I eat a lot of Pizza and the thin crust brick oven style is my favorite. Once I had my first pizza here I was hooked. Been back maybe 5 times now and love it.

We bought the ""My Scene Deal"" ($20 for $5) today, and was disappointed. No where does it say dine in only. When we were ordering, they made the 16year old answering the phone explain THEIR error. Won't be eating there again - bad taste in my mouth...... more

Worst experience I've ever had at a restaurant 10/28/2011

I was at NYNY Pizza a couple of weeks ago and had the absolute worst experience I've ever had at a restaurant. After getting our orders wrong twice, the server spilled a piping hot pizza on me. Hot cheese and toppings ended up all over my hands and shirt. It was an accident and I understand that these things happen, but the reaction of the manager was unforgivable. I have worked in the restaurant business in the past and, in well-managed restaurants, any customer complaint (and most certainly those involving injury) bring the manager running to see what he or she can do to help. Not the case at NYNY Pizza. After a long period of time, during which I asked to see the manager several times, he finally came out. My hands were burned, my shirt was ruined, and when I explained this to him he looked at me rather blankly and said ""Yeah? Well, the server is new."" He then just stood there looking at me impatiently like I had inconvenienced him. I could not believe it. Finally, I told him that I felt the very least he could do was comp our meal and he RELUCTANTLY agreed to do so. To the server's credit, when it happened, the server was very apologetic and immediately ran to get ice and napkins for my hands. I wrote to the owners of the restaurant the very next day, but have yet to hear from them. more

Now this is what I call PIZZZZZA!!! 2/28/2010

I love pizza, and will eat any kind, shape, frozen, fresh, and even old pizza. NY NY pizza is probably my favorite. It's so fresh and tastes even better. Your pizza is not made until you order it. You can even watch them make it right there in front of you. BEST PIZZA IN NASHVILLE BY FAR! Pros: Fun upbeat place, Awesome food. more

Best pizza ever 2/23/2010

Every time I go there the pizza gets better and better. I've had a different appetizer every time. The BBQ wings are perfect. And if you want to try something different, go for the Ruben balls. I can't recommend this any higher other than that its the perfect place to take the kids. Great family atmosphere. I love to watch the guys make the pies. You can't go wrong with this place. Pros: Some much to choose from more

Warning: Bad food, indifferent service 1/8/2010

Do not go here. I let the cashier, later I found out she was the manager, know this was my first visit. I asked for a recommendation and got a menu shoved in my face. Then I asked for a slice of pizza and was told they had 1 left, lucky me. I sat down at the bar, seats 3, and 2 waitresses began wrapping forks in napkins next to me. My food arrived some 20 minutes later in a to go box. I asked if they had plates and if this was a place for customers to sit. The mgr. said yes but waitresses usually take bar/counter orders, whatever that means. Upon getting a fork and napkin, no plate, I tried to eat this grease SOAKED crap and couldn't stand it. I actually spit it into my napkin, thinking it was better on the crust, unfortunately it wasn't. The ""cook"" , not really sure he was, asked if everything was alright. I then left in disgust because had no words to describe how bad this experience was. It was worth the $3.80 I spend, by the way that was just for the so called pizza, I drank water. On another note, I think they were getting ready for an inspector because they were throwing of some dough balls that were left in an open container under a counter. Is there a rating for 0. I can get water anywhere. Pros: water Cons: expensive, greasy food and greasier kitchen more

Prices subject to change, WHILE YOU EAT!!!! 9/19/2009

My husband and I ate here recently, and when we received our check, we had been charged incorrectly for an item we ordered. While it was a small amount, it was higher than the price on the menu, so I brought it to the waitresses attention. She returned, embarrased and told us that the manager had told her the price in the menu was correct, and we would have to pay the higher price. We asked to speak to the manager, who came out and was absolutely the rudest I've ever encountered. She told us that they knew the menu was wrong, and that prices were subject to change. I would never trust a company who knowingly charged customers more, just to make a buck. Simply unethical!!! Cons: expensive, long wait, charge higher price than menu states more

GREAT FOOD. 8/19/2009

Everything about this place is great, when it first opened they had alot of trouble with employees and such, but the food was never bad. GREAT service every time i go there and i must say all these people are over exaggerating on their ridiculous one star reviews. i've met the owners, very nice people and i don't know anyone who doesn't like it. ITS NOT your typical pizza Pros: best pizza in all of nashville Cons: nothing. more

NYPD 5/1/2009

We ordered a delivery pizza. I asked him to repeat the amount for the order because I couldn't believe how high it was. I figured it must be really good so I decided to get it for us anyway. Well, it tasted like your typical pizza. Probably won't order again. Cons: Expensive, typical pizza more

Great Italian Alternative to the Chains.. 4/15/2009

My husband and I have been going to NYPD since it opened. Coming from the Chicago area, I missed family-style eateries that weren't a franchised chain. We're always seated immediately and have maybe had to wait for a table once. Even then, the wait was 5 minutes, not 30-45 like you would get somewhere else. We've only had a bad server once in our multiple visits, but we didn't let that spoil our opinion. The crust is great, their sandwiches are perfectly gooey and crispy, and the fried ravioli is a nice way to start the meal. Pros: Great Food, Ample Parking Cons: Nothing heinous enough to list more

Loved the pizza and chicken roll; Great service! 1/28/2009

A friend and I have eaten at NYPD Pizza twice in the last couple of weeks, after she had eaten there after running errands a few weeks before that. Before my first experience there, I checked the reviews and was hesitant about going there. But we had wonderful service and the food was great. On our first visit she asked for an odd pizza combination that they gladly made for her, and she loved! I had DA Bronx (chicken) pizza and it was great also. Last week, she had a huge salad and I had a chicken roll. Both were very tasty. Pros: Quick friendly service, easy parking right in front, close to shopping. more

Average Pizza..Slow Delivery 1/1/2009

We regret this is the only Pizza delivery on this side(South) of the interste in Mt Juliet The Pizza is very average and the delivery times are now up to 1 1/2 hours every time I call. Not just on busy weekends. Pros: slow service or no service Cons: only Pizza close to house more

NYPD passed the NY pizza and hero test! 10/27/2008

As a Native New Yorker that hasn't found any real tasting pizza in 50 years out of New York, NYPD pizza at Mount Juliet came the closest to the real New York taste. The meatball hero came the closest to the taste at Johnny Red's place in Brooklyn back in the 1950s. If the roll hadn't been the typical southern white bread base, it would have been truly outstanding. I'll go back as often as my clogged arteries allow. Pros: Easy parking, authentic Italian NY taste. Cons: Menu type too damn small for anyone over 25t to read. more

worst food i have ever ate 8/17/2008

this was the worst food i have ever ate, the price was too high & you don't get what you order good luck to the next person who dares to order from this place. more

Horrible Customer Service 7/31/2008

I've been here with friends 3x and it started out bad and seems to be getting worse with each visit. It takes forever to eat and get service here. Don't know why they can't get it together. Maybe because they hire teenagers that don't care much? I think they could do much better business if they would focus on getting people in and out. We won't be going back as we have found a new pizza joint to hang at. If you go, prepare to wait a long, long time for service and to repeat your order over and over. Cons: virtually no service, pizza is not worth the price they are selling it for. more

The Best Pizza Around 6/27/2008

We love this pizza. My husband and I go there whenever we have a chance to get out. We have four kids and one on the way. So you know when we get out it's a special time. The food there is so good. They have the best pesto pizza that you must try. We don't live that close to it and we drive out of our way sometimes to go and pick it up. You must try! We've always had great service there and the atmosphere is fun and clean. Try it! Pros: The food and the Providence Marketplace atmostphere. Cons: Out of the way. more

Wait on yourself or don't get food!!! 6/11/2008

I hate even leaving one star for this place. This is the epitome of the worst customer service you could get anywhere! When they opened my husband and I went and the server was so totally slow that dining there, mind you, pizza only took almost 2 hours. The server forgot my husband's beer and we had to ask for it 3 times! There weren't many people there so they weren't slammed or anything. The food was o.k. but since it took forever to get it the thrill was gone. We said we'd never go back. So the other day a friend of my husbands said that he had went and it was better than it was when they opened. We thought we'd give it another try. We entered, there was no one to greet us. We sat down and no one came over ... EVER!! We sat for 9 minutes. We were constantly locking eyes with the manager, we could guess he was the manager because he had a different type uniform on and was behind the counter looking official, and he would look at us and look away. The restaurant was only 30% full and all the staff seemed to be hanging out with some local cops who were at a table nearby. But to totally go completely unnoticed / ignored is ridiculous. We can officially say we won't EVER go back or speak well of it to anyone. So I'd say go here only if your willing to wait on yourself! Pros: Absolutely nothing Cons: Zero service. more
