Service is NO GOOD!! 12/10/2011

Where do I begin? Last time I went here, we waited for a server and kept waiting for 15 mins! Nothing. We had to go up to a Manager and ask what was up. What happened? Why is nobody attending to us when there are servers everywhere and everyone else is being catered to? The answer was that there was a new server who was confused about whether our table belonged to him or not? So, someone did notice us then. But they kept wondering? Instead of finding out? F this place! I had decided to give them a second chance when this incident happened because prior to this experience, the restaurant completely forgot out appetizers and brought out our meals. When we mentioned that we had ordered appetizers, they took back our meals, brought out appetizers and as soon as we started appetizers...brought out our meals. This all happened within 45 seconds. So annoying, I go out to have dinner because I don't want to cook AND I want to relax and enjoy myself...not be frustrated and annoyed that they cannot get something so simple right! Appetizers....THEN dinner! Ok PF Changs? Write that down and stamp it on your new waiters! Sheesh. more

Adoro a entradinha chamada lettuce wrap - é maravilhoso, é feito de frango com um tempero único. \r O pad thai deles também é muito bom.\r O restaurante tem decoração bem moderna e um ambiente externo muito agradável more

I love dim sum, so I ordered two dimpling appetizers instead of a regular meal. I can microwave my own frozen food at home for 1/3 the price. Tropical Chinese has nothing to worry about. I went a second time (sucker) thinking maybe I just had bad luck the first time. Nope. Still no better than what you can grab out of the freezer at Publix. Had Chang's spicy chicken. Honey, that ain't spicy. Take my advice. Skip it and head over to Tropical. (and, no, I don't work for them. They just know what they are doing. One positive. The wait staff was really, really great. So they got a good tip, a tad over 20%. It's not their fault the food is bad. more

We stopped in P.F. Chang's one day for happy hour and it was fantastic. I don't often go to franchised restaurants, but this was a very pleasant experience. There were a number of fantastic drink and food specials.\r \r I had a Asian Pear Mojito to drink; it was made with Bacardi Limón and had just enough of the pear flavor - lots of gorgeous fresh mint.\r \r We started with some of the spring rolls, they were ok, but not out of this world. Next up was the seared ahi, it was very flavorful, I loved the spicy mustard with which it was served - but it could have been cut better (It was not cut across the veins of the fish making it tougher than it needed to be). The pork steamed dumpling we tried was fantastic, though the portion size left much to be desired. I never would have thought to order the "Asian Street Tacos" but I am glad that my server recommended them, they were quite tasty.\r \r As an entrée I had the Beef Chow Fun - it was delicious with the perfect amount of sauce, a fantastic texture to the chow fun noodles (just soft enough, without being mushy).\r \r All in all this was a fantastic experience. more

Here's a place that almost everybody enjoys. P.F. Changs has a few locations in S.FL. so you don't have to travel too far to get to one. They have a varied menu and most can find something that compliments their taste. \r \r We went on a Thursday night and made a call ahead reservation for 8PM for a party of six at the Aventura location. You can make advance reservations online for up to six people. When we arrived we were surprised \r \r to see the place was bustling. Many people waiting and more coming in. Our table was ready in about ten minutes. \r \r We gave a drink order and then proceeded to inspect the menu. Michelle and I opted for the "2 dinners for $39.00." I got the Orange Beef, my favorite, and asked for it to be extra spicy, 'cause I like it HOT! Michelle got the Shrimp Cantonese. We both had Egg Drop Soup and split an appetizer of Chicken Lettuce Wraps which we both enjoyed. I was disappointed in my entrée because it wasn't very spicy and was very dry. The sauce was kind of thick and pasty. I was able to add enough of the various hot sauce/mustard/peppers to make it super spicy but the thick sauce made it impossible to mix well with the white rice. \r \r Our dinner included two of their mini desserts. I had the chocolate cake and Michelle passed her tiramisu to my cousin Herma. \r \r Darrin, our waiter, was very attentive and made sure everything was to our liking. He obliged me by posing for a picture with Michelle at the conclusion of the meal. Lydia and Pepe posed for a picture on our way out. more

The food is good, but the decor is a little tired. If you sit outside it is perfect. The outdoor seating overlooks a lagoon through the mangroves, very cool. Like Houston's and Morton's next door, Chang's gets very crowded.\r \r Great location, good food and they now have a kid's menu with prizes and chopsticks cheaters. more

Very Good Chinese Food for Chain Restaurant 5/13/2008

Usually I dread chain restaurants like the plague, but occasionally I get a pleasant surprise. This was the case last Saturday as the 5 of us went to P.F. Changs in the Aventura area. After waiting 20 minutes for our 9 P.M. Reservation we were seated in a nice booth. The decor is nicely upscale and the service professional. Josh who was our very knowledgeable & professional waiter got our appetizer orders in and they arrived promptly. The place was packed so this was a good sign that things were getting out quickly. The kitchen must really hum. The tempura green beans were delicious and the spicy mayo was piquant. The lettuce wraps were crisp and tasty. The spring rolls were just a tad over cooked, but not enough to ruin the dish. The Mains were a treat. The honey shrimp were cooked nicely and the flavors a perfect blend on the tongue. I had the Dan Dan noodles which were like mini gnocchi with a medley of veggies & shrimp, beef & chicken, very tasty. The vegetable side dishes were delightfully fresh and well balanced (a bargain at $2.50) The dessert sampler is a great end to the dinner with 8 mini parfaits of various flavors. The bill came to a reasonable $150.00 for 5 people and we left very pleased. Pros: Very good food in professionally run establishment Cons: Reservation at 9 means seated at 9:20 no reservation means 1 hour wait though more

must give it a try 8/3/2007

we are never dissapointed with the food or service in this restaurant. The two dishes that are great are the honey chicken and the mongolian beef. I recommend you make reservations since the waiting time is usually long for dinner. more

I had the best experience at P.F. Chang in Brickell 3/9/2007

Well, I fell kinda sorry for the guy who wrote before me, but the service at P.F. Chang has always been excellent (I go there at least twice a week). The hostess could not seat us in 10 minutes because the restaurant was jam packed all the time, but that shouldn't constitute bad service, right? \r \r After we were seated, we got served attentively by different servers (you get to know a lot of them after eating there twice a week.... of course you'll get average service if you go there frequently and tip like you are at a cheap restaurant......). \r \r Plates were changed promptly, silverware clean, food super delicious, and my glass and wine always refilled. Manager gave me free dessert for my birthday....anyway, it is just my favorite place to unwind...and I recommend this restaurant to anyone in a heartbeat.\r \r Pros: Service, Food, Environment, Class Cons: Parking more

P.F. Chang's in Brickell is terrible! 1/14/2007

The service at the PF Chang's in brickell was terrible. First, good luck finding parking for your vehicle. Second, the table which we had reserved was mistakenly issued to another party. Third, one of the napkins, which came with our silverware, was used and dirty. Forth, the food which we ordered was mistakenly distributed to the table that was next to ours. We were actually expecting for cameras to appear, because it seemed like someone had set us up on a comedy show. The night couldn't get worse. This was by far the worst dinning experience that we have ever had. Pros: Food, ambiance, and prices are good. Cons: Parking, service, and cleanliness stinks. more
