We originally began vacationing in the OB after the northern beaches in Delaware became too pricey. After our first trip, we were hooked. Beautiful beaches, no high-rises. Plenty of activities for those who wish them, but great place to just vegetate. Wonderful, inexpensive and expensive restaurants, historical sights, and lighthouses, too. The only drawback is our route from Pittsburgh, not an easy or quick drive, but well worth the trip. Prices continue to rise so if you're looking for oceanfront accommodations, you will play accordingly. Still bargains if only oceanside. Great homes for large groups. We found this to be a great way to experience luxury accommodations at a fraction of the house price.
Pros: beaches, accommodation choices, activities
Cons: , traffic in summer
