Disappointed. I had a new heat pump and backup oil burner installed 8 years ago. I have had Morvent out to the house 4 or 5 times for warranty service, and they charge for the house call even though the parts are covered under warranty. Not happy at all... more

Annual service call is always comforting 12/14/2011

The Morvent service man was very prompt and professional. He sat and dicussed an issue with our heating system and presented options to resolving these issues. He was knowledgeable and courteous. I also appreciated the follow up call from the Morvent office to confirm my satsifaction with Morvent's service. I would recommend Morvent to my neighbors. more

Very satisfied customer 12/13/2011

I had a complete heating and air conditioning system installed 5 yrs ago. I'm completely satisfied. They came out and did the install in one day and cleaned everything up leaving no mess for me! Since then I did have an issue with a compressor and they came out and took care of the problem at no cost to me. Each time they come here for service, I couldn't be more pleased. The guys are pleasant and professional and never leave dirt or a mess, and the work is acurate. I would recomend them to any of my friends or family! more

Could not be more disappointed 9/24/2011

I had this heating system put into my home two years ago March. When I had my oil provider come to service it after Morvent had done it in thepast, I was extremely angered to find that SEVERAL parts needed to be replaced or never there correctly. Here is what I was told,""Boiler in nearly every respect installed improperly and poorly. Boiler nearly one inch out of level, no isolation or balance valves, expansion tank piping is downhill, too long and too many turns, Dom coli and mix valvee piped wrong. found significant amount of water in fuel system due to improper tank fill cap- replacefill cap(1 1/2"" FM 45 degrees).""\r \r Servicemay be on time and polite, but actual work not. For $8,000 I expect the product to last longerthan 2 years. If I didn't havesomeoneelse cometo clean and service, I would not haveever know. Sneaky and underhanded!!!!! more

Professional, reliable, great workman and workmanship 3/18/2011

I have had a contract warranty on my air and heating system for about 6-7 years with these folks. EVERYTHING about them is focused on your satisfaction. The technicians have been in my house twice a year for routine maintenance and are careful, complete, and reliable professionals. They answer any questions and respect your property. Genuinely nice guys who know their stuff. On a bitterly cold day with 2 feet of snow on the ground, despite my opinion he did not need to, out he went to check on the A/C unit. That is dedication!!! After the techs leave you will get a call from the company to make sure everything was to your satisfaction. This company is GREAT! Can't imagine anyone doing a better job or providing more service and value for my $$$. more

They deliver on their promise! 2/15/2011

We have been customers for a few years now for routine maintenance service only, but recently had some problems with our thermostat and humidifer. The service we received was outstanding. George came out twice (once being at 11PM on a Friday night), James and Jim once and Bob once and never we we charged a dime. It was important to them that the job was done right and that we were satisfied. We also spoke to Drew on the phone and he was A+ too. Morvent's has redeemed our faith in a business providing excellent service. Their technicians are neat, professional, knowledgeable and punctual. We highly recommend them to all our family and friends. more

Morvent's One Hour Heating & AC 2/3/2011

Remarkable - you'd never know we are in a recession. I called several contractors to get a quote and only one showed up. The Service Tech took the time to go over my options and explained the details in a language I could understand. I felt comfortable right away and didn't feel the need for further quotes. When it came to the installation - the installers were polite and considerate - wearing booties as they called them so not to dirty my rugs. After the installation - I had a couple questions and they promptly called me back. The guys were wonderful and I would recommend Morvent One Hour Heating & AC to all my friends & family. Thank you. Great Service for 10 years 1/11/2011

I have been a Club Member for 10yrs prior to moving, during this time they have never late for an appointment quick response time,very knowledgeable, professional,and helpful. The Service Tech took time to go over my options and explain any situation they found. I am happy with the service and company for the last tens years now if I can just get them to service my new home. The guys were wonderful and I would recommend Morvent One Hour Heating & AC to all my friends & family. more

A Good family owed Business 11/11/2010

I have read some of these other reviews. We can't be happier with the service that we have received from them, their service men are straight forward and keep us informed every step of the way. We have been a client for over 5 years, We have had others come to our home only to have them just want to bill us and get to the next house! When we need to get a new system they are the folks for US!!. Morvent your awesome more

Quality Heating and AC Service 11/5/2010

Morvent's One Hour Heating & AC installed our system almost 10 years ago. We have ALWAYS been pleased with dealing with this company, including the salesperson who gave us our options of systems, the men who did the installation, the service person who comes every year for our yearly maintenance, and the receptionist on the telephone with whom we set up appointments. They have always arrived when they said they would be here, and have all been very respectful of our home, always very neat in their work. They are all efficient and friendly people and we feel confident that we have comfortable heating and airconditioning. At the last maintenance check the serviceman found a part that needed to be replaced, which he did at the same visit. It was included on our maintenance contract. We were glad that he caught it before we had a breakdown in the middle of the cold winter. I would surely recommend Morvent's to anyone who is looking for an excellent heating and airconditioning company. more

Go somewhere else or be ready for terrible warranty coverage 9/8/2010

Their salespeople and staff are courteous and professional, and their quotes for new systems were competitive with others we obtained. They also did a good job of offering several options for our home at different price points. They did a good job with the installation, but there have been several surprises which have not been pleasant. We will not call them for *any* of our future HVAC needs, nor would we recommend them to anyone else. First, we chose a system with a SEER 15 rating to get the federal tax credit of $1500. On the day of the installation, the technicians showed up with the new equipment, only to say they couldn't install the system due to our basement being finished with a drywall ceiling, and our deck, which spans the width of our townhouse (we had chosen a 95% efficient furnace which required a new PVC vent line to be installed, similar to what you use to vent your dryer). They did manage to get a new base-level system and do the complete installation that day, but we were disappointed to have to take a step down in the system we wanted (although it did save us some up-front cost). The real negative to this purchase in our experience has been the warranty coverage, which wasn't explained sufficiently to us in any way. In summary, it's great the first year (you'll pay nothing at all for any repair), but becomes a minimum of $255 for any warranty repair after that if you do not have a Morvent's ""Club Membership."" Our story... We had a refrigerant leak about 16 months after the system was installed; I could it hear hissing from the coil part of the air handler. I figured the system was still under warranty, as it says ""10 Year Full Parts Warranty"" and ""5 Year Full Labor Warranty"" on our order form, so I called and scheduled an appointment (the dispatcher makes no mention of cost at the time of scheduling). The technician shows up and says there is a $99 diagnostic fee just to look at the system, at which point he finds the leak in about two minutes. He then tells me the unit isn't under warranty and the cost of the repair is an additional $398. Or, I can renew my annual Gold Club Membership for an additional $276 which will cover the repair, but the diagnostic fee is not covered. I ask about the warranty and he tells me even if it is covered, there is a $156 warranty claim submission fee. I call the main office the next morning to get more details, only to be told the 10-Year and 5-Year warranties I mentioned above are the manufacturer warranties, and that the repair I need somehow isn't covered by them (???). After some fighting, Morvent's calls the manufacturer and says it can be covered under warranty, but I still have to pay $156 (in addition to the $99 diagnostic fee) and that's the best they can do. We were never given any paperwork which discussed these details of the warranty. Extremely disappointing. Skip the Morvent's franchised operations and find a reputable family-owned business that actually stands behind their product and offers a legitimate warranty that isn't misleading. more

Great sales pitch - awful customer service. 4/20/2010

We were looking to have central a/c and ductwork installed in our house so I contacted Morvent’s One Hour for a quote. The salesman arrived on-time and seemed like a nice guy. He talked-up Morvent’s as if they were the best in the business. He was selling us quite well, and we scheduled a follow-up appointment to discuss the quote and our options. The day of our follow-up appointment, the salesman called to say that they needed to reschedule because an engineer needed to visit the house to get a better idea of the work involved. I was a little irritated that he couldn’t have told us this in the days leading up to the scheduled appointment, but I brushed it off since I figured maybe he was just busy and forgot to call sooner. So, we rescheduled the appointment to a time in the morning that worked best for the engineer..and I stayed home from work to accommodate. I waited around for them to arrive that morning , only to receive a call from the salesman (at the same time they were supposed to be at my house) that they would not be coming because the engineer had a “family emergency”. Whether or not this is true I don’t know, but it would have been nice to receive this call before the scheduled appointment time. He apologized and said he’d call back once the engineer was available again to schedule yet another visit. The problem is, he never called back. Two weeks went by and I called Morvent’s to see what was going on. The receptionist apologized and transferred me to a “dispatcher” who said he would look into things and then call me back to reschedule the appointment. Four days have since gone by and no call from Morvent’s. It’s a shame because if their quote was within the range of quotes we had already received from other contractors, we were going to go with them. One thing I don’t understand is why wouldn’t they send an engineer to the house in the first place for the quote? They knew I needed an entire ductwork system installed so why send a guy to the house who isn’t qualified to determine the level of effort involved for the job? They lost a customer simply because their customer service is a mess. So long, Morvent’s. Pros: Professional sales pitch Cons: Failed to arrive for appointments more
