I totally agreed with the bad reviews to this company!! we still waiting for my gate after 6 weeks of liars! my mistake was to pay him upfront, I trusted him and his wife, but its looks they are a team! after that I never saw her and they gave us an invoice with a false info, no address and a web page that it turned out to be for something else, the address they provide at that web page its a trailer community, no a workshop or an office.\r Do not give them money up front to these people!!!! better, find a real Company to do your job! more

We settled on a price to put a fence along the golf course. His wife came over with an estimate and asked for a check for 50% of the money. I wrote it (somewhat reluctantly) on 3/3/2014. I was informed that the fence would be put in by the following Friday as they were running behind because of the weather. Friday came & went and no one contacted me ever. Any contact made was by me. Olivarez was out of town and seemed to have NO control over what was going on here in Richmond. We gave them an ultimatum to get it in by this week Wednesday otherwise we'd like our money back. We did get an immediate answer on that - we don't refund money - so we are probably screwed but I am still hopeful that we'll get a fence this week but not holding my breath! I will never use this company again and luckily for me I never gave the name to several friends of mine who need fence work. I will make sure they stay away and if they do decide to use them NO money up front. more

Olivarez Bros Fence Company did a great job updating our fence. We live in an acreage community in Richmond and the original owners used Olivarez Fence Co almost 15 years ago to install the original fence on this property. The fence is still in great shape, but one side needed to be repaired. Instead of a repair job, we decided to have the entire side replaced so we could change up the 2 gates (a large double gate and a regular entrance gate), and also so we could get a crane into our back yard for yet another household project. Lorenzo Olivarez met with us and listened carefully to what we wanted. He made suggestions on what type of hinges to use on the large double gate, as well as what size to use for the gate posts for both gates. Lorenzo also worked with us to make sure the fence was taken down in a timely manner so that the other contractor could get into our backyard with no problems. When his crew initially took down the fence, they hauled everything off and left our yard spotless. Lorenzo had his crew back to put up our fence a couple of days later. He also made sure that the new fence matched exactly to the older sides of fencing we did not replace. The new fence and gates look great and are very sturdy. The heavy duty, adjustable hinges he installed on our double gate exceed our expectations. They are fantastic. Once his crew had completed their work, they again cleaned up and left our yard spotless. We could not be more pleased with the work done. We highly recommend Olivarez Bros Fence Co and we will be using them again in the future. Since they build strong fences that may be years away. After all the other 3 sides that were built almost 15 years ago still look great. Thank you Lorenzo for such a professional job!! more

We bought fencing and a power gate from Olivarez Fences, what a nightmare!!! They caused $1000 damage to our irrigation system by breaking one pipe and cementing over a sprinkler head. When we pointed it out he simply denied it and stormed off angrily without even looking, although you could clearly see a sprinkler head freshly covered in concrete. Later on our gate stop working, he came onsite when I wasn't home and removed the batteries from the gate when all that was wrong was the gfi breaker was tripped. Now I have a gate that doesn't work and I cant get him to even return a call to get my batteries back. I am filing a theft claim with the local PD. Stay away from this guy at all costs!!!!!!! more

We will NEVER use this company again. They came the day I called, however could not fix the gate at the time. When the guy left he said his boss would call me that day. They didn't call. I called every day for 4 days and couldn't get ahold of anyone. Noone answered and their mailbox was full every time I called. They had left our gate completely dismantled with no explanation of when they would be back or even what needed to be done. On the 5th day some1 drove up to our fence and took the arm without even letting us know they were there. Another few calls w/ a full mailbox...a couple days later Mr Olivarez came with a new battery and a new arm and said that it would be $1000.00. We told him to come back the following week after we got paid and he offered to hold onto a post-dated check, which he cashed RIGHT AWAY and overdrafted our account!!! BEWARE OF THIS SCAMMER!!!!! more

Olivarez Bros Fence Company is a good business to work with. They gave me a good estimate and provided insightful recommendations to get the job done right. Lorenzo Olivarez spent a lot of time informing me and my wife about common mistakes that others make and made sure that we got our money's worth. We certainly have the sturdiest iron fence in our neighborhood and are still receiving compliments on it to this day. I did a lot of research and received approx. 10 other estimates before I found a company who would take the time to do the extra work that I was looking for without charging a lot of extra money. I give Olivarez Bros Fence Company my highest recommendation for the work that they did for me. If you don't want your fence put together with cheap materials or have fence posts that will fall over in a high wind then you need to use these guys. I had them dig the post holes a minimum of an extra foot deeper than all of the other contractors and upgraded the fence materials to industrial quality for only aout $250 more. They also provided all of the labor (electrician, brick mason for columns) for the job where others told me that it would be my responsibility to get someone to do this work myself. Also, they do their own on site welding work and can customize on the fly. No one else does this without charging an arm and a leg. It was included in the original estimate--unheard of!! I know that I made the right decision to go with these guys. OLIVAREZ BROS FENCE COMPANY IS THE BEST IN HOUSTON!!! Don't be fooled by others--if the person quoting the estimate doesn't know how to do the work themselves then they will tell you anything to make a sale. Read reviews on others if you don't believe me. There are many unhappy fence customers out there who should have considered Olivarez Bros fence Company. If you already screwed up and are unhappy with your fence then call them to fix it. They will do it quickly and for a very reasonable price. I can 't say enough about Olivarez Bros Fence Company. The certainly went the extra mile for me and my wife and now all of my neighbors are clamoring for their business. Do the right thing--call Olivarez Bros Fence Company now!! If you are wondering--I do not work for this company. I am just happy with the work that they did for me at my home located in stylish Sienna Plantation outside of Houston.
