Editorial review from Citysearch 1/28/2015

Wednesday of last week on my way back to LA from San Diego, I had a flat tire on the 5 FWY and had to be towed from Del Mar to Oceanside. We arrived at Oceanside Cycle Supply after closing, it was almost 6 PM so I was going to leave the bike and rent a motel room. When one of the mechanics, Michael, heard I was going to spend the knight, he offered to stay and change the tube and tire. This was accomplished with the assistance of his manager, Spence. To have a flat at that time of day and have a shop react the way they did makes for a very happy ending. It is great to find people that think outside the box. I made it home safely and slept in my own bed. more

Shop there and you'll never shop anywhere else. 3/31/2011

I can't express how happy I am with this place in simple words. Most motorcycle shops are out to make money and have no empathy for customers. Walk into this place and everybody stops what they're doing and helps you. Lots of great used gear, parts, and accessories. Lots of used jackets, pants, helmets and gloves. You won't find a better place in town for prices. They even match ebay prices if possible. I go there at least once a month to check the used stock. It's definitely my favorite bike shop. I ride a Harley and they specialize in Jap bikes but it's still my favorite place to shop for stuff. Don't miss it. more

Happy I found them 11/15/2010

The staff is always friendly and helpful. There is a good selection of tires. The owner, Jimmie, can was willing and able to educate me as to tire selection. I will definitely be going back. more

Where do I begin...I'll start with almost 90 days to get my bike back. Horribly disorganized mom and pop shop. I will say that JImmy was polite when he asked me to never return to his shop. Here's how we got to that point. We agreed to a $1200 repair bill (the bike had been sitting for some time) after I agreed to kreem the tank my self to save a couple bucks. Six weeks later my bike is finally ready to pick up. I hand them $1200 and go out to my bike and the turn signal is broken and it still has the old oil filter on it, the oil hasn't even been change and instead of arguing over the broken turn signals I agree to pay for the turn signals if he'll install for free. 1 hour later I bring the bike back because it's dying when I stop at a light. Six weeks later the bike is done (again) and he wants to charge me $172 for the parts because he says the tank that I brought him had water in it (remember, I kreemed it and it dried for at least 4 weeks before it was re-installed on the bike, he more

Lame 10/15/2010

Dropped off my bike for repair & heard nothing for over a week. I called & they said it is scheduled for the next week. Understandable, I know it is a small shop and they are busy. 3 weeks later it turns out I had a blown head gasket. This is ok as well, aside from the time it took to do 2.5 hours of work. Bottom line is the mechanic destroyed my crank getting it out of the bike. I asked about it and was told it was the only way to remove it (really?). How about leaving it in the bike and calling me? The piston was also damaged from negligence. Could have done the work myself but now need to buy new crank. Owner would not refund money to buy a used crank ($100) to replace the one they damaged. more

  • Oceanside Cycle Supply is North County's independent family owned motorcycle shop. See us for one stop shopping for motorcycles, parts, accessories, service and insurance. We enjoy a nice family atmosphere here and you are welcome to join us.

The original store opened for business in 1976
and was located on North Coast Highway and was, shall we say, a bit tight with only 800 sq. ft. in the entire store.

Jim and Peggy Martin purchased the business in September 1977.
After 10 years of growth we relocated the store to it's present location at 1617 South Coast Highway, adding a full service department, used bike sales and expanded the parts and accessories departments.

At Oceanside Cycle Supply, It is our desire to greet each customer with smiling faces
and a cheerful hello. At the same time, provide the best products and service at reasonable prices. The service department prides itself in making sure each job is done right the first time.

We want you to make Oceanside Cycle Supply home for all of your motorcycle service and parts. Visit our sales room and see our selection of riding apparel..
