A relative had left my wife and I a pair of very expensive area rugs that we could not afford to replace, either financially or sentimentally. The carpets had been sitting in a mildew heavy basement for several years and also had a few wine stains that had been there for the entire time the rugs were stored.\r
Upon calling Jerry, he offered me a price over the phone and was available to pick up the rugs the next day. When he arrived, he noticed that the dimensions on the carpeting were smaller than I had thought and he quite fairly adjusted his price accordingly. \r
I have always been aprehensive about letting strangers into my home, having ""inheritaded"" the plumber, electrician and painter from my parents experiences, but upon metting Jerry (the owner) in person, I felt better letting him take my Aunt's heirlooms off into the night.\r
When he returned the rugs, they were in amazing condition, looking (and more importiantly smelling!) as if they had just been purchased.\r
I rarely have the opportinity to write anything other than scathing letters of doom towards the vendors of the world whom have adapted a severe lack of caring about thier products and services, so it is extremely nice to be able to praise a company for doing things the way they should be done. The way we used to take for granted.
Pros: Honest price quoting.
