Company buys used parts off Craigslist and sells them to customers as NEW. His long repair times comes from buying used parts on Craigslist and, most likely, eBay.\r \r When a repair fails, he refuses to take care of the customer.\r \r How do I know this? He just tried to buy a used Colorwheel from a reputable eBayer/Craigslister I know who makes cost effective repairs; he said he wouldn't pay ""A nickel more than $50"" for, what I know to be a good, near new, colorwheel. Calling back to inquire what he charged for a repair that needed that same colorwheel he claimed the part was $265!\r \r If he does it once, he does it all the time. You are warned. more

Dropped of a stereo receiver, which they had for 6 months and did not fix anything. Never received one phone call about the repair. I called several times and was always told it was ""on the bench"", and ""it'll be ready in a day or two."" The quote to repair the component went up every time I called. When I asked about a refund for the $25 diagnostic fee, Bob asked if I was learning impaired. more

I called around to all the local repair stores tryin to find my Lamp for my DLP TV. I found that most of the stores do not keep these parts in stock based on there cost and would take 3-4 business days to get the parts and setup a service time which takes 2 trips, however when I called Ofalloin Electronics they were fast and friendly had the parts in stock , they came to my house promptly and installed the lamp and also cleaned all my fans and reset my timer all included.. They were knowledgable about the DLP's and answered all my questions and concerns.. I would definitely recomend them as far as any TV repair from my experience.. more

All I can say about Ofallon Electronics is ""Stay away from them"". They are (by far) the most horible people I have ever delt with in my entire life. And if you don't choose to believe me, check out what other people say about them on Yahoo Small Business and Angies list (or anywhere you choose to look) but please do it before you step foot in there. more

There is nothing good about this place. It is located on Elm street in O'fallon and this was definately a nightmare on Elm Street. They had our tv for 3 months and never fixed it. The customer service is lower than whale s**t and his help...well, his so called help was very unhelpful. so unhelpful that they got into a fist fight with my husband in the parking lot! The place looked like a dump and smelled of dead mice. These people are CROOKS! You HEAR ME THEY ARE CROOKS!!! Do not use this company if you do not want a splitting headache!! more

I have a 52 HDTV that was only about 4-5 years old that the picture was going out on(Fuzzy). I called this Bob who was nice on the first call and I told him the colors were going bad too on my TV. I told him the entire problems and to make sure that he had everything to repair it with. I asked for an estimate for this types of work and he would not say. The TV cost about $1100 Brand new so keep that in mind. These two very unprofessional looking individuals came to my door and took 5 minutes looking at the TV and stated it will be $550 to fix it. I am a single parent with 3 kids with CF and didn't have that kind of money readily avaliable but I needed to have TV because it was the only form of entertainment that we can afford. I asked if this will resolve all the problems and i was told yes. Once the job was complete I stated but the color of the TV is still bad and I was told that would require another visit and cost a additonal amount of $250 dollars to fix. I had already paid with my CC. This was a blow and I could not afford to pay the additional amount of work. I could still watch the TV but the color was and still is horrible. WIthin the 2+ weeks the picture started to go fuzzy so I called to ask for someone to come back because I was not satisfied. This Bob guy hung up on me the first time and I called back three or four more times and finally he answered again and basically this very unprofessional type of behavior went on for over a month and never will he guarantee any of the work being done. This guy cursed at me, yelled and hung up many times and all I was asking was can someone come check out the work that was preformed. I am broke and busted and with a TV that has a horrible picture quality. These people took my money and didn't deliver I would not recommend them to any one. I could have had a brand new TV by now and being able to have just some simple pleasures. I cant even get them to come back and fix the problem. Pros: NONE Cons: Entire experience more

Bob says he will call you, but doesn't. The onus is on you the customer to seek updates even when the store employees tell you they will keep you informed. Cons: Terrible communication more

Has to be the worst electronics repair business anywhere. They had my TV for over a month and when I finally got it back, it was still broken. During the time they had the set, I had to constantly ask the status as no one from the shop would bother to call. At every call, they had nothing but excuses as to why they were having troubles repairing my TV. And this despite assurances from them that the set would be repaired in a few days when they picked it up. After a week, when I called to ask the status, their question for me was: ""Did you want us to go ahead and repair your TV?"" I honestly don't know how the place stays in business: poor customer service and obvious inadequate knowledge of repairing electronics. So much for wanting to support local small businesses. I can't stress enough to avoid this business at all costs. more
