Never Fails! 11/24/2007

This place never fails. I come here with business partners from time to time. Great team here- hostesses very friendly, servers always on top of things, we've spoken to the manager before to compliment a great establishment. Pros: Great food, great service Cons: parking sometimes a problem more

Girlfriends treat!!! 10/21/2007

This is where we go to let it all out, Pros: Lettuce wraps, Eggrolls, Pina collatas. Cons: There are NONE more

Great Chinese food!! 10/3/2007

This is one of our favorite places to eat in Birmingham. We try to sit in a place where our kids can see the kitchen to watch the food being prepared. They don't have a kids menu, but my kids love the 'lo mein' (they like lots of things on the menu now). The food is always delicious. Our server is always polite, and friendly. They give you a choice of brown or white rice with your entree, and their sauces are wonderful. Our food is always piping hot. They give you generous servings (I always end up taking half of mine home with me). The food is served in bowls. I really like that, because you can share all of the entrees. If you go during their busy hours, it's hard to get a good parking place. I highly recommend if you've never been! Pros: food, ambience, service Cons: parking more

I keep their number in my cell phone! 9/20/2007

First of all, I don't even love Chinese food. Something about them drenching everything with sauce and the mystery meat doesn't appeal to me. But I LOVE this restaurant. They have the best hot and sour soup. I keep their number in my cell phone because they now take reservations - just call them up once you decide to go there. And if you forget to call ahead, you can walk to the book store during your wait. It's worth the wait. Pros: Great food at great prices Cons: the wait - but they now take reservations more

Great, if you don't mind waiting 8/18/2007

I have been coming here for years. However, the waits are agonizing. Hardly any room to move in the lobby once you are waiting. Hostesses almost too busy to care about anyone except paperwork in front of them. If you do come in contact with the hostesses, ask for ""Rose."" She is the only one that actually communicates with the customers that come in. Great service usually from our waiter. Our waiters are always prompt and friendly. ""Christian"" is our favorite waiter. Maybe a few slight mess-ups here and there, but overall great service. Managers stop by tables to briefly speak to customers which is nice. Floors are always slippery. My wife nearly fell flat on her face while getting up from our table. Overall, great place to go with our kids. No kids menu though- be aware..we were told that there was no kid's menu after the fact we sat down and our 5 year old was handed a regular menu. Overall good place. Pros: friendly staff, great food Cons: long waits, parking is horrid more

You can't beat this Chinese cuisine 12/7/2005

You can't beat this food. It's savory. If you love spicy go with the Hot Fish, a signature dish. It's catfish stir fried in a spicy oyster like sauce. The lettuce wraps are good too. Pros: Good food Cons: Long wait more

Best Chinese in Birmingham 4/7/2005

I have dined here 30+ times and have never had a bad experience. Weekends can have up to a 2 hour wait, so make a reservation. Try the chicken lettuce wraps for an appetizer...a little messy, but very good. I usually get the Chang's Spicy Chicken for an entree. If you like spicy, this is your dish. Pros: Great value Cons: Long wait more

Try it - you'll LIKE it ! 3/21/2005

The food was outstanding, we were seated quickly & the atmosphere @ P.F. Chang's was cozy, despite the fact that it is a fairly large place. It would be an excellent place to take a date. The waitress, although pleasant & very attentive, did not have one of her better night however; she brought several things we DID NOT order, while 'missing' things which we did, as well as mixing up the types of wine we ordered. Things were recitified however, when we were given the non-odered items as EXTRA, without being changed, as well as 2 additional glasses of wine, again w/o being charged. All-in-all, I'd go back to Chang's on my next Birmingham visit. more

Great-Great-Great! 1/30/2005

You have to get the lettuce wraps, period! Great service, great decor, great food! The wait can be a little lengthy during dinner, especially on Friday/Saturday nights. One of the first retaurants in town to add the outside heaters to keep you warm and happy while waiting. Pros: Servers, View, Proximity to "other" Cons: Rush hour wait, Can't ride the horsy, Parking more

A favorite 12/2/2004

This is one of our favorite restaurants in Birmingham....the lettuce wraps are a favorite. And, the view from up on hill out on the patio is fantastic. Good service and friendly servers! Pros: clean, friendly more
