Great doctor thats been in the buisness for years!! Very generous too! They have a great staff and very clean facility, have taken both cat and dog there since iv had them!! A+ more

Thank you for being the best vet I have ever known. You are so compassionate and you love all animals as if they were yours. The Lord has a special place and heaven for people like you who love his animals he has created. All animals will make it to the Celestial degree where God, the Father and Christ dwell forever and I know you'll be there in the highest heaven after judgement day. more

They love getting treats 5/18/2011

It was a sad day to have to put your dog down but the doctor and staff were the best and most caring group I have ever experienced. That is from me and my children. They love getting treats for them when they take the dog to the vet. more

Our pets love to go to the vet 5/12/2011

My family has taken our pets to Dr. Hicks the entire time Old Town Animal Hospital has been in Katy. We have had medical emergencies in the middle of the night and he has always met us at the clinic - even if it was 3 a.m. We believe our pets have received the best possible veterinary care and think the world of Dr.Hicks. He really cares about the animals. His staff is also top-notch too! We have had plenty of opportunities to watch them care for the animals when they did not know we were looking. They care just as much as Dr. Hicks. Our pets love to go to the vet - if they have to stay overnight, they're not really eager to leave. We rank Dr. Hicks and Old Town Animal Hospital an A+ and highly recommend them. more

This place is really great. I took my dog there, and she received world class service, I would never trust anyone else with my animals ever again. I'm stuck at old town animal hospital for life. They're the best! more

My vet for several years 5/9/2011

I have used Dr. Hicks at Old Town Animal Hospital as my vet for several years. The staff is fantastic and Dr. Hicks has always taken time to answer all my questions. My dogs just love going to the vet now! more

Thank goodness for Dr. Hicks 5/5/2011

When I first went to Dr. Hicks office in Katy, it was for an emergency. My puppy had been bitten by one of the dogs in the backyard, I'm thinking domination establishment, and his little face started to swell. I looked all through the phone books and called numerous clinics, none of them could take him until the next or two days. And these were emergency clinics! Thank goodness for Dr. Hicks and his wonderful staff! It was 10 minutes to closing time, and I live 10 minutes away, said that they would take me as soon as I could get there. Needless to say my pup is doing great and thank you Dr. Hicks! more

Dr. Hicks has been my pets vet for many years he was great and very cheap prices compared to other vets I have gone to. His techs were very nice as well, I have nothing bad to say about Dr. Hicks and his staff. more

Dr. Hicks is the best vet I have ever known 4/22/2011

Don't listen to the bad reviews!Dr. Hicks is the best vet I have ever known.We had to put our dog down a couple of years ago, our dog had a stroke. So we loaded him into the back of the truck and hauled him over to O.T.A.H. Within seconds Dr. Hicks came outside and examined our dog. He said "" I'm not going to move him, he's already in enough pain. I'm just going to uthinize him right here."" Within days of our dogs death, Dr. Hicks staff sent us a postcard saying how sorry they were for our loss. If that's not the best vet I don't know who is. more

Dr. Hicks and his staff are the most compassionate people 4/20/2011

When I moved from Katy to the country several years ago, I was unable to take my 10-year-old toy poodle, Pepe, with me. I had no place to keep him at the new place because of a conflict with another dog and I was really afraid he would get hurt. Dr. Hicks had been Pepe's veterinarian for many years. He saw me agonizing over what to do with Pepe. Dr. Hicks and his wife graciously took in my dog as one of their own. They kept him at the clinic during the day and took him home with them at night and on weekends. Pepe became the clinic mascot. I could tell that the staff at Old Town Animal Hospital really loved him by the way they played with him. He got lots of love and attention from the staff and customers. Staff members even took turns on weekends taking him home with them. I couldn't have asked for better treatment of my dog. more

I am so surprised by the previous review. Dr. Hicks and his staff are wonderful. It is like an old time vet's office. Nothing fancy, just caring for the animals. I have called him on weekends and holidays and he always calls me back. I would highly recommend him! more

We have taken our animals to Dr. Hicks for years. He and his staff have always provided excellent care. He has always been willing to carefully explain everything that is going on concerning any of our pets. We would never consider going anywhere else besides to Dr. Hicks and the caring people at Old Town Animal Hospital. more

We are very thankful 4/7/2011

I wanted to thank you so much for your kindness treating Baby Girl. She died peacefully at home two days after she last saw you. Please let Doc know how much we appreciate the steroid shot he gave her so she could come home and enjoy her last days (brisket and potatoes for meals and playing in the yard :) ) Also we are very thankful that you let us pay our bill over time. more
