I recently contacted OC AutoHaus about 6/6/2012

I recently contacted OC AutoHaus about a particular a suv they had. Spoke with the ""GM"" Tim there. Seemed like a nice guy to start the conversation out, said they had just gotten the car and it needed to be detailed and serviced. We were going to go up there due to it's a hour drive to test drive it said it wouldn't be available till after 2 pm on Saturday. I asked him if we could just come up Sunday he said he was off and he was the only one that could give us the break on it. I told him I would let him know, he text me on Saturday at 3:51 pm stating ""Chris-where you at buddy? Tim OC Autohaus"" I didn't know we became buddies so quickly first of all and your texting? I responded to him with I have to wait till Monday to get a preapproval letter from my finance manager since she never sent it to me. His response was ""ok"" then it was I am off tomorrow (Sunday) we we can do it Monday-but I could do the deal today without it if you want. \r \r I responded back I have to wait till Monday. \r \r His response at 6:31pm on Saturday ""I'm gonna pass on this sale brother-Sorry- but I don't like being left hanging-I just did a lot of work on the car- so I raised the price-good luck in your next purchase some where else-Tim.\r \r I wouldn't recommend dealing with Tim from OC Auto Haus as for he is a tool. Referred to me as brother, I'm sorry I've served my country in the USMC and lost brothers in that, I didn't see us being brothers of me inquiring about a suv. I would highly recommend staying away from them and doing business else where. \r \r I saved the text he sent just for the purpose of I hate tool salespeople that go back on their word. I've been searching for months for a particular suv and they had it, but I'd rather do business somewhere a little more trusting and not such tool salespeople. more

Bad Experience 6/12/2010

I normally don’t write negative reviews, but please ask OC Autohaus a lot of questions before you buy from them. What happened to me is something I don’t want to happen to you. They sold me a black 2006 Lexus GS300 that had been in multiple accidents and had been repainted more than 75% of the body. I confirmed this with the Lexus dealership and 2 independent auto body shops. Now I’m not sure what other things I will find out about the car. The people who work at OC Autohaus are “supposedly” professionals in the business, they should know a when a car has had body work or been repainted. They have to - simply b/c when buying the car, they need to know how much to buy it for. Of course, they deny having any previous knowledge of this. As a remedy, they offered to color sand it, but the body shop they used was terrible and only left bigger swirls on a black car. Also, they did not detail the car properly in order to hide the paint issues. After I had it detailed I found out about the body work and paint issues. In addition to that, I verbally confirmed before agreeing to buy the car if the major 30k service had been completed, and they said “yes” - this was never done. Their response to all this, is I bought a “used car”. OC Autohaus has not fixed any of the major issues. They did fix the minor cheap things that should have been fixed anyway, but they cut corners on the major expenses. Other small issues: when I picked up the car the passenger floor panel was missing and they simply removed it from another car into mine, they never included an extra key, the cargo net for the trunk was missing, and moisture developed in the front headlight and they advised me to go to Lexus to have it repaired and have the Lexus dealership eat the cost. Its small things like these that make me question the people who work at OC Autohaus and the company itself. Buyer beware! more

""Good afternoon Chris; There are several areas that many people find disagreeable to deal with… The IRS, lawyers and car dealers. Your Company has made car shopping a real pleasure though. Starting with your inventory of some very nice vehicles, knowledgeable staff and top it off with Lynn Ho, who I consider “the very best”. Lynn takes away the thought of the stereotypical car salesperson with her friendly attitude, knowledge and special care for her customers. She makes the ordeal of car shopping a pleasurable experience and I look forward to recommending OC Autohaus to my friends and acquaintances. To you and the staff at OC Autohaus, thank you for your courtesy and assistance with our last purchase. Your friend. "" \r more

Thank you! 1/30/2010

Dear Lynn, Danny, and all the rest of the OC Autohaus staff,\r Thank you for your patience with me and my light situation. There is a lot to learn about the newer cars, especially switching from a 1987 Benz to a 2006. Lots of bells and whistles on the newer cars!! \r Your service is outstanding and I'd like to thank you that. It's hard to find good service oriented businesses. \r Once again, \r THANKS...\r Gail Laporte\r \r \r \r Pros: Great service! Customer satisfaction! more

THANK YOU 1/1/2010

\r \r Most recently, I purchased a 2008 Lexus from OC Autohaus. During my initial inquiry, I was impressed with the exceptional and personal service that OC Autohaus affords its customers. From start to finish, I worked with a very knowledgeable sales person, Lynn Ho. She was very well versed in all aspects of the Lexus and patiently answered all my inquiries. Eventually, I met Chris Thai and April Le who, like Lynn, exuded the same friendliness and knowledge about the various automobiles at OC. For the discerning car-buying-public, I strongly recommend OC Autohaus for great service and selection! As I indicated to Chris, I will surely be returning for my next purchase. Thank you all, Randall Tampa \r \r \r more

Owner is a #1 jerk I have ever come across... 12/23/2009

At first, I was impressed with the sales person and thought I could trust him and hence went with the purchase. But after that, a few things (paint/dent repair, scratched wheels, lump in one tire - though replaced) were disclosed after I signed the contract, though I did not like it, I still decided to buy. At home, my mechanic found active active engine oil leaks near the gasket (?) and all 4 fuel injection rod on one side and also a dried leak of the power steering fluid. All these in less than 5 minutes of just looking under the hood and looking at white fumes coming from leaked oil burning near the above mentioned area. Now, the sales person was nice and he said we will take care of that for you, but what does it tell you about this dealership and how can you trust them. They said, they somehow missed it..., then the sales person NICELY asks me to take it to a authorized MB dealership and they will fix it for free as it has some warranty left. I said ok to that as well. Then I ask for the owners manual which was missing and they said they do not have it. They did the same thing for the second key and when I insisted that there is no deal w/o the second key, they pulled out the second key from the magic hat. So this time too I insisted on the manual (and it can be a life saver if you do not know all the diagnostics light...) and this time the Owner Vince (?) comes over the phone and starts yelling that we gave you a good deal below our cost and blah blah like a cheap used car salesman and that you are asking for too much...! AM I ? How about being honest and disclosing everything at first and not after the contract is signed. WHAT ABOUT THE ENGINE OIL LEAKS (in 3 different places) YOU WERE TRYING TO HIDE !? And what hurt the most was that he kept saying that you are CHEAP and buying a USED CAR and not a $65,000 brand new car. THIS IS WHAT HE THINKS ABOUT PEOPLE BUYING USED CARS. He wont say it to your face though if you are buying one but you know exactly what he thinks about you. So go ahead and give him your business. BTW, the owner Vincent is scamming us by posting 5-star reviews for his business himself. You can see it for yourself under Google Business reviews and his Id VincentOC posing as a customer from Texas. Good con job you have going here Vince !? Pros: Sales person was friendly Cons: Hide issues, cursing at customers, 3rd grade used car dealer more

""""I would like to share with everyone who is looking for a nice, quality luxury pre-owned vehicle; about OC Autohaus. I recently purchased a used CLS55 AMG. Like everyone else, I searched online before going out there to inspect the car I want. I found OC Autohaus. The photos of the vehicle looks beautiful on their website and of course, it looks just like it when I got there to test drive. The staff was so knowledgeable about their cars in the lot (I asked about 5 questions, and of course, I already knew the answer. I highly recommend this dealership to everyone that listens. Trust me, you will find honesty, and a quality vehicle at OC Autohaus."" "" William Yang more

Great place to buy luxury vehicles 10/17/2009

Dear Lynn, Just a short note to thank you for all the help you provided – both before and after the sale. You’re extremely knowledgeable, have an eye for detail and honest. The positive energy you radiate made shopping for a car a pleasure. The professional atmosphere of your dealership was like that of Mercedes dealership - except that everyone was friendlier and there was no comparison on the pricing. I really appreciated the way you addressed the minor issue that came up several days after I purchased the car. It is obvious you and your dealership are more concerned about your long-term reputation than maximizing profit on every sale. That is a refreshing change. I will definitely be looking you up the next time I am in the car market. In the mean time, please feel free to list me a reference. Best regards,\r \r -Greg Welch, Laguna Niguel Pros: Quality. Don't waste your time or money here! 8/24/2009

The staff was nice at first until I confronted them about the problems and lies they covered about car I bought from them. I bought a 2005 SL500 from them last year (Jul 2008) and live out of state. I so desperately wanted to report these issues immediately but wanted to give a fair evaluation after taking a period of time to give everyone the benefit of doubt. The car came as scheduled. Upon the delivery inspection, I found dents that they did not tell me about and they denied it saying that it was the 3rd party transportation company *they* hired bc their exit inspection showed nothing. There were three apparent dents: (1) on top of the hood which is noticable when you carefully look at the hood bc it's a white car (2) underneath the license plate (3) by gas gage. These dents could not have ALL been done by the transportation company. I couldn't get them to do anything about that bc it was a final sale and I already paid CASH in full for the car. Frustrated, I took my car for my first test drive. It rained on the day of the delivery so I had to use my windshield wipers. THEY DIDN'T TURN ON!!!! I called 1.800.MERCEDES and they told me I had to take it into the shop. I did and called OC to complain, again. They reluctantly agreed to pay for the windshield wiper repair after the Benz dealership told them what was wrong: the grommets that are supposed to be put in to attach wipers to windshield were not even there, obviously not attached. That is when I found out that the windshield had just recently been replaced. My OC sales rep said she didn't know that it got replaced and said that they must have replaced it during the time they got the car from the original owner bc they may have accidentally damaged it somehow. VERY STRANGE answer. They then offered to pay me $150 for all 3 dents which is ridiculously low bc I cant even get one fixed for that. I had no choice but to agree bc I had no more recourse and was done with them. Six months later, I take my car in for a warranty repair and asked the Benz dealer to also look at my radio which seems to not be working sufficiently (static on regular AM/PM stations). The Benz dealership's finding were that the radio antennas were not attached to the windshield and the only way to resolve this is to replace the *entire* windshield. This is UNBELIEVABLE. A year has passed now since I've owned this vehicle. Last month, my car gave out on the interstate. To find, the alternator failed and was not being charged. Fortunately, I bought an extended warranty and this was covered but the starter battery was not. Another out of pocket expense. All in all, I would *HIGHLY* recommend you be careful with this company and not buy from them unless they are the only dealership left in this country. Btw – I even got the car checked out by a local Benz dealership that OC recommended. Don’t be tricked; they know the dealers/service people very well. Cons: Lies, Lies, Lies... more

Buyer be ware... What you see is OLNY what you'll get!!!? 8/17/2009

I purchased a 2008 Mercedes S550 for about $70,000.00 from this dealer on a Friday, the sales person was really nice and willing to show me the car. When I completed the test drive everything looked good on the car, I only noticed the low gasoline warning light on ... After we agreed to a price I gave them $7000.00 as a down payment. Thinking I could take the car home, I signed all of the purchase papers, after this they told me I would get called when the bank approved the loan application. I have purchased many cars, and this was the first time this happened. Larger dealers can tell you if you are qualified, or not right away. I waited a few hours and called back. I was told that if I wanted to take the car home on that day, they would give it to me if I gave them $6000.00 more for down payment even if I was not approved by a bank yet, or I could wait until Monday to pick up my new car. I proceeded to give them my credit card to charge the $6000.00 they said that for the credit card they would charge me a additional 3% on the $6000.00. By then I only wanted to get my car or my money, and get out of there forever. I paid the extra money and went back to pick up the car. When I received the car It had only one key, a floor mat and the manual books were missing and the gas tank was still empty. when I asked for the floor mat, the key, and manual books, they took the floor mat from another car on display (Have the next victim deal with it) and they offer to SELL me the spare key and manual book at the discounted price of $250.00 for the key and $60.00 for the manual ? CASH only please. I was also charged $1150.00 for the DMV fees on my contract. As of now I have only received a $830.00 bill from the DMV for these fees. In the future I will only deal with larger and more professional dealer establishments. I recommend that you do the same Pros: Nice cars Cons: Once you sign you screwed more
