Ord Market

I made a reservation for a U-Haul truck at Ord market for 9:00am through the U-Haul website. When I arrived to pick up the truck, the owner said they wouldn't be checking in the trucks from the previous day's rentals until 10:00am and wouldn't be checking out trucks until that way complete. I had three movers working for me at $20/hour each. I showed the owner my reservation with U-Haul showing 9:00am and he said he was under no obligation to honor it. On the plus side, I called 1-800-go-uhaul and they moved my reservation over to the Penny Saver Market, where my truck rental was quickly and courteously processed. more

The owner seems irritated that he has to do anything for a customer when he is working. He also appears to be courteous only to his female customers. Even then, he's not that courteous. The rest of the staff is decent, even if they do look bored half the time. Pros: close by Cons: almost everything else more

This is the place to stop if in the monterey area you have to try the large tri tip Sandwich with homemade BBQ sauce it is worth the stop and the price for only $7.99 for 9 inches of sandwich I will Be Back Pros: Great Stop Customer Service more

Don't ever use this place to rent a U-Haul truck from! They are rude, unreliable and inconsiderate. In my reservation e-mail for the U-Haul, it did not state a specific time to pick up the truck just that they operated from 9am-12pm. Then the day I was to pick up the truck, they called yelling at me that I was supposed to be there at 9am and now if I was not there in 30 minutes they would give the truck away! I tried to explain that I was not informed that I needed to be there at 9am but he just kept interrupting me and raising his voice. When I got there the man was extremely rude and had no manners at all. The office was in the back of a market - it was disgusting and dirty! I had asked for some specific moving supplies in my reservation which he did not supply me with but charged me for and I know I have to fight to get the charges off my credit card. Overall, a horrible place with no customer service! more

ive been to ord market a handful of times, and each time i have to stop by their deli and get a sandwich. they're sooooo good. the otter bay or the tri tip are my fav's. they are huge, and for price, well, its cheaper then subway and way better. more
