First I am not just this overweight guy with a faux hawk at Old Chicago, I am THE overweight guy with a faux hawk at Old Chicago. For every little ""Couldn?t"" on the internet who cries, know I'm turning over 15-25 tables a night with fantastic service. I'm top tier almost nightly in tips, and generally my tables are impressed with my service. But let's get to your review. First off some topping we do have that you forgot, bell peppers, chicken, garlic, and both a red and green pesto. I actually agree with you on the fact we could use a few more toppings, however one of them is not broccoli! We could use jalape?os, salami, spinach, or feta. Any reviewer who says a place having ham and pineapple immediately looses points in their book, loses point in MY book. Guaranteed we'll be outselling Hawaiian pizzas to broccoli pizzas! I think I remember your table but I'm not 100% on that. The reason I was quick with you was the fact you kept asking about certain toppings after I told you what we had. I wasn't rude and I really doubt I was anything but quick. You continuing to whine about toppings we didn't have was annoying and unpleasant. As was finding your review. But alas, I'm sure you'll be back, so say Hi. I'll be sportin' that faux hawk, we can have a laugh, and I'll know your not here for the Hawaiian. By the way anyone with a faux hawk has the internet; just good to keep in mind before you flame any more of my kind.\r \r <3FattyFaux Pros: Hawaiian Pizzas, Servers with FauxHawks, No Broccoli! Cons: Having your performance rated on the Internet. lolz. more

Don't Get Ahead of Yourself Just Because I Gave Them Four Stars, There is an Explaination to That... Okay? 1/2/2008

Now, before I get too far into this review and forget to mention this... I only gave this four stars because it is the only place you can get Chicago Pizza North of San Francisco (especially since Uno's mysteriously disappeared from here). My first Chicago pizza ever was in actual Chicago at a place (I forget the name) that had only been open for a week where I could tell the workers had not really figured out their flow just yet. The location was in a part of town no one was really walking around, and there was only one other man in there who was only there for some beer. This place I have mentioned, blew Old Chicago Pizza in Petaluma away, and I am willing to bet that place is one of the worst in Chicago. The toppings are incredibly limited to only olives, onions, tomatoes, mushrooms, peperoni, sausage and artichokes... and for some reason they offer ham and pineapple. One of my policies on telling a place is not legit is their toppings. They for some reason do not have broccoli or spinach, but they have ham and pineapple. Any place that has ham and pineapple or a Hawaiian pizza immediately looses points in my book. Not to mention, that one of their servers... this overweight guy with a faux-hawk is extremely annoying and unpleasant. I went there twice, and I only went again because of a lack of options and because this place is decent if you are craving Chicago Pizza (which I rarely do as I, along with all intelligent and worthy pizza condesuers know, prefer a Neapolitan or New York pie by miles). Other than that overweight guy with a bad attitude and the lack of options in toppings, this place is good. I would not cut off my arm for them - but I would go there if I wanted Chicago pizza and I can't go to Uno's since it is gone now and I live in California. The only reason this place is not average is because it is decent and the only place to get Chicago pie - and because there is nice view of Downtown's 24 Hour Fitness directly across the street. Pros: Good Chicago Pie considering the location of being in California Cons: Overweight Faux Hawk Server, Lack of Topping Options, Fact that they have ham and pineapple, I forgot to mention the over priced lack luster ""salad"" and oh yeah, the thin is insulting more

The best pizza west of the Mississippi! 10/24/2007

It is mouthwatering good! If thick crust is your thing, this is the place. The dough and their delicious ingredients are seriously good! Pros: Divine! more

Doughy but tasty 1/12/2006

If they had got the dough right ,they would have earned a highly recommended. I ordered the combo deep dish, $26. The meld of flavors - the sauce, cheese, toppings was just fabulous. This is what pizza needs to taste like and it is near perfect. The big disappointment was the bottom crust was half cooked. Since this the hardest thing in preparing a pizza I expect it to be done right. I was here for lunch and the window seat from the second floor offered a dining experience that is rare in Sonoma county. It did take 30 minutes to get the pizza, but that is to be expected. The waitress was very good. Pros: meld of flavors, window view Cons: gooey crust, value, parking more

Old Chicago Pizza - Pizza Heaven! 11/11/2005

This is the kind of pizza joint the gang from the TV Show ""Cheers"" would hang out at. Fabulously thick pizza loaded with cheese and dough that melts on your tongue coupled with a cozy & unpretentious setting. Sure the building is historically old and the seating is a little crowded but that's part of the charm. The staff is helpful & the food is ""just roll up your sleeves and dig in"" good. They charge a little more than other pizza joints and it takes a while for the thick deep dish pizza to cook, but you are really getting your money's worth. Cheers! Pros: Fabulous Pizza, relaxed environment, Cozy environment Cons: Difficult parking more

very good pizza- but get it to go! 7/30/2005

Over the years, we've eaten here several times. The pizza is deep dish and very good. The crust is thick but not doughy. The toppings are quality and flavorful. Seating is cramped and being as how the building is old and the ceilings tall, very noisy. The wait between the salad(average),bread(good) and the pizza is very long. If you are dining alone bring a book. Our last dining in experience at Old Chicago will be our last. The waitress (not too friendly to begin with) spilled my Sangeovese in my lap and did not even offer an apology. The wine list is quite good and beer selection adequate for a pizza joint. When I brought this to the attetion of the manager, she said I had spilled the wine and offered no satisfaction. Completely unproffesional. There is a takeout branch accross town. I strongly suggest going there. Pros: food, value, wine list Cons: service, noise, seating more

Terrific pizza. Long wait but ssooooo worth it! By far the best pizzas I've ever had, also very consistent. Pros: inexpensive, excellent Cons: wait more

Best Pizza in Sonoma County 2/18/2004

I'm a discerning pizza connoisseur, and this is the best pizza in Sonoma County. Hands down. The funky brick building, an early 1900's brothel, is charming, despite being cramped and decorated with worn carpet and a little fading beer company regaila. Service isn't exemplary but the pizza, deep with melting mozzarella, more than makes up for it. Pros: deep dish pizza, decent parking more
