept over to Los Angeles and i think it is a GREAT idea! All of us who are missing the tastes from back home can afford to go and eat there. We Brasilians always want to ""matar as saudades"" of our homeland, but it's honestly quite expensive to do that with the normal churrascarias around here. Since they are having to serve dozens of people at once, the meats might be a little bit well-cooked (for my tastes anyway! haha) but the quality is still there. Honestly, I think this might be one of the most (if not THE) busiest out of the eateries in the Farmer's Market. There's a good spread of salads and side courses (including regular and vegetarian feijoada; a fundamental MUST for any Brasilian meal) and the meats are plentiful enough. There's your fix of red meat, chicken and Brasilian sausages. I think the only problem with Pampas Grill is more of its location: the parking is a hassle and there's not a lot of spots where you can eat. But outside of that annoyance, it's well worth a visit! Pros: Affordable Brasilian food, quick service Cons: Parking, little space more

Most Authentic and VERY TASTY TASTY Brazilian MEAT..YUM 7/9/2007

My husband is from Brazil and we have been to every Brazilian Churrascaria in So Cal and this place has the BEST tasting food by FAR. \r I HIGHLY recommend this place to anyone. Pros: YUMMY YUMMY FOOD Cons: The outdoor picnic-style seating is not for me more

Amazing food! 2/14/2007

I never thought this place would have such great food. A true diamond in the rough. The meats, the rice, the salads, everything is just wonderful. Its in the farmers market, so its not the best looking place but the food makes up for it. I high recommend this to anyone. Seating is sometimes hard to find. Pay by pound, so don't get carried away on your first visit, it does add up. The menu changes daily as well, a new chief a new menu, but they always have the same meats. Sirloin, Lamb, Sausage, are among some of the meats. Give it a try, you won't regret it. more

Awesome cheap brazilian! 11/24/2006

Pay-by-the pound lunches are the way to go. Their meats are excellent and their noodles are tasty. I really love the chicken. There could be more seating. more

tasty and affordable 11/24/2006

This is the best churrasco in the city - especially for the price. You pay for what you eat. The best is the picanha, lamb and spicy chicken. more

Great Food !! 6/14/2006

It is the best place ever in Farmers market. \r I've gone to other Brazilian restaurants before, but amazed of the variety of food they serve at Pampas. You can have anything from salads to BBQ for a fraction of the cost. You pick what YOU want, and it's worth every cent!! plus they validate pkg too. \r It's an A++ :) Pros: friendly staff, FOOD Cons: long line more

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. 11/9/2005

I visit Farmer's Market almost every weekend. I've tried to change and pick another spot to eat but after going around and around I always go end up at Pampas Grill. I just start drooling as I walk by. It is really adictive. The only CON is the waiting line but it depends on the time of day. more

Best place at the Grove 8/27/2005

Pampas is a perfect place to grab a meal prior to seeing a movie at the Grove. It's not worth going to the Grove for but if you are there it's the best place to eat. more

Magically delicious! 3/10/2005

This place rocks! It's just like the restaurants in Brazil where you pay by the kilo for your food. The only thing is that you can't eat for $3 here. Well worth the visit. Pros: tasty, authentic more

Best food stall at the Farmers Market 6/30/2003

My favorite place at the Grove/Farmers Market. They charge by the pound, so choose wisely. I would recommend the sirloin cap, garlic beef, and the lamb. Be patient, the line moves fast. Free parking is for two hours only, and that's with a validation! Pros: grilled meats, buffet Cons: always crowded, limited free parking more

excellent 5/9/2003
