i lived there for two years and loved it. the place exploded in the summer, which was great, and was very peaceful (but sometimes empty) in the offseason. if you are looking for some nightlife, might i suggest going to the newly-renovated kelly's, or port o' call, or hanging out at mama kwan's or slammin' sammy's? and please please please, patronize the local business. it's what makes OBX so charming.
Pros: friendly people, nothing but beach!
