I lived here for a year. It is quiet and relatively nice but go down the street. You can find better for the same price.

I just moved into Palm Garden Apartments and I love it!\r \r Art was amazing and helped me get in to the apartment as quickly as possible. The leasing process was quick and painless. I got a giant 1000sq ft apartment for an incredible price..especially considering I was paying $400 more for a 650sq ft apt in DTLA. Mostly families in my end of the complex which is nice. I would highly recommend Palm Garden Apartments & the onsite manager, Arturo. more

I lived here for 6 months, with 2 other guys. We're all 20 somethings and we all loved our time here.\r The management, Arturo, is a great guy. We would have fairly large parties and have little to no complaints. It's a majorly family complex so the fact that we were able to be little crazy and have fun without disturbing the families there was awesome.\r All of our friends thought it was the nicest apartment, and enjoyed it just as much as us.\r I highly recommend living here to anyone who asks. more

We have been living at the Palm Gardens for over 4 years and we absolutely love it. \r The apartment themselves are spacious and kept up-to-date (and the price is right). If there is an issue with an appliance, they will fix right away!\r \r There are washers and dryers on location and are usually open (except Sundays when everyone wants to do laundry), secured building, carport, a gym (with great hours). Additionally, there is a pool with quite a few chairs to hang out with friends and family.\r \r Also, the manager onsite is also very helpful and very responsive. You will hear back from him right away. We highly recommend this building!\r more

Beautiful apartments. \r A lot of upgrades. The onsite manager is very helpful. The decor and amenities including parking are great. This is so much of a difference in comparison to other apartments we've seen. Great location for freeway access and the gold line too. more

Great apartment in South Pasadena 1/5/2013

Clean and spacious apartment in South Pasadena. Refreshing change compared to other apartments - palm trees, swimming pool, and koi pond. \r \r Apartment is secure with carports for all the residents. There are a lot of public parking spots on state street in front of the building for guests. Carport and other common areas are cleaned everyday by a neat and organized team.\r \r Have a great onsite manager Art who is really helpful, prompt and is always available to help even with small issues. \r \r more

Good apartment but get the top floor away from the pool and back alley. This was a great apartment for the price and definitely the nicest in the area. They always took great care of the property. Maintenance staff is on it! The manager is super friendly. The only issue that ever arose was the noise but it was enough. We were on the second floor and could hear everything that happened around us. The upstairs neighbors were extremely loud and work was constantly being done in the alley (gardeners, granite cutting, etc.). We also had some neighbors who had honking and yelling wars in the alley. The pool noise was more pleasant but still distracting. more

Great Place to Live 5/23/2012

This is a phenomenal place to live. Located in the quiet, quaint city of South Pasadena, the building is right off the 110 making getting on a freeway supremely easy. The neighborhood is beautiful with tons of families, dog walkers and kids walking to school in the morning. There are markets, stores and you are only minutes away from Pasadena. I cannot say enough good things about the amazing facility. The apartments here are very spacious and well kept for the price. The manager here keeps the entire complex clean and working well. Our apartment has an amazing view of the mountains and sits right outside of the pool and patio areas where many families have picnics. The other side of the complex has a stunning koi pond with more outdoor seating. Any problems I have (e.g. a broken window, paint chips, etc.) get fixed within HOURS or even MINUTES. As the website suggests, run, don't walk to live here. more

So Pas Hidden Treasure 2/22/2012

First, before I begin to tell you about the apartment. Drive by at night. The colorful landscaping lights are breath taking. My wife said it resembles a resort. The inside have the same features but includes a japenese koi pond, community eating area by the pool which is covered, and also a gym. It is the most noticeable complex on the block, you can even see it from the freeway. The apartments are a lovely sized, which comes in 1 and 2 bedrooms, our unit included a large balcony. the two toned wall and floor molding really adds character to the apt. The building is equipped with parking and street parking as well. The best thing about the complex is the management. Art is a great person. Any problem that needs to be handle will be fixed in a timely manner. Communication is his best asset. He takes pride in pleasing his tenants and looks out for their best interest. Thanks Art for all you do. more

Our manager, Art, has gone beyond his duties to help us. With the repairs around the apartment, we never had to wait long to have things taken care of. Art makes the apartment a comfortable place. This place will be an awsome place to live in. more

Well, let;s see after having lived in Palm Garden Apartments for over a year, your not going to find a more comfortable place to live. Art the New Property Manager goes the extra distance to make sure your living experience in these Apartments are problem free. I love the effect that I get from my guests as they see the condition of the grounds neat and well maintained. My neighbors throughout this complex are nice and friendly. Overall Outstanding!!!!!!!!!!!! more

I've lived at this apartment for almost 2 years and have had a great experience. The apartment is clean, quiet and well maintained. Any problems get handled imediately. The new manager is excellent, helpful and a pleasure to be neighbors with. This is the best apartment i've ever rented and it's a wonderful place to call home. A+++++ more

Wonderful place to live 12/10/2010

I just moved in and love these apartment, I especially love the great price. My wife and I looked around for 3 months and finally rented here. We love how close we were to DTLA, banks and resturants. more

Renters Beware!! 11/10/2010

If I could give this a negative rating I would. There are better places to live. Keep looking- down the street even. South Pasadena is filled with great places and amazing landlords. Do NOT sell your self short here. They are desperate for renters- and there is a reason for it! Your first hint- they over post on craigslist. They are desperate to get renters. This place is half empty and it has been the entire year and a half I have been here. Second- they tell you the specials are only for a short time. NO!! That sign has been up there for years! If you really are desperate to live here use these facts as leverage to negotiate rent. Third- NO ONE is calling to see the apartment you are looking at. It is a friend of the manager. They did this one to most people that live here- ask around and do not fall for it! There are some positives- 1. The gardens and pools are well maintained by an amazing work staff. 2. The apartments themselves are a decent size and are very liveable. 3. There is a strong family community here so if you have kids they will have people to play with. 4. The gym is decent 5. The pool is great The negatives 1. The walls are thin. 2. Most bedrooms face the walk ways. Awkward- people can see in to your room and they can definitely hear everything as they pass by. 3. This complex lacks privacy big time and if you have loud neighbors there is nothing to drown out the noise.And again- you hear EVERYTHING. 4. If you are NOT a smoker- beware. The windows are not sealed at all. When people smoke outside it all seeps into your house. 5. The sewer underneath the apartment smells. If your apartment faces the street you are in for a smelly time. 6. The pipes are OLD. Brown rusty water shoots out of the sink if you don't use it for even just a day. And you definitely can taste it if you just drink tap. more
