I was a tourist and was told I HAD to eat here, so I did. BIG, BIG mistake. I was shocked when I opened the menu and saw the prices for the minimal choices. If I wanted a tough, d...

Old Key Lime House was phenomenal! The view was breathtaking and beautiful, the food was delicious, and the service was great! I visited twice during my 2 week visit in FL and ordered the crab cake sandwich, bang bang shrimp, and the delicious Key Lime pie! I was pleased with everything and definitely plan on going back again soon! Can't wait! more

We visited here while on vacation as we really wanted some seafood, the food was delicious. Very large portions - we had the fried shrimp (yum), the shrimp and scallop pasta (eh), seafood dip (yum), lobster bisque (yum), margaritas (eh). We were too stuffed to have any dessert. The service was ok but it's a relaxed atmosphere so I guess that's to be expected. We sat by the water which was nice, there was live music which was pretty good. Overall, would recommend if you want a tourist experience. more

Great spot for tourists, good view, cold drinks, and good lookin staff. Never eaten in the actual restaurant but the lobster roll is "money"(that's right i quoted it). Just get the roll, drink and enjoy the scenery more

I've eaten here 3 times in the last 4 years. This time the food quality was nothing special. The "jasmine" rice had no flavor and was dried out. The key lime pie, which was great before, was mostly sugar. Plus the price was high--almost $40 for one person. more

Went to Old Key Lime House for a special occasion, and what a nice surprise. The setting could not be beat, who would have thought Lantana had such a view. No matter where you sit, you have a great view of the water. The service was very good, and the food was out rather quickly, (it was a weekday)\r The apps of calamari, were kind of small, wish the portions had been a llittle bigger, but still tasted good, nice breading. \r The bang shrimp were Awesome, very meaty and tasty. The grilled chicken sandwich and fries were very good, the fries seemed to be breaded with extra crunch. The Fish and Chips had an amazing breading and crunch, would order that again. The cobb salad was a typical salad, no extra frills just your average cold pieces of chicken and cheese, bacon and dressing, not crazy about the dressing, very strong flavor.\r I must say , I am not a fan of Key Lime pie because of such a tart taste, but theirs was so CREAMY, like cheese cake and sweet, it was PERFECT!\r Would go again just for that. more

Unimpressed. Asked the bartender if he had a good India Pale Ale (IPA). He said "what's that?". Then he proceeds to tell me that they have a really good beer selection. This "really good selection" consisted of a few overpriced anheiser busch products and a Sam Adams. The panko shrimp were small, over-fried, and over-priced. we were very disappointed. more

Was treated to this place for the first time Friday night and it was busy and a tourist trap I'm sure, but we still had a pleasant experience nonetheless! My friend and I were given a buzzer and told the wait would be 30 minutes but our table was ready within 5, so we lucked out!\r The upstairs bar was so cute and funky! I love the christmas lights strung up everywhere and the view of the water and boats just can't be beat. I had an extremely generously poured plastic glass of wine while we waited for our table, it was a good amount and definitely not a rip off; was pleasantly surprised with the amount given!\r We didn't end up with a table along the water but overall we had a really enjoyable dinner. Our waitress was very knowledgeable and friendly and did a good job being attentive, even though it was busy. I had the half portion of the fried shrimp which was plenty; about 10-12 shrimp with fries. The shrimp were fresh and slightly sweet with a good light batter. You can't really screw up fried food!\r My boyfriend had the hogfish and gave me a bite. It was extremely meaty, white, and fresh with good flavor. While it didn't seem like a large portion, it was a smaller dish with sweet potatoes and asparagus.\r Overall I had a really nice first time experience at this restaurant and can't wait to come back! It was really cute and a good menu mix of classic bar foods like wings and soups along with classier dishes like fresh fish and seafood. Give it a try if you love Old Florida funky rustic decor and food! more

Granted my immediate experience here was bad, but they did nothing to redeem themselves.\r \r We are restaurant people. We work in them, sell to them, dine in them, etc. We understand staggering tables and not putting 2 tops where a 6 top should be. That being said, when your restaurant is DEAD on a Friday night as Key Lime House was, you may want to relax your moronic hostess rules. \r \r Outr friends were only 15 minutes away. They had a minimum of 15 tables open that were bigger than the 2 top they insisted upon us sitting at to wait, then transfer. I'm sure your server appreciates that move, by the way.\r \r So we sat for 15 minutes. We had a drink and probably the worst fish dip I have ever had in my life only to move tables and sections as soon as our friends arrived (just like we said they would).\r \r Onto a bigger table with even more food quality issues. Everything that was ordered simply tasted terrible and cold. It was a Friday night and the place gets good reviews from people.\r \r I love the idea of Old Florida harbor front dining. Sounds cool. I wish someone would tell me a quality place to actually experience it in S. Palm Beach because Old Key Lime House should simply be condemned. more

It was a highlight of my visit. My dad is a local and made the suggestion. The piña colada was good, and of course the key lime pie was awesome. The setting is quite peaceful, right on the water. At the time they had a live band, playing 90's alternatives. I have to admit; hearing "Badfish" by Sublime solidified the trip. more

The Old Key Lime House is great place to relax and enjoy a cool drink on hot day and watch the world go by. Stop in for some nice fish options, grilled-blackened-fried, your choice. Not a tourist trap like many others. more

Lobster tail and clams were well prepared crab cakes were meaty and almost creamy key lime pie tasted like delicious cheesecake and did not have a distinctive lime taste more

One of the first things you learn when you eat here is the place was pretty much demolished by Hurricane Wilma a few years back. It has been rebuilt very well and has a cool grass roof in the back area. \r \r The food was another you learn here and that lesson is quite good and tasty. A few of us had the Conch Chowder and it had a nice spicy level and plenty of Conch. The entrees were all nice too so anything you pick I think you will be happy with and as anywhere else do not be afraid to ask the wait staff for their opinion. more

Great view! Good food on the restaraunt side but a little pricey. The bar side has cheaper food and drinks, just as great of a view but more traditional pub food. Overall I love this place! more
