We went here a few weeks ago and I was 6/23/2013

We went here a few weeks ago and I was not impressed with the food here. I ordered a steak and it tasted like it had sat around and when I came in the gave it to me. The employees were friendly though but the food no good. more

I found this hidden gem after reading 6/1/2012

I found this hidden gem after reading the Houston press. I am officially hooked! When you first sit down they take your drink order and come back with some delicious fresh baked bread with butter. The first time i ate here i decided to get the parrillada, its basically a grilled platter full of different cuts of meat. The meat is grilled to perfection. The only thing i did not like was the chicken. Maybe the reason why was that we ate all the beef first and saved the chicken till the end. By that time it was like eating chicken jerky. They also allow you to substitute different meats on the parrillada. This platter can feed 2 to 3 people easily, my brother and I devoured this dish along with 2 beef empanadas. The empanadas are light, fluffy, not heavy, delicate, flaky, and great! If i'm looking for something smaller but still hearty and delicious i settle with the entrana. My son loves the ham and cheese empanada and the tres leches. I do not speak spanish, but i know enough to get by. I believe i read that they have caramel pancakes with ice-cream? Only thing on the menu i havent tried! Try this place out you'll thank me later......... more

Houston's Best Argentine Steakhouse 11/8/2011

The steaks are great, and an amazing value. This place is the real deal. Even the Chimichurri and Gardiera are homemade. The Empanadas are all stunning, the beef ad the Spinach are my favorites. The real winner is the Parrilladas, mountains of meat served on a sizzling plate at your table. The owner is ever present and the srevice is good for being in an out of the way place. It is in an unassuming strip center, and the sign is not noticable, but it is worth looking for. more

Greal litel place 8/20/2011

We ate at Pampas Grill over year go and tried it again last night. It remains our favorite low-priced steak restaurant in Spring Branch. The prices are mostly under $15 even for good cuts and entrees comes with two sides and its BYOB with $5 corking fee. I had rib eye and she had the flank with roquefort cheese. They both were somewhat over done, but not too much. We had salad and veggies for sides, both good. Service was excellent. The downsides are its location in a non-descript strip center and the hot dining room. But, its small price to pay for really good South American style steaks and low prices. Lots of locals eat there. Also has a small grocery section with S.A. products. more

Yummy food, large portions 6/26/2010

After seeing an article in the HOUSTON CHRONICLE Whine & Dine section, we tired Pampa Grill. It was wonderful! Located in a strip center in West Spring Branch, just east of Gessner & close to Spring Woods High School, this place is a gem. The inside is small but beautifully decorated. The menu is not large but features items not found elsewhere. The staff is Argentinean to the core. Great service. We struck up a conversation with some native Argentineans, which was fun. Low key, relaxing, NO CORKAGE fee. Try it! Update to my review 9/30/11: Still great food at a low price, wonderful friendly service. They did institute a corkage fee, but who cares? Their prices are so reasonable anyhow. They make their own desserts, which are yummy. $2 latte, etc. Again, this place is a gem. Pros: Great food, nic atmosphere more

Best Argentine Food in Houston, Texas 4/10/2010

I don't have words to describe such a good restaurante in Houston. I recommend the steak, chorizo, milaneza, empanadas, pizza y ravioles. I din't have time to test the other meals, but I'm coming back for more. Pros: Simple and authentic argentinian Cuisine Cons: They don't have the alcohol license. more
