Best Eyewear place in town 5/28/2011

Great personalize friendly service, if you are in Los Angeles and looking for a new pair of glasses the chances are that you are going to find it here. They are very knowledgeable and their recommendations and suggestions are right in the spot, I will defenitely come back for any eyewear needs! more

A great place for frames! 5/18/2011

I've never written a review about anything. However, the service at Optx Fine Eyewear is such that I felt compelled. I puchased my first pair of progressives (no-line bifocals) & they look and feel great. I received several compliments that very day! The owner, Wayne knew exactly which frames would be good for me. He was very knowledgable & helpful. His associate, Amanda was very helpful as well & they have a wide selection of frames. I live in Long Beach & will definitely go there again for my glasses/sunglasses. It is worth the drive. more

What a way to See? 2/26/2011

I have been walking into Optx for about a year, and kept looking and waited until Insurance, Look, Feel were just right. Wayne was very patient, and every time I walked in was greeted wonderfully. When all was ready, and knew it was time to replace glasses, Wayne and Associates were fantastic! What a warm and welcoming place. Wayne always pointed me to a pair of frames that looked good, and felt good, even with my specifics and whining...he was amazing. I was so thrilled with the frames, service and assistance, I got a second pair. I cannot recommend Optx, enough. Whether you like to browse and just look, or want to ask for everyone's opinion in the store...it is the place for your eyeglass needs. more

OPTX great place to get your new fashion off the Blvd. 1/17/2011

The first time i walked into Optx, i was greeted with a smile and a warm atmosphere. Some great eclectic music was playing and i was instantly attracted to the feel of the store. Wayne just knows face types and can peg you down to the exact pair that will fit your face type. For me, he showed me some cool Persol and the classic Raybans, i instantly fell in love with the Raybans and bought a pair. I will be going back as soon as i find another pair that i need. more

I've been in customer service for over 10 years and honestly, the guys over at Optx Fine Eyewear are some of the best in the business. Do your self a favor and see what it feels like to be in a warm atmosphere with people that really care about your happiness and satisfaction...it really does go a long way. Style and Service 7/29/2010

I needed a pair of prescription sunglasses because my eyes don't work well with contacts. I must have tried on every pair in the store until I found a pair of Persol's that fit me perfectly. The sales staff (Amanda) was extremely helpful and honest in telling me what works for my face and what doesn't. The turn around from purchase to pick-up was super quick and there were no hassles. When I came back to get an adjustment, I met the owner (Wayne), who was very friendly and really helpful in adjusting my frames, so now they are completely perfect. Great place. Will definitely go back when it's time for some new frames. Pros: Great selection, friendly people more

Excellent Service! 6/10/2010

I knew I wanted a pair of Oliver Peoples, but I was unsure of the right style for my face. Wayne really helped me through the process. He was very helpful with my reimbursement from VSP. He gave me a great deal on the lenses too. I can't say enough good things about Optix, and I love my glasses. Pros: Patient, warm, friendly environment Cons: Can't think of any. more

LOVE LOVE LOVE GREAT SERVICE 5/3/2010

I just bought a pair of Chanel sunglasses at Optx Fine Eyewear so I thought I would write a review. I wasn't sure if I wanted Chanel or Tom Ford so I googled them both and found that this store carried both. I called and yes, both lines were in stock. I live near Calabasas and work in Sherman Oaks so the store was convenient. Stopped in, met Wayne and he is like these other reviews say. I did buy a Chanel and certainly will be going back to the store when I buy my Tom Fords! Pros: GREAT SELECTION more

Forget the Eye Glass Stores on the West Side 4/28/2010

I knew the owner (Wayne) when he ran the very 'chic' eyeglass store -- Optx on Robertson. I always kept returning to the store because of Wayne and his amazing service. Well, he's now in the Valley which means that I can find the same selection and service that was in West Hollywood but is now in the Valley. Once you experience his service, you'll never go anywhere else. Pros: Reliable, friendly, professional and great selection more

Great Glasses, Better Service ! 4/23/2010

I had just moved in the area and was looking to get a pair of sunglasses fixed. I found this eyewear store and thought they were going to charge me a arm and a leg to get them fixed. Well, they didn't ! The guy (Wayne) that ran the store was really nice and took his time to help me. It really felt like he care about me and my sunglasses. I've been in the store several times since then and saw him treating other customers the same way. I wish all places of business cared for they customers the same way. Summer is almost here, go by Optx and pick up your summer eyewear. Pros: Great Customer Service Cons: Not open 24 hrs. a day more

Found Treasure 4/23/2010

I had lost my favorite Ray Ban sunglasses and a friend of mine turned me on to this store, telling me it was a great store and had anything I wanted or needed in sun glass wear. I was skeptical, because I am in NY they are in CA and thought it might be a difficult transaction. But I called anyway just to see if they would help me out. I worked with Wayne and he was very helpful, patient and accommodating. I told Wayne what I wanted, he had it in stock, took my information over the phone and within a couple of days, my sun glasses arrived at my home in NY. It cost me less than it would have at a local retail store. It was unbelievably easy and painless! I have recommended this store to all of my friends and family! Finally... 2/4/2009

I?ve been wearing glasses for twenty five years. I get a new prescription every three years and have had trouble with my last two lenses. I saw three different optometrists but their prescriptions still gave me slight eye strain unless I let my glasses sit on the end of my nose[I looked very professorial but didn?t like the feel]. A neighbor suggested I try optx fine eyewear because if there was a solution to my problem Wayne Fletcher, the owner/optician, would find it. Wayne took ten minutes to fix what three optometrists and hours of driving, waiting, being examined/fitted couldn?t solve. He re-ground new lenses using my old prescription while simply adjusting the focal center. I use a wheelchair and don?t like adjusting and cleaning my lenses throughout the day . Wayne used a German lens with anti-glare and a moisture resistance coating that makes it ten times easier to clean. He also used a frame with a memory feature which means no more adjustments. Wayne is a thorough professional but even more importantly he is committed to his customer[Just think of the Jimmy Stewart character in ?It?s a Wonderful Life]. Pros: All of the above and more, much more. Cons: Wayne doesn't do dentistry, auto repair, plumbing or tax preparation. more

I Won't Buy Glasses Anywhere Else! 1/17/2009

If you're shopping for new glasses in the Los Angeles area, there is no better place to buy them than OPTX Fine Eyewear. As a professional photographer, I'm probably a little more obsessive than the usual customer when it comes to vision quality. Owner/optician Wayne Fletcher is a true professional who patiently answered all my questions and made excellent recommendations regarding the best type of frame and lens for me. He went out of his way to make sure I was pleased with every aspect of my new glasses. I couldn't be happier! If you appreciate exceptional personalized service and top-quality eyewear at reasonable prices, this is the place for you. Simply, a great place to buy glasses! 12/1/2008

Stopped in to Optx Fine Eyewear since I was waiting for a table at IL Tramezzino. Store was bright, clean and certainly was nice to shop. Wayne, the owner greeted me and I think he knew that I was walking around because I was waiting for lunch next door. We talked about glasses and I eventually bought a pair of glasses with feathers in the frame. The line is called Ete. They are really unique. They almost make glasses an 'accessory' which is exactly what Wayne described. Wayne offered a discount to me that I was not aware of. Wayne was great! He carried the usual brands but had other really neat and funky glasses. Pros: Excellent service, 20% discount, brand variety, glasses made on site Cons: Parking, tricky to find more

Uncovered a Gem... 10/4/2008

My favorite glasses broke and I really wanted the same frames, but my original optician no longer carried them. So I called all around LA -- maybe 10 calls -- to see if stores stocked my exact frames, and most people who answered barely knew what I was talking about. You know, the kind of customer service we've all gradually become resigned to. Then this guy Wayne at OPTX not only knew my exact make and model, but he was also the ONLY person to ask me what color frames I had! Of course that's what someone SHOULD ask when I'm requesting the same exact model, but he was the only person on the ball enough to do so... On top of that, he told me about his City Search coupon when he didn't have to... And while everyone else said that it would take 2 weeks to get my frames (from Denmark), Wayne pushed the issue with the manufacturer and I received my new glasses in exactly one week... So why go anywhere else now? He's my new optician, even though he's 25 minutes away. And he earned my first ever City Search review! Pros: Amazing Service!!! Cons: Up in the valley, but worth the trip more

Top Shelf Service with the Most Comprehensive Selection!!! 8/29/2008

This store is equally appropriate for the LA Fashionista out there who wants what's HOT right now, as it is for the discerning professional - and everbody in between, like me! My first priority was make sure I was properly fitted with a high quality lens - by a professional. DONE! This place is owned and operated by somebody who is expert level - I could tell - I've been wearing glasses for years. I am so glad one of my friends referred me to them and will buy all future glasses from there. The owner was helpful, polite, (not pushy) and really honest when making frame recommendations. I have NEVER received so many compliments about my glasses as I have with these (they're alain mikli) and they were suggested to me. If you need (or just WANT) great new glasses - you gotta go here!
