We've had our 3 year old lab/pit mix since he was a puppy. In that time, we have boarded him at 2 other facilities, all of which raved about his sweet behavior.
Onion Creek Kennels, however, told us our dog bit one of their staffers and that due to his aggression and dominance, he could not come back.
I was shocked, appalled, and worried when I heard this- at least until I asked them to tell me how it happened. Their story was fishy and forced. The woman's description of my dog changed moment to moment. One minute the woman would say my dog was a sweetheart, and the next minute she would said that he was dominant and aggressive. She alleged that the staffer had gone to a minor emergency clinic for her ""wounds""... but I received no fees and the woman spoke of it as if it were nothing. She was also very calm about the whole situation, and kept reiterating that my dog is ""very sweet, but too strong for our staffers"".
What really upset me though was the last thing she said to me. ""I think he was just excited by the other dogs. He's very sweet and gentle, but they're just so strong and you can't trust them"".
I've asked for a video of the incident and a better description of what happened, but received nothing. My worries are that they somehow mishandled my dog to cause him to act this way, or that they are greatly exaggerating the truth.
