Stay Away 7/5/2003

Hadn't been their for ages and now know why. Took three sets of silverware before getting a clean set. Soup& appt's came out ice cold two times. Salad came out with large piece of plastic in it. Nothing done or even said after bringing this up to waitress and requesting manager. Rest. was not crowded so there was no excuse for this. It's a shame, at one time they weren't to bad for a chain. Save your money and your frustration, go elsewhere. Cons: Dirty, No value, Poor quality more

Stiring You Straight 5/15/2003

I have had both good and bad experiences at this Resaurant/Bar --Waiting can be a trial. The beepers seem to work but reservations wood be nice. Who or what is more inportant-- the dollar or the comfort of the customer? I want to feel I can get a seat close to when I enter the door. I don't like people squished into a small waiting space. Customer service? Thats something that this restuarant does not specialize in. They have a call ahead service to make reservations and then it still takes 2 hours to seat you even though you called and 1hr before that. The host was rude and the steak was burnt. The side of 2 crab legs that was supposed to be a 1/2 pound? They must have been weighing the water and the pot to come up with a 1/2 pound. There is no possible way that was a 1/2 pound. The only highlight was the waiter that knows most of his earnings depend on the service he gives. Maybe if the host and cooks wages depended on the service they gave everyone would get the best service all the time. Now thats a new concept. FOR THE PRICE, OUTBACK STEAKHOUSE MAKES A GOOD STEAK. BUT IF YOU ARE JUDGING ON TASTE ALONE, DON SHULA'S IS BY FAR THE BEST, THEN CAPITAL GRILLE. IF YOU ARE ON THE EAST SIDE, THE SEAFOOD CHOP HOUSE IS GREAT AS WELL. more

All of my steak experiences (except one) at The Outback have been great. I order the 12-oz prime rib. Sometimes I will order the 16-oz if I want a midnight snack that night. I ask that it be seasoned, and prepared medium, otherwise, they will not season it and it will be bloody. (I am not a vampire and I also don't want E-coli). It is very delicious, tender, and juicy. The food is alright, but very commerical. It isn't a very nice atmosphere. You want a good steak go to Logans, steak and peanuts what more could you ask for. more

Not worth it! 1/2/2003

I have had better steaks out of a frozen dinner! The only food item worth going for is the Bloomin' Onion. Other than that, the steaks are not worth it. more

Going out for steak should be an experience. Al a carte $6.00 baked potatoes are what it is all about. Outback is the ""everyman's"" steakhouse, and that is OK, but no way should it be rated second. No mega chain shoud be on this list. more

Most Bang for the Buck! 12/3/2002

Outback is by far the Best bang for the buck when your looking for a steak. Sure there are better restaurants but for the money its hard to beat an Outback. the King Crab legs are Huge, Its like eating a crab steak! The steaks are prepared as ordered and their Ceasar dressing rocks. Get a burger and add bacon and cheese to your fries for only $1. The best strip you'll find for $16. Food and service was ok. Apmosphere is good but like any chain restaurant. I'm kind of disappointed to see that the quality of the food in this restaurant can compete with the big guys. Outback is great, you get large portions and it's great food but vs. a steak at a restaurant like Ruth Chris or Morton's there is a HUGE difference! Outback is the KMART of steak restaurants! Great value but less quality! more
