The service is horrible they put brakes on my vehicle and that next day the were making loud grinding noises so I took it back to the shop. I was told he put the cheap brakes on my vehicle because they didn't have the ones for my truck in stock. I had to pay more money and then they had to shave down my new rotors I just bought. I left the shop again the noise started again took vehcile back to the shop put another set of brakes on the truck. The truck was still making noise. I called customer service for pep boys they are a joke they only take your information and and forward it to the store customer service is just a call center that's not authorized to do anything but forward responses. The manager is aggressive and tries to talk over you he really lacks good customer service skills. I took my vehicle to another mechanic because I was waisting too much time taking it back and forward. This Place Is Very Expensive,Such As For Dirt Bikes They Charged Me $649 Finally After Changing The Price Multiple Times When I Called To Ask For The Price On 12/22/10 Plus The Base Fee Of $30,Now Come On You Know Thats A Rip Off! I was driving my sons car from Florida to Maine for him and lost my brakes on I95. Was towed from Maryland welcome center to Laurel MD, PEP BOYS arriving at 2:30 pm FRIDAY october 1st. Car was supposedly examined and I was told they would have it fixed and have me on the road by 9pm 10/1 for a wopping $856.00 ! At 8:30 that night was advised that they needed to order parts and they would get me on my way on SATURDAY10/2 by 12 noon. I went to a near by motel. I let them know I had to get to Maine asap and my flight back to FL would leave from ME on TUESDAY 10/5.Theres not enough room on this site to go into the details of what transpired but to make a long story short, they ordered the wrong parts 3 times (and blamed me a 51 year old woman for this) the MANAGER and DISTRICT MANAGER were RUDE, CONDECENDING, CALLED ME A LIAR, SHOUTED AT ME in the store in front of customers and brought me to tears. Do not go here! They ripped me off, and lied to me about my oil pan. I had no choice but to pay it because I needed my car back and they had drained my oil and said they couldn't put any in. These guys will take advantage of you if they don't think you know anything about cars! They did a horrible job too, I got into my car and there was great ALL over my steering wheel and seat. more

These guys are good and inexpensive. I took my old car when i friend hit it on a walk way. The bottom of the car was completely damaged and these guys got it fixed for very cheap. they are really nice too. FOr intiall inspection, they wont even charge you. Som it wont hurt you for comparing it other agencies. I recommend this place PROS: Quiet, cheap, helpful people CONS: hmmmm. i cant think of any. more

This Pep Boys has saved me more than once. When a lug bolt broke off of my car, we took the car to Pep Boys to order the part that we needed but was not in stock. That part arrived within an hour and my car was fixed and ready to go less than 30 minutes after that. They do tend to try to sell other things to you, like brakes and alignments, but as long as you stay firm and just pay for what you know is needed, you'll be fine. more
